    One day The stena Explorer to holyhead had to do 40 knots all the way due to extreme rough weather ! it was shocking though to see it do 40knots instead of 25knots !

    i don't know about you but i find the Superfasts quite rocky, the HSS was smooth as anything, very sad to see her go :(

    @KingConorW Před 12 lety +1

    There's something unnerving about the significance of that date, but nevertheless, it is very sad to see the old HSS go. Having been on about forty journeys with the 'Concorde of the Seas', two with the Stena Caledonia and two the the Stena Superfast VII, I must say that this one is by far my favourite.

    They should put stena voyager back on wif the superfasts outta belfast. She should also go to stranraer to save them building a new port. That would be awsome. GET VOYAGER BACK!!!

    stena HSS craft way ahead of thier time like the concorde of the seas and a victim of their own success due to operating costs. Heavy fuel use . but lovely to travel on wish they still around Use to travel a lot on seacats when on service in the english channel but HSS look anthr dimension

    Its going to retire? I sailed on Voyager countless times. It always was my favourite ferry.
    Well.. i think i have a reason to switch over to P&O again....

  • @MrStu2582
    @MrStu2582  Před 12 lety

    @StenaLine2011 Sad to see it go but it has suffered the same fate as CONCORDE. The price of oil means that it is too expensive to operate. Like concorde the voyager coud not go at full speed in belfast lough and loch ryan making it uneconomical.I considered this craft to be the concorde of the sea ways.

    It cost £33,000 pound from belfas and bak and the super fast it the seem speed as navigator took 3rs from belfast to Stranraer and i timed how long it took from Stranraer to cairnryan and took 30 mins and from belfast to cainryan takes 2 half rs so if the superfast was going to Stranraer it would take 3rs so it's no faster
