Love how relaxing and enjoyable your videos are. Keep them up!
Coastal foreging that’s the norm for people like me back in the islands, love it
As a chef, this video is really getting me going. I cant wait to spend a day at the beach and do this. I'd be in heaven. I know where Im going to vacation next year. My goodness, that risotto looks absolutely incredible!
This reminds me a lot of when I was a kid and my grandma and I used to go to the tide pools. We used to forage opihi and pipipi and such and she would cook them up. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
And YES, please make more videos like this!!
I love them, reminds me of my childhood in Juneau, AK foraging for mussels, clams and herring roe👍
Found your channel today and binge watched all your vids! Awesome stuff. I didn't grow up eating seafood, no one in my family liked it, so I'm slowly trying more and more seafood now and liking it. People like you make me really want to go out and try more!
Looking through rock pools were the best moments in my childhood, so watching these videos makes me happy.
I purchased Kirk Lombards guide yesterday and have happily stumbled onto and subscribed to your channel today. 👍
Sustainable, sustainable, he always says sustainable and I bow to that. Once ethnic's pov is totally different from another's. Love your video! 🙏
bought the book...highly recommend it...great graphics and information...
I love that you said you can easily hit the limit but just take what you need. ❤️
Loved it, please keep making these. Reminded me of the time I went to Pescadero on a road trip from Vancouver and bought Artichoke bread (2017) and when I cooked up seafood on the rocks by a river in Nova Scotia, years ago. I started singing "Memories" when you bought out the artichoke bread. ;} :}
Knife is life! I sub'ed to you bc you have the most realest and chill vibes of all youtubers
And you use firebox stoves!!! Hell yeah!! This is becoming my new favorite channel
Yayayaya!!! So excited!!! Posting before watching, but I know it's gonna be awesome! So excited to see your posts!! Keep making videos!!

I have just come across your videos and really enjoyed watching them, foraging is something that I am really interested in learning so the more videos the better.Keep up the good work.
Love how simple you make it.....well done and yes do more like this
Very informative, I used to do this as a kid but after seeing your video, I'm off to give it a go and post the results myself. Thanks.
Everytime i watch video like this,i love not miss d days in my hometown
A limpet, a length of string, and a safety pin put together are great for catching crabs with. Tie the pin to an end of the string and scoop out the meat of the limpet. Push the pin through the meat and close the pin. Lower the meat over the edge of an overhang of rock or a dock/jetty and wait. Crab will grab hold, and you can gently pull it up.
love your approach to sustainable foraging, keep it up !
Bro you rock! Enjoying these videos of yours. Keep it coming man.
This was a year ago! Omg I love this. I hope you keep doing videos like this or have. Foraging and cooking on the beach. Excellent.

