    What a nice first pass. I have such a love/hate relationship with Dysons. Super impressed with the hardwood.

      This does an amazing job on bare floors for an upright. It can push around really large stuff, but you can just suck that up with the wand first.

    Just watched your video cause I was freaking out thinking there was supposed to be a rubber stopper or something in that big hole near the handle when you take the dust bin off. I thought I might've knocked something off in the garbage trying to get everything loose shaking it in the trash. Thanks for settling my anxiety. lol

    Just to let you know that Dyson did not invent the trap door emptying. Here in the UK there was an upright vacuum that was available in the 90s that was the first to have hygienic emptying. Possibly was around 1997.

    I just absolutely love the color scheme.
    I don't understand why they changed tool connections in UK on newer models as well as tool setup. This works much better and use can use your old tools. The upholstery tool might be better but doesn't pick up pet hair from anything really.
    Yeah! Those separate tools were much better cause you could change angles and vacuum under furniture etc.

    • @VacTech1

      I think it's a sharp-looking product. The old tools were better, but the stair tool on this one works better than expected.

    issue with too much suction on carpet or low plate - I wonder if a couple of the large 1 or 2 inch metal paper clips with the 2 arms would hold the plate off the floor against the body of the head, at the highest position.

    I bought a Dyson Multifloor 2 several months ago (my first Dyson lasted 19 yrs!!!) and have been putting up with this problem ever since. Please... what's the secret to getting it back into the upright position once I'm done vacuuming? I push so hard I'm afraid I'm going to break the darned thing. I'm a senior citizen and am beginning to think maybe that's the problem. :-) Thanks!!!!

    Just took my piece of junk today AGAIN to get it fixed. I got one in 2018 and have nothing
    but problems with it. The warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. When I got
    to the vacuum repair place, they man told me they had another one there and also
    agreed with me that they have a lot of problems with the Dysons. Be smart and don't waste
    your money on one. I had to learn the hard way. Have a V7 Motorhead also, which didn't
    work brand new right out of the box. Stay away from Dyson.

    how do you switch the suction to be on the bottom part instead of the hose and how do you unlock it to push it around?

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 2 lety

      You just pull the handle back to unlock it, and the suction switches to the floor when the handle is lowered.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 3 lety

      Have you cleaned the brushroll and cleaner head out? If they build up with hair and crud, that could make it harder to push. Also are the brushroll bristles worn down? That will also make it harder to push. Sorry for the very late reply, just saw this! Hope you were able to remedy yours!

    I just bought this today. The brushes spin when I turn it on and after a few seconds they stop. Really hard to vacuum my rug.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety +1

      Hmm. I'd contact dyson. Sadly these newer ball models like to cling/seal down to certain types of carpeting. This might not be the vac for your rugs.

  • @mycaminspo
    @mycaminspo Před 4 měsíci

    How do you make it not hard when vacuuming rugs it is a workout 😩

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 měsíci

      As long as the brushroll is spinning, it depends on the type of rug. On some rugs it’s very easy to push and glides around. On others it will glue down to them and is very difficult to push. Sadly just how it’s designed.

    Hello please answer - HELP - how is the suction at the wand on this unit? i tried a hoover 12a motor but the hose has a fraction of the suction power (i guess because the bottom does not turn off when the hose is in use??). also can the wand accept standard VAC brushes? This also seems fragile hard clear plastic, my 8 yr old hoover has a solid metal wand that weighs a ton, and the canister, no worry about dropping anything on the floor. These dyson's look pretty but how durable is hard acrylic? my house is 2 fl + basement 95% hardwood. Tried a hoover whole home pet 12amps, which seems ok except the cord is at ankle level so a total TRIPPING hazard, multiple height adjustment on the head is good, but wand suction seems poor. Does the wand use all the suction when used on the DYSON?

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety

      The suction at the end of the wand and/or hose is incredible. Among the very best regular uprights. Dyson's take special proprietary attachments, so you would need an adapter to use standard vac brushes.

    • @soneeeee4440
      @soneeeee4440 Před 4 lety

      @@VacTech1 thx, does such an adapter exist? so you would hands down recommend the dyson over the hoover for hardwood? I got the hoover "on sale" for about 130, and the dyson i can get from their outlet refurb with 2 yr warranty for 40 more. Is the Dyson just as durable as the Hoover, afraid dropping canister or brush thing would crack?

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 4 lety

      @@soneeeee4440 well not all Hoovers are made equal, but I don't think there's any that clean hard floors as well as this dyson. You can buy adapters online, just check the diameter of the tools you're planning to use. Thanks!

    Doesn't stay upright well when using hose.

    • @VacTech1
      @VacTech1  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I'd prefer if the newer ball models were more stable in tool mode, like the older dyson uprights. What you will find, with most vacs where the hose attaches at the top, instead of the bottom, they're way worse. Definitely a pet peeve of mine when it comes to uprights, as I want useful on-board tools.

      @VacTech1  Před 3 lety

      @@allanknight843 That's a shame. It's easy to push on the carpeting I have in my home. I've found out using it on other certain types of carpeting though, that it likes to seal down to them. I personally wish that Dyson would address the issue.

    *Overall 5 stars as it's exactly what we wanted,🧼 **allabout.wiki/Dyson-Upright** in terms of cleaning power. Suction is as good as all the reviews state. When we first got it, I first vacuumed with the existing vacuum and then with this, the additional fine dirt that was in the Dyson was gross and convinced me we needed this. We have medium length carpet and a terrier - no issues, I do imagine plush carpets would not work well with this. Also a little too powerful for most bathroom rugs. Great for area **rugs.One** con is the hose, it's great for reaching far away places (ceiling), but is frustrating and hard to use if you're within arm's distance (think couch and floorboards). This is due to the design of the hose having this long metal rod for extension. Also, I haven't figured out how to get the hose back together quickly as it's supposed to nest into the base of the vacuum. This piece might just be user error though.Canister is just like all others, still have to take out the middle insert to get all the dirt out. I often make a mess around the trash as I'm trying to empty it, but the suction picks that right back up.*
