@@Snowboardtrainers you filmed with mono audio , when u try to watch this with headphones you only get audio in one headphone , that being the right , one , it's really annoying and bad...

Half the time I only rock the right earbud anyway, so no harm done. Keep up the great content and looking forward to seeing the channel grow!

Don't worry about where you are with the videos. Everyone starts somewhere. Just keep doing. Most of the channels I follow do their own videos sometimes still. Keep the content good and build from there.

Thanks for making this video. Trying to train others on toe edge is harder than it sounds.

Love your content! I also follow you in IG. You and Malcolm Moore are my favorite teachers. Simple, clear instructions. Your lessons are very helpful for my wife and myself in our first season at 38yo. 😇

Very helpful vid, thank you! Appreciate the simplicity…one suggestion…try to hold the camera facing up the hill the whole time and just switch hands so perspective stays the same…easier to understand what you’re doing with your edge changes that way🙂 Subscribed and will be back for more content!👍👏😊

Just wanted to say as a thankyou for sharing your skills, great help for me re-learning to ride.... Small tip, you need to lift the shadows up a little on the video. Maybe some exposure left as well, the snow will tell you if you can get away with that. (yup Im an editor/videographer).

Serious question 🙋🏼‍♀️ I started snowboarding 1 year ago. I can now do both heel & toe. My toe is definitely weaker. I ride Goofy. What I’ve noticed is that my back leg (left)…mainly my quad, is SO sore and tired after a few runs. Any thoughts on why? I do ride goody & consciously put more weight on my front (right) leg. Could it be my stance needs adjusting?

    • @sindreha
      @sindreha Před 7 měsíci +2

you are probably just sore because your leg isnt used to being active in that way

I think that’s pretty common. Didn’t notice it as much in my 20s but definitely noticing it in my 40s. Recommendation I’ve heard is to focus on squats, lunges and reverse lunges to build up those muscles for your next shred session.

I'm closer to 70 than 60. I really notice it on my first run if I haven't stretched beforehand. Make a concious effort to stretch your calf, Achilles and quads. Before and after the first run. Makes a difference. I've been snowboarding for 10yrs off and on coming from a tropical area so love tutorials such as this to cement it in before going back to the snow.

It is best not to stretch cold muscles. Best thing would be a quick light jog (break a slight sweat) before stretching. My quads are sensitive to the cold so they cramp up easily like on a downhill run sub 50F

It depends, without seeing you ride it’s hard to tell. I recommend stretching before we ride, strength training year around, and pacing ourselves when we ride on the mountain.

Great video! Just subscribed bc I’m learning this season 😊
Quick question… what advice can you give for the fact that when I try to ride on the toe edge and I’m struggling to balance. I’m either falling onto my knees or I’m not getting onto my edge enough and getting close to catching the heel edge unexpectedly.
My instructor had me look back at my path in the snow, and if I could leave a carved in line that was great but often I’d leave a flattened wider path which suggested I wasn’t on the toe enough.
    Does that make sense?

Thank you for your support and often, it just takes practice.
I recommend getting on the hill and just practicing toe edge (a bunch).
      Cheers friend!
