What Would You Do? (WWYD) is a hidden camera show, hosted by ABC News correspondent John Quinones, in which unknowing bystanders are placed in uncomfortable, and often compromising real world scenarios in public. WWYD’s hidden cameras focus on the average person’s responses and reactions to these issues of social responsibility. Topics such as gay couples being affectionate in public, date rape, racism and racial profiling, interracial couples, abusive parents, drunk driving, and harassment of the homeless are touched upon in this series. What will you do? Would you choose to intervene in these situations? Watch and join the discussion.

For real. To put things into perspective, when Nazis and the KKK took to the streets chanting Nazi slogans in opposition of White supremacist statues being removed and committed an act of terrorism, Trump showed sympathy for their cause and labeled those who marched alongside them "very fine people". But when Black NFL players peacefully demonstrated against police brutality, Trump labeled them SOBs who should be dragged away.

You don’t fight for a piece of fabric, you fight for human beings. Flags don’t bleed, they don’t breathe, they don’t die. You can beat a flag to death and it’ll still fly in the wind. You beat a person, they won’t get back up. When you’re over in the throes of war, it’s not a flag that has your back, it’s a living, breathing human being that makes a promise to never leave you behind. The fact that people place so much reverence for a piece of fabric above another person. It’s ridiculous. The flag means absolutely nothing without the people that stand behind it, it should be behind the people standing up in front of it not the other way around.

Old Glory can be protested for the very reasons Old Glory exists and nothing more. You cannot separate a protest of the Flag from the military simply because you want to. Taking a knee symbolizes explicit intentions and that your part of an opressed group.A citizen of a democracy also doesn't bow to anyone because everyone chooses our president, supreme court judges, and our house of senators and our house of repreprensives. You do realize that over 99% of blacks that are shot are killed by other black non cops? So, what are they really protesting? Honestly, most people don't give a shit about kneeling to the flag. Most people are just sick and tired of the whining by african americans trying to play the victim game. Nobody knows or gives a shit what they're protesting because its lost all its meaning.

The issue here is that the people who walk away are no longer there. They've removed themselves from the area. The players are there. Not only are they there, they're out on the field, in view of literally everyone in the stadium. They're seen by everyone in the stands, on the field with them, in the lens of any potential cameras as a lot of cities broadcast their school sports teams on local news and public broadcast stations, and they're even seen by those people walking away to get nachos. Everyone can see them. They came to watch them perform feats of athleticism, and during this one moment of solidarity, they are the second most visible thing in the area. If someone walks away from their seat to get food in a crowd of in excess of 20,000 people, so few are going to notice, especially if they're sitting in front of the person leaving. But when you're out there, in a uniform, on the field, and the only thing getting more attention than you is a flag, or the source of the music, and you break etiquette for something so wildly unrelated to what you're supposed to be doing, you open yourself to this sort of reaction. Apart from the flag or music- never both, always one or the other- you are the center of attention. When you're on the field, wearing your uniform, you are being watched by everyone, and are held to a standard that no one in the stands will ever be held to. You have expectations to live up to, so when you violate that etiquette, and then make up some bullshit excuse like 'I'm protesting police brutality', first of all, no, you're not, and second, you're an attention-seeking little shit that needs a stern ass-whooping. The Star Spangled Banner has nothing to do with the police, or the military, or the struggle against racism. It's a declaration of how great this country is, and what a symbol the US flag is; a symbol for hope, prosperity, and perseverance against all odds. It's a uniting force that brings people together, and the only people who are trying to divide us are also the only ones who hate the US flag. When the anthem plays, you stand, turn toward the nearest US flag- in the event there is no visible flag, you instead turn toward the sound of the music- and you place your hand over your heart until the song ends. If a man is wearing a hat, they should- but aren't necessarily required- to remove it.
      This is called etiquette.

I don't even watch football but the men who kneel inspire me. It seems like a small thing but so many people see it and maybe they'll open their eyes to the racism in America if they see famous athletes doing it. keep at it, don't stand, make a difference.

There is hardly to no racism in America. The blacks are trying to fight for more rights than whites so actually blacks are being racist. You are disrespecting the soldiers and people who fought and died so that blacks could be free. So don’t say it’s for racism because your disrespecting the people who died for blacks and the people who made American free.

@@addisoncross2017 that’s exactly it. They fought for freedom and rights. Yet anyone who isn’t a“normal” white person, will lose privileges that white people would have. I don’t see anything wrong with kneeing for the flag . Why? Bc discrimination is still around. A black person cant go in a store, without being suspected as a thief. If a black person gets pulled over let’s say for a speeding ticket. They won’t get the same privilege as a white person. Etc and etc. what do you think about the people who fought and died for those freedom and rights? Just for ignorant people like you, to just say what’s going on today is fine. No, people like you are disrespecting their bravely and actions. Not the people kneeing because the people kneeing deserve the same privileges and rights as anyone else. Those solidors fought for freedom. So everyone deserves that same freedom. Good day to you

@@addisoncross2017 this country is honestly a horrible country. This is probably the most racist country out here on Earth. like a person should be able to go outside without being scared of being shot by a officer. Hey even I’m scared of the police. Why? Bc some are brain washed with power and some are racist. So with those combine they are monsters. If a white person got caught speeding. They would just be given a ticket. If a black person is caught speeding. They have the chance of being searched illegally. Like you can’t enter a person’s property such as a car without their permission, warrant or for a valid reason. And usually racist cops never have any of these. Not even a valid reason. So a black person can be suspected of having drugs or guns in the car for denying their search. But if a white person says no, they’ll be good with it.
