  • The whole treasure hunting business was shocked when the Oak Island treasure was found.
Fans are rooting for the team to find the last clues to a huge prize because they think they are close to making a big find. On Oak Island, though, most days they only find old, broken wooden buildings and not cash. They found old wooden beams and rusty iron bits from the 1600s not long ago in the Money Pit and the nearby Garden Shaft. Could these be the clues that lead to the island's secret stories about the first people who came there? Let's look at how these finds could change the show about finding wealth.
Rick Lagina, who was always positive, thought these nails were very important. He thought that studying these small pieces could tell us a lot about how the island was used in the past and about the people who lived there. People think that these small artifacts could help them figure out Oak Island's complicated past. Oak Island is said to have been a hiding place for everything from pirate treasure to holy relics.
A idea from Dr. Doug Simmons added to the plot. He said that the Knights Templar and the Vikings were connected. Both of these groups are known for having secretive and treasure-filled histories. He said that the stone buildings on Lot 15 were from the 1300s and were made by the Templars. Dr. Simmons made links to L'Anse aux Meadows, a known Viking site in Newfoundland. He suggested that the Templars may have been looking for holy things on Oak Island, similar to what they did during the Crusades.

Not for nothing. There have been so many people trying to get to the prize. Then comes rush off water. Why isn't anyone looking for the flood tunnels?
