Hey there Lisette. I could almost feel your disappointment when you couldn't find the proper coupling. It's not a usual big box or hardware store item. I could also feel the anticipation in waiting for the completion & getting running water. Stonework came out really nice. Good to see the "Honey -do list turn into a Honey Done list". lots of projects and looking very good.....side note ive been a well driller for many years you can use a electric jack hammer with a coupler for driving your sections of pipe into the ground it works very well and goes pretty fast......but you must use a cap on each length of pipe to prevent thread damge .......great video lisette bless your heart the world needs more like you....:)

When you mentioned a deck by the front glass doors….thatwould be a great asset to you, and keep much, much dirt out of your house by being able to have the puppy dogs walking on a nice deck instead of straight into the door on the log side…your house is really beautiful! Hello Lisette, congratulations with your finished stone covered wall. I watch your videos regularly and enjoy your grace and works. I rarely give a reaction because I watch it on tv, but now I needed to say something, so switched on the computer.
I have a well made some weeks ago, by the farmer living behind my house. He came with a big John Deere and a huge watertank, at least twice as long as the tractor. Made a slight hole with a pole drill and the started to push down a hollow pipe of about 6 cm diameter and started the pump driven by the tractor engine. In no time a had a kind of dune in my garden, caused by the waterflow into the ground. After having reached about 10 meters deep, they switched it off, put 2 pvc pipes of 5m each upon each other in the hole (the lower with tiny side holes and a net around it against the sand) and now I have a well of 80mm diameter, which works well for my garden. I live in Holland so no rocks of course here, so not really comparable with your situation. Regarding the coupling to your kubicmeter tank, I have also one, the white plastic end before the valve or sometimes after usually has thread, I ordered a fitting coupling via amazon. I fill the tank now and the from my well and let the water then subsequently slowly inundate my greenhouse with grapes.
Regarding your stone wall: for me funny and interesting to see the building culture in the new world: a wooden house covered with stone screwed on. While here a house is build of stone (mostly bricks) and some times covered with wood or at least in the past on the inside covered with wood.

Wells can either be easy or hard and that is why I chose to haul my water from a creek, it is so much easier and no problems. I love you are being able to get some long overdue projects complete! I too am working on getting some things wrapped up before starting something new. We had so much continuous rain up until 3 weeks ago, it was difficult to work in some of the projects.

I've been watching that cabin, and you, for about two years now and all I can say is it's unbeweaveable...you've really made an amazing amount of upgrades on that building. That's a shame the pipe fitting didn't fit the water tank. The siding looks fabulous and it's going to be even better to see that well sending running water into that cabin, it'll be like getting a rock outta yer shoe. Patients is it's own reward and a virtue. I'm excited to seeing that Sand Point Well working and looking forward to the next relaxing video.

I have a few cherry tomatoes that can be picked tomorrow and some larger tomatoes that are still green along with a few small bell peppers that are not ready yet.

I know it's a little off subject. But I can't believe how many flowers and plants are so plentiful there that have long since disappeared here in southern WV. But we've had drastic climate change since my childhood. Heat index here the last few days of 104-106 Fahrenheit! And basically no winters. Total snow accumulation of 4 inches last winter. We used to have snow all winter. I pray your water project is a success Lisette!❤

My well was one of the very first projects I did. I drilled a 6 inch hole that required a 20 foot section of steel liner then I was in to bedrock the initial static level was at 12 feet. We went down to 100 feet and only had a gallon and a half per minute so went way deeper looking for more recharge rate but didn’t find it. But with the deeper we’ll came more storage, a gallon per foot. It has worked pretty well for 44 years. During long droughts with up to 5 people living here the submersible pump got to the point where it couldn’t suck up any more water. But by backing off usage like not washing the cars or watering the gardens as much, skipping a shower here and there it has always recovered. Now there is only me here and I collect rain water for the gardening, flushing, and occasional laundry there is no shortage of water.
One thing you said really hit home. Maybe there with be another partner in the next lifetime.
