    I am not a beginner but I've always found that this knot can be difficult to see/learn in many videos because the instructor's fingers obscures the process and you have found an excellent way around that problem. Thank you and a big thumbs up on the video. I look forward to studying with you more.

      You are so right! I have my two favorite guys tying it all together and bored paracord and don't get me wrong they are good as well but like you said their hands were always in the way.

    You have thus far been the easiest tutor on this seemingly hard knot. I was just about to give up on this one. funny thing is, when I do this after braiding a four strand leather round braid, I can do this knot with no problem.     I do this to challenge my total lack of spatial relations...and even this knot is pretty hard compared to some of the more decorate knots like the scoobie, mandala, etc. Your video solved what 6 paracord books and several youtube videos couldn't help me with. THANKS!!!

    I don't know how I stumbled across this video (the wonders of CZcams haha). But this is a perfect example of how a tutorial should be. Extremely well done. Good quality, angle, lighting, easy to understand with no excess background noise. Highlighting the important stuff where something could go wrong. I had no intention of learning about this, but you, sir, .make an excellent tutorial.

    I'm a beginner, just starting the hobby. For some reason, I decided to use a length of narrow bungee cord for this. Well, there's a reason, I use a bungee cord for lanyards on my EDC flashlights. However, tying a two-strand diamond knot with bungee ... was not without some frustration and hand cramps.

    Just wanted to give a bungee cord project a better finish than the average knot. First try success from an average knot user. Much appreciation for the excellent walk through. I worked it down to near completion before daring to tighten for permanence

    Thank you for posting this tutorial. I tried doing this knot with some twine and it didn't work out so well because the twine wouldn't hold its shape well. But I finally got some paracord and just made a nice little lanyard for holding some keys.

    Such an excellent explanation & demonstration! I watched another video by a guy I can usually follow, but anchoring the cords through my fingers & using my palm as a background helped me see the steps & was so much easier than trying to tie the knot "in the air"! Thanks for sharing such a great technique. :)

    It took me a couple of tries, but I ended up getting it. The "Go past that" part confused me because you used it twice and I wasn't sure what you were referring to. The second time around I just noticed that I needed to thread it through a different spot and suddenly it worked out! Yay!

    Had a hard time chasing it down to look good. gonna shorten my working ends and try it again. I may end up doing two celtic buttons instead. Great video and instructions, perhaps it would help people to use two different colored strands to make it easier to see which leads where :)
