It's Brewster's millions the board game!! I love that film
Something about the reversal of actually trying to blow your money really makes me laugh! Just the thought of it is so hilarious! Like, YES! I can have a carriage on retainer and lose money, excellent! :P
This game is a hell of a lot of fun and between this and Shipyard has solidified in my mind that Vladimír Suchý is a designer to keep an eye on.
I really like Shipyard, may have to check these out.
A minor point, but at 5:23, you mention that you select your starting hand before the "flop" of initial cards. The instructions say that from initial hand of 6 cards, each player chooses 2 and discards the others after phase 1 of the first round. (Phase 1 is the "flop.")

In regards to just the base game, how language independent would you say it is? I am trying to find a copy of this in Japan, and the more affordable option is the Japanese edition... but if it is highly language dependant I will keep searching for the English.
***** pretty much completely language independant. all the gameplay is communicated in icons. there are proper names on the cards, but they're not necessary (and from the picture, it's obvious what they are anyway)
Excellent! Thank you so much. After watching the play through I was really wanting to play this. Just not wanting to pay about $300 for the english version... Japanese version it shall be.

Looks like a nifty game. But...when is Roads&Boats getting posted?! ;) As a solitaire Ameritrasher, I'm interested but intimidated by it (and its US prices)

4:44 this is a horrible horrible game that teaches people how to make the wirt decisions and ends up X-1 player having a ruined life and one winner ....aside hilarious its awful.....
This is a great game that teaches the best life decisions ever. I model my life and everything I do after this game.
