Just like Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis has the ability, and reputation to acquire only the best musicians in their respective fields. I first heard Mr Marsalis play at the Vancouver Dumaurier Jazz Festival in 1982 or 83. The actual year is insignificant. His reputation had already preceded him and I had been eagerly awaiting the unique opportunity of hear Wynton Marsalis and Miles Davis preform at the same weekend. Still one of the greatest weekends of jazz I have yet experienced.
