FANTASTIC....you just made an old pilot cry....thanks for the memories.
My ears are ringing now, what a fantastic era of jet aviation bliss.
Indeed! This is true aviation, the roar of turbojet engines has some of the best harmonies in the history of aviation
That Ecuatoriana DC-10 at the end rocketing toward the sky was magnificent.
Amazing video. Plus a real good livery. Like old Avianca. 757 -200.
8:19 Its N844AA - the American B727 that disappeared in 2003
sure miss those L1011s. love the noise the 727 makes. loud and proud!!!
This quality is pretty amazing for 1997!
So nice to watch footage from the past, remembering such great planes and airlines!
This video made my day seeing an ALM MD80 as well as all the AAircraft at MIA!!!
Wow, that's a huge variety of airlines back then. Now it's just mostly legacy airlines that dominate now.
Klasse Video über Die alten Flugzeuge Die 747 200 DC8 L1011 DC10 B727 und Die Air Jamaica MD83 Das waren Flugzeuge zum Hören 👍👍👍👍✈️✈️✈️✈️

What a thrill to see ALM and Air Aruba. Amazing
Iconic spotting!
The NOISE!!! Superb ❣
Those sounds are amazing
Kinda surprised how many 737-200s were still flying into MIA in 1997. It’s nice to see USAir, Continental, TWA and Northwest still flying in these old vids. And an Iberia DC-9? South Africa 747? Just awesome
12:52 whats an iberia md80 doing at MIA?
...and also the one of Aviaco, which is (was) also a Spanish airline
Iberia flew to several cities in Central America out of the concurse E Satellite. They'd wait for the jumbo to come in mid day and then all depart around the same time. 3 or 4 flights a day.
This plane was a DC-9-30, Iberia had a Miami hub with any DC 9
Loved your fantastic video thanku so much love an God bless x
My goodness, a whole fleet of DC-8s lined up on the ramp. And an L1011
Anybody catch that Iberia DC-9? Cool, but why?
Extensive maintenance only available at Douglas factories?
Back then, Iberia operated a mini hub with flights to several destinations in Central America and the Caribbean.
@@fcou4464 just read into it. Last flight when hub closed was sept 28 2004 when the last Iberia a319 left for good. Sad.
Love the thumbnail. Good memories. Greetings from Ecuador!
0:41 Saeta, another defunct airline from Ecuador.
3:40 thumbnail airline. Ecuatoriana de Aviación.

12:52 how in the world would you get from Miami to Madrid in such a small airplane
Iberia flew smaller planes to Central America. Used MIA as a transit point. Until TSA insulted the Spanish Royal family!!!
Iberia used DC-10-30 and Boeing 747-200, today with Airbus A330-200/300
10:08 this 747-200 is not scrapped! Its stored :D
