I am hands down an Island Loving boy and enjoy the Caribbean, but the two week trip I took to Alaska with my parents in 2009 during Alaska's 50th anniversary of being a state was awesome. It was one of the most fabulous trips / adventure I have been on.I think that everyone should visit Alaska. We flew into Fairbanks and took a week land tour by bus & train to Seward where we got on a ship and crused the inside passage. I lost my Dad in 2020 and my mother in 2022 and this Vlog brought back so many happy memories. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I count it a privilege to be part of The Donnelly Fammilly!
My best advice to everyone is to just take the Glacier Shuttle that is available at every little booth at the port. It is cheaper than the excursions and the bus runs every half hour to and from port and glacier. Nugget falls is an easy hike and my mom even did it with a push walker. Thats why I tell people NOT to PAR IT WITH ANOTHER EXCURSION. Our friends did it in conjunction with something else and had very little time at the glacier..JUST DO THE GLACIER SHUTTLE AND WALK SEVERAL TRAILS!! (For anyone who hasn't been there before)
This is great advice! I look forward to returning to Alaska and doing a LOT of hiking!!!

You guys should consider taking your kiddos on an Alaskan cruise or just trip to Alaska and perhaps trip (or trips) to Canada 🇨🇦 too!
This is fascinating my sister is on an Alaska cruise right now from Vancouver Bc with her hubby probably feels like a full day as you were up at 5am!

That was a pretty nice glacier in Alaska. So clear and moist.
In Alaska cruises fun, especially seeing the glaciers when they have to turn that is the best. It's cold. I think that's a one time we had to wear our jackets time. It was jack but we in Alaska in July several years ago I think. Remember but it's so much fun.
Yess last year I went to Alaska end of May.
No rain, it was pretty warm, got sun burnt, and we were in the outdoor pool.

Jill thanks for taking us along! Dont know if you have ever been but Glacier National Park in Montana is beautiful and has a lake called Iceberg lake ! Beautiful and you hear them falling into to the water! Now i want to go to Alaska!!!

This could be the perfect cruise for me. I prefer cloudy over sunshine (thunderstorms are my favorite). It seems so much more relaxed and calm. I also loathe swimsuits.

I'm from Alaska. We go to Juneau all the time to take a ferry to get to our cabin in Haines. Unless we drive from Anchorage. Then we go thru Canada and then go back into Alaska.

HAHA I was just about to comment on the cruise line bringing a bottle of Ken's to the table and you mentioned it was yours. I don't think I am so specific on one thing that I would bring it on a cruise. I just always ask for what I want if they don't have my specific flavor and they usually come up with something (at least on DCL they do..hahaha)
I am super easy going with a lot of things- but I LOVE my Ken’s dressing. I eat a lot of salads and nothing (in my opinion) compares to Ken’s Italian Dressing and Marinade ❤️❤️❤️

We have been looking into cruising to Alaska with Celebrity. We usually do late dining on Disney but how does this anytime dining work on Celebrity?
Alaska didn’t have warmer day never. Still cold. Alaska didn’t have pool and beach than other states.
