- This is my first step in the digital world of model trains, DCC.
In my humble opinion, it has a lot of advantages and some drawbacks. You gain separate control for each train on the same route but at the cost of time-consuming selecting-the-train-to-control. Of course, this is the weak point of my controller, I'm not pointing at advanced ones - pretty expensive or even multiple controllers, which will do the trick.
Also, DCC locos are available with sounds, a pretty neat feature for most of us. That will be at double the price though...

What is the width and height of the passenger coach?
I really cannot do this test as I don't have 10 similar passengers' cars nor freight... But from my limited experience, it can haul. I tried with 8 various freight cars and it was a breeze

Will that dcc smartbox and controller work on 1 87 tracks?
Do you mean if the DCC (Digital Command Control) system will work on analog tracks? Yes, will do. I used recently some old Lima and Mehano tracks for building a loop track, with Piko SmartLight digital controller and it works perfectly fine

No, it doesn't have sound, but you can add a DSS decoder with sound. The price is 150 euro per locomotive, which is a lot of money and for me, it doesn't worth

Can we control a bachmann engine on Piko track?
Yes, you can. Bachmann have the gauge OO which is the same as HO (16,5 mm) only the name is different... Both ”OO” and ”HO” are DC/DCC 2 wires (negative and positive)

I hate that style of package where the track is inbedded in bottom of foam because it make s it hard to put train back in box.

Depends on where you live. I bought it from a specialized on-line shop in Germany, Moddelbahn-lippe. But you can try on Amazon, this starter-set is avaible from Amazon at 270-290 euros

I bought a piko train there is no controller
Recién ..29 de Abril...se presionó tecla y mensaje se fue. Por error. La publicación es excelente y mi material es Piko. Pero la aplicación CZcams..no genera subtítulos en otro idioma. En especial en este video. Por lo tanto la denuncia no va a la Persona duela del vídeo. Me disculpo.
