  • The Deputy One is a pre-programmed midi controller that recalls up to 6 presets, lets you have tap tempo, Flux, AND tuner access immediately without tap dancing and waiting for button controls to cooperate.
    With the included power jack distribution, you can retain one power source (300mA 9v minimum).

    Am I crazy or are all of the footswitches misaligned?

      The 3rd switch is drilled high, but I kept this one for myself for that reason

      Yes, if you’d like to change the double press features to more presets I can do that!

    Really helpful video thanks! Do you know if it’s possible to switch prev/next preset via MIDI as with the foot switch (TRS)? Couldn’t find that function in the manual. Cause I don’t want separate footswitches via TRS AND a MIDI-controller.

      At the moment no, which is crazy to me…I hope they change that soon in a software update! For now you can do that with the FS3/4 on the HX One but that’s it :/

    Is there an audio drop out when changing between FX?

    • @prestonpedals

      Unfortunately the is, but it is very short, shorter than the HX Stomp. Like, a blinks worth of drop out signal

    Excuse my ignorance only just bought mine.. so using this set up is it possible to go straight from say preset 1 to preset 4?
    I'm not keen on hitting the switch 4 times or using the 'load' mode

    • @prestonpedals
      @prestonpedals  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the comment! That’s exactly it, with this, you can recall presets 1-4 on the fly in any order you need, so no more tap dancing and going through each one to get to the 4th!

      @prestonpedals  Před 4 měsíci +1

      At this time (and presumably forever) just one effect. Their whole marketing was one effect, hence HX “One”, but I am hoping they will come to their senses and do at least amps and if beggars are choosers, stereo cabs!

    Will the hx one work with other deputy switch pedals? Or only with this specific one?

    • @prestonpedals
      @prestonpedals  Před 2 měsíci +1

      The HX One is different than all the other HX units for midi functions. For instance, the HX One doesn’t have snapshots, just the Flux option on the preset, so this specific Deputy is the best option for the HX One!

      That's a limitation of the HX One. It has nothing to do with MIDI switching.

    Does anyone know how to save preset with the effect turned off?? Every time I change a preset the effect is always already on, and I can’t find any setting where allows me to do otherwise. WHY lol
    What if I wanna change a sound mid song while playing and load a big delay for the outro but not have it on already until I actually press on
    Also it’s wild if it can’t do that cuz the former M5 can. Like bro

    • @prestonpedals
      @prestonpedals  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Great question! It seems like they assume if you are changing the preset that you WANT it on, but you bring up a great point for your need.
      Until they include that in a software update, the one work around you could do is have that patch load as a 0% mix, then have your Flux function ramp up or immediately go to the desired mix level so that it is essentially “off” at 0%, then when you want it engaged you Flux it to your desired mix ratio. A wast of the Flex for that effect, but gets the job done!

      @@prestonpedals That’s actually crazy to me that they didn’t include a function the super old M5 unit had already. But thanks for the work around suggestion, that’s a good idea. I hope they come up with a software update soon with that kind of capability. Great video btw

      @@prestonpedals yeah, has to do something with the voltage. Since if it doesn't have enough power it doesn't go to cycle power up. I own two hx one and updated one normally, the second one had problems until I connected it to the USB port near power jack. Later on read on their website why.

    An Hx Stomp solves all the problems, it takes up the same space on a pedalboard and gives you much much much much more options with less cables!!

      The Stomp has a lot more functions, but this is a great solution if one has the HX One and not the Stomp. Thanks for the comment!
