How to calibrate wacaco exagram scale
After having the Timemore Black Mirror Nano for nearly a year, I cannot recommend it. 50% of the time, the scale glitches out and starts to drift, which should be a dealbreaker out of the gate. But to make matters worse, the controls are very unergonomic since the capacitive buttons are on the side. That means any time you pick it up, you're prone to hit a button by accident. And the lack of waterproofing means you have to baby it, which is not something you want to worry about with a $90 scale. Really its only redeeming qualities are its looks and responsiveness, but it feels like Timemore really needs to hone in on the fundamentals.
with the normal one, mine also drifts up to like 0.3 grams. sometimes, i also need to push the button 2 or 3 times before it responds (even though it beeps every time)
@@mikepanton When I got my Tally Pro by Fellow, the displayed weight was drifting, dropping .1 gram every 4 - 6 seconds. At first I was pissed after spending so much money. But then I noticed it only happened when I poured hot water into my Clever and realized the drop in weight was from evaporation. LOL
@@LorenzoNW makes since. unfortunately my timemore drifts up 0.1-0.3 g while weighing beans
@@mikepanton 0.3 grams is less than one bean so that's no big deal, as long as it doesn't get progressively worse. But if it's still under warranty, I'd ask for a replacement. I think I paid around $120 for the Tally Pro during Whole Latte Love's Cyber Monday sale. After reading a lot of customer reviews on Amazon for less expensive scales, I decided to bite the bullet and spend a bit extra on something that will hopefully be problem-free for the next few years.
Do any of these have a timer which counts down as opposed to up? And when it runs out, it beeps?
@@primacoffeeequipment wha?! Really? 😅 Can you set an amount of seconds until beep on them? Like an upper limit? When using a french press I want to let it sit for x minutes and tell me when time is up. Any of them do this?
@@exact-estimate Nope, not that i'm aware of. You'd just have to use your phone.
Can we all find and put a stop to the person who started to put touch buttons on scales
The nano I got, dd not have a 2000 g cap. Very disappointed, It would spit out an error anytime I put on a heavier cup.
