Welcome in France! I've lived my childhood near Nantes (a bit more at the south, in a city called "La Roche-sur-Yon"), so I know well this place! Now I live near Bordeaux. I hope you will enjoy your stay 😊
And... what you've been through in unfortunately very common in France 😭 Escalators that don't work are a mystery but it's like always the case. Even for a French, going through Montparnasse is difficult because it's so big (I've done it a couple of time, I had to walk so much 😭), but it's also a beautiful station!
In fact, because it's always a bit messy in public transports, French people are mostly kind to each other and they will often offer their help to carry your luggage for you. It happened to me a lot of times too, and it's very pleasant!
So yeah, France is very a disorganized country compared to Japan, a lot of things are VERY different, but I hope you will like your stay in my country anyway! Have a good day 🥰

@@Yuna77_ Hello! I lived near Paris for the first 5 years of my life with my parents. Then they decided to move because family life was too hard there.
I'd say it depends on your situation! For example, if you're young and have no children, then living in or near Paris can be a great advantage, because you're close to lots of interesting and touristy places, and there are lots of varied job opportunities. On the other hand, life there is (really) more expensive, noisy, dense and polluted.
France is not just Paris, but many other medium-sized cities and remote rural areas where life is good!
I live near Bordeaux as a student, and if you want to live in/near a big city but not necessarily in Paris, and near the sea and fabulous tourist spots, then I would recommend this city! Plus, the Japanese community here is probally the second bigger behind Paris.

@@unravelyx2998 Thank u for your answer. As u said Paris sure can be a fun place to live esp for young people since its the biggest city in France but yeah i guess it comes with higher costs as well. I experienced Paris a really expensive city when i traveled there, but cant tell maybe it was cuz i was only hanging out in high-end shopping areas haha. Bordeaux sounds like a nice place to live:)) i would consider living there for sure

You will find that things work less efficiently and more approximately in France than in Japan. Nantes is a nice city but the weather is not the best being in the west with the ocean effect. Good luck!

Public transportations and people are not punctual in France.
この議題は偶然です！来月に僕はやっと日本に行きますが、韓国で２時間４０分乗り継ぎあります。ただし、空港搭乗ゲートが閉まるのは1時間前なので、実際には1時間40分しかありません。間に合うかわからないのでちょっと緊張します笑 はるか先生は電車に乗るまで3時間あったのに、まだ乗り遅れたので僕はもっと緊張してしまいました笑笑