Dude you are making me so hungry! Keep doing foraging guides man!
Knife is life
Coastal foraging is going to be my first attempt. This video is super informative and I can’t wait to get out and give it a try... but CA needs to lift the COVID quarantine before I can get out to the coast! Gonna order that coastal foraging book while I’m stuck at home binging your vids.
Limpid risotto sounds so bomb right now too. I’m starving lol
Definitely love these videos, I'm buying a Firebox cool 👍cant wait to make my meals on the beach! And sip my hot morning coffee!
Please make more of these videos. I appreciate you for doing it
Proper chef technique. Well done.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Another great vid with terrific info. Please make more videos like this, I love the how to's.
What is the difference between a Periwinkle and Turbin snail?
Wow! Tiny tides you have. our tides rise over 40ft on a big tide. Very important to check the tide before you go out foraging where I live! Thanks for
Posting.
Great video. I appreciate the how-to's. Keep them coming.
Nice, I've never added other stuff to them before but makes total sense!
What a great video. Takus the man! 🤙
"knife is life" Great informative videos, great content keep up the good work
Wonderful informative tutorial! I would love too see more videos of this nature. I live in Sebastopol--literally 20 mins away from Bodega. I love fresh sushi and seafood. So videos like this are very useful and appreciated. Thank you so much for sharing: Sea Forager's Guide. It is a valuable source of reference for a sea foraging beginner like me.
The quality of this video is excellent.
This is awesome!
The best catch and cook I’ve seen, love it!!
Thanks Jun!
I like all out door cooking vids but the foreging ones my favs so heck ya keep up the vids
Thanks fir this! I hope to see more like this!
This is my favorite video on your channel so far, but I'm new here. A book I'd recommend is kinda old school and not West Coast centered but Euell Gibbons' book, Stalking the Blue-Eyed Scallop is a porthole into the past. He was environmentalist in the sense he thinks we should eat our environment and do the things to make that sustainable. I'm glad I found your channel. Clam on, dude!
WOW that empty crab skin was amazing! Until you gave it away it looked like a real crab!
Hey thank you for such a great video! That looks delicious and I am glad the Nano works so well for you, I appreciate the shout out!! I will add this video to our CZcams and social media as well. Take care my friend!
Thank you for creating it!! I love the nano but I might need to get the full size one soon to do bigger scale cooking!
You are very welcome! The 5" Firebox is great too, they both come in handy depending on the type of cooking you are doing and where your adventure is. Cheers!
you all prolly dont give a damn but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?
I was dumb lost my account password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Liam Jamison Instablaster ;)
@Nickolas Reece i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Limpets and tegula are two of my favorite underrated shellfish species! I agree that there is nothing wrong with their texture or flavor... they are just tasty!
Super underrated!
I have fallen in love with coastal foraging videos lately, so this absolutely made my friggin day, brohiem! The dish you made looked delicious, as usual!
You and Craig Evans making a vid together would be mind explosive!!!

Love your videos! We're in SF too and we love how specific your tips are. If you don't mind company on one of your trips, let me know haha 😊
Thanks for dropping the knowledge Chef. I always wondered if those Turban snails were safe to eat. I had limpets raw when I was at North Shore. They were somewhat sweet. This video inspired me to definitely try my hand at foraging.
Nice, good luck!
My girlfriend and I love your videos so relaxing and awesome!
Hmmm, foraging and eating videos yum!
very informative I wanna try one of these days. Thank you.
I know I’m super late to this vid but all ur vids are enjoyable XD. Also Cali is in quarntine rn. So when this is over imma try foraging after it’s done. I got that book and it came in today. I’m gonna read it and learn what’s good to forage. Keep up the good work!

"Ahh i killed him, I shanked him." LOL 06:05
Another amazing video! If you ever find yourself a little north (Humboldt county) let me know. I've got some kayaks and some buddies to get you on some fish!
Thanks for making awesome videos 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏!!!
This is very helpful. Thanks!
Loved this video! Please make more videos like this :)
Great videos, love to eat sea food. That limpid is called “opihi “ here in Hawaii. Thanks for sharing.
These type of vids like it love it..
Fantastic video. Very informational. You got a Sub here. I learn a lot from here.
Another awesome video, greetings all the way from south africa
Priya Rajcoomar thank you! South Africa seems like a great place to do some of this too!
Thanks for an educational and creative video. I love to forage myself but only for clams whenever I go to Maine. Originally from England, we loved eating turban snails but referred to them as winkles or periwinkles. You can buy them already cooked in London from a coster monger or person who sells from a cart, by the pint. Best way to extract the the little treasures is by using a pin. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. Makes me hungry!!!
Excellent video! More please!
I am too intimidated to make risotto, lol. Thanks for the video, both of you! I enjoyed spending a little time on the beach with you guys and it looked delish. Here in the northeast, we don't have the nice big turbin snails like you have. Other than conch, our biggest snails are about small marble sized. Too small to think of cooking, but there are plenty of mussels. Keep up the good work chef, all of your videos are great!
Connie Berlanda thank you! risotto isn’t difficult to make. It just takes a little patience. You should try, definitely worth the effort!
OK chef, I WILL make risotto today for sure :) ! Thanks
Awesome vid brother keep it up
awesome videos please keep uploading more
