I like how they changed the music for the sans fight, because megalovainia isn’t sans’s theme it’s the players. In this, the theme is Nikos now, But with the despair of the choices we forced them to make.

This doesn’t describe sans at all, most of the time sans is described as Apathetic. That’s why we have ‘the song that sometimes plays when you fight sans’ his actual theme. But as for the player, us, what we are doing in the game is gaining *power* and not stoping for anything. We try and try and try, and despite everything we go for the kill every single time. I play Don't Forget connected (A UT/DR Fangame MMO) and you can have Niko be your vessel (after you unlock it) I've played As Niko ever since I got the vessel. the sprite for Niko in the overworld is UT/DR themed which makes them fit in the world
In Undertale, the only thing you can do worse than doing a genocide run is forcing one of the nicest, most innocent children in all of gaming to do it for you.
I think the world machine is the computer before the game closes itself. It would make more sense, since the world machine cares for niko. (Unlike the author iirc). It would make more sense for the voice after the restart to be the author, since they are the only other one that know of the oneshot restriction.
@@terra_creeper I haven't played Oneshot in a while, but aren't the computer entity and the World Machine different characters? What if the World Machine just doesn't know what happened? And it would make sense for the Entity to care about you killing everyone considering you have functionally just destroyed everything
@@fedethegreat88 Me neither, but the wiki lists "The Entity" as an alias of "The World Machine", with "The World Machine" being used in the solstice route. Also, the computer seems to be particularly focused on the player forcing niko to do it, not just the player killing everyone.

Fun fact the person in the intro is in fact not the player but the demon at the end of genocide/the first fallen human. You can see the one stripe on their shirt, like the first fallen human. but not Frisk, they have 2 stripes.

Niko would work well as the protagonist of undertae since one of the morals of the story is that even if they arent real the game has built a connection between yu and the characters, and the game encourages you not to rest and play it again, like flowey says at the end, yourr the only one with the power to take away their happy ending, so just leave and let them live in peace
