Poor guy deserves to have his name either in the title or the thumbnail.
Alex Sinclair is also primarily known for his works for DC, being Jim Lee's resident colorist for decades now. But I suppose the channel thinks "Marvel" gets more clicks than "DC".
I agree. It's a shame artists don't get the recognition that they deserve. That's why I'm grateful for channels like this to showcase them
Alex Sinclair is without doubt the best digital colourist in DC. He completes Jim Lee's art like no one else does.
I dunno, Brad Anderson is my top pick. When he and Jason Fabok touch the mic they always slay
Over rendering also has a tendency to make things look muddy. Part of the wonderfulness of comics is their vibrancy. Great interview, thanks so much!
I legit could listen to Alex and watch him colour ALL DAY. He is such an inspiration. Thanks Proko, thank you Alex
Alex is legit one of the nicest people i have ever met. extremely hospitible to people and very humble.
That trick with the grays is so simple how did I not think of that.
So nice to see people being ( behaving) civil.
This was absolutely cleaaaaan and neatttt!
Alex makes the coloring seems so easy.
Thank you Alex Sinclair
Omg he has the holy grail of artists
You gotta put his name (Alex Sinclair) in the title. Tf proko!! He's a legend. Jim Lee's colorist for years at dc comics.
Probably wouldn't be there idea of a good idea to promote to learn from anyone but from themselves. Used his talent doe.
Bro the markers theory just sold me! I've always said what a waste it is, like just with Microns when they dry out, and how many artists with money just buy them by the ton. But think of how much plastic youre putting in the earth for just 1 ml of ink. Thanks for sharing this and to Alex.
I love Alex, fantastic colorist
Nice work Alex.
Sinclair is such a legend!! Wish I could afford that case of copics 🤩
They're pricey, for sure! But a good Copic will do a lot more for you than some of the cheaper brands. Some others have the pigment in the nib so you can't just refill the bodies and end up paying more for replacements, in the long run.
@@ProkoTV yeah for sure. They mix a lot better than the cheaper brands to from the looks of it.
This is the type of guy I love and hate in the best way. I love his colours etc but hate how quickly he can just a piece in 15 minutes
great colors :)
got some power ump! cool
wow so amazing i wanna do like this🙃
Where’d you get the Copic set with the briefcase
Thank you😁😁🌌🌌
-I love how the red and blue sections aren't necessarily defined in the outfit ..I would've made the blue end here and red begin there and it wouldve looked totally forced and unnatural..that was really helpful to see how you just let the two flow into one another..gdjob-
Legend
Watching a pro put down color on an original piece.
Still watching nervously 😅
He's asmr without even trying
This is amazing! BTW, where can I find a Copic Carrying Case like that? I just want the case, since I’m up to 240 Copic Sketch Markers for my collection.
Woukd like to see them use highlighters like stabillo.
Nice.
wow nice :)
I have half of that marker case
A maleta de milhões

❤❤❤
Is it applicable to digital as well?
There is a technique for coloring that uses greyscale layer for rendering which is used to influence the value of the color layers above.
We have a digital demo with him in the works! Should be coming out in the near future.
@@d3v1lsummoner but that makes your color bland, and you don't think about light temperature
@@trufflefluffle4293 I just answered the question. And in no detail. Is the technique applicable. Yes. Do you need to do more than that? Probably. I'm saying no more than that.
More video on comic artist ❤️
@@ProkoTV Asking Pros and Comic Art/Artist Videos Are my favourite part from your channel.❤️
I’ve always wanted to be a color artist, so can you tell me how I can learn to cry like that from too late or too old?
How to revive dried nibs
oho, new vid
Tuco?
Nobody noticed that their bracelet has a Batman logo.
"Kinn'a, here.. kinn'a there; kinn'a see?..kinn'a everywhere .
I don’t think I can touch a commissioned artwork with color. I would just take the “cheater” way by scanning it and coloring it with digital colors. You would need to be determined to use real color markers on this artwork, especially if you don’t have that huge marker case that he does.
Superman and thor drinking coffee while talking about lord of the rings.
Put his name in the title
Comic Colourists don't get enough Praise ones that do it Amazing colourists that do bad jobs shouldn't be there Comics📙done right✅ have been Spawn The Incal New Gods Mister Miracle Akira etc
Is that the original he's coloring??? If so my anxiety can't handle...
It is! He mentions at one point that the inks Ryan used are getting activated by his markers. I'd be scared too. but the man's a pro!
Alex is famous for his collaborations with Jim Lee and Ivan Reis on DC books. So, why is marvel in the title?
Exactly my thoughts, as I replied on another comment. Maybe the channel thinks putting "Marvel" would get more clicks.
Paper art is Superior
kristian looks like he is tired
Haha, I was. Wondercon we recorded a bunch of these, and this was later in the day I believe
i can buy a computer with the amount of money you put on those markers. xd
He kinda looks like brad pitt with dat cap.

Too bad it’s token non-Spidey Moralez. Otherwise good vid.
@@trayjohnson7065 Nah, as I like Spider-Man and I find the token to be a damn disgrace.
@@trayjohnson7065 In fact, the stupidest thing I have seen in quite a while was the insulting mess that was called Into the Spider-Verse. Utter trash, that spat in the face of Spider-Man and Steve Ditko, as are people defending it. ”Lol”
I need that case!!! Anyone know it?
