- Reximex Mito trigger spring change. 2nd stage release now down to 2 Lb from 5.15 Lb. This should help its accuracy.👍
Apologies for the video quality, this camera focus isn’t over keen on artificial light. - Sport
Ordered a Mito and I am awaiting delivery. Thank you for all your great info posts. I was looking at trigger adjustment and this is a great piece of work to gauge that on.
Heyup chap, handy to know & very in-depth description, ill probably do the same though mines running around 3 lb pull, i also know someone whose put an FX dreamline light compact cylinder with reg & fill on it, pretty awesome to look at, thanks for the review, cheers buddy, Jon 👍 Hawkes Eye TV 👍😁
My trigger was 4lb’s and gritty, when i opened it up i found loads of metal swarf! I swapped the 2 springs for cut down pen springs and now have a trigger pull of 1lb and it now feels beautiful.
Was a very interesting video indeed. I like these type of videos a lot.
And yes. The springs can be very fiddly. The lightest , smallest, and most annoying spring I've ever encountered on any airgun, must probably be tiny one located within the 30rd magazine top of a Sig Sauer P320 airpistol. Could not even feel it's tension. Dropped it from between my fingertips many times..
hey , how are you my friend ?
@@simonnoble7589 Hiya Simon!
I've been all good. Had a very nice weekend with plenty of work in the backgarden with the missus.
How you now been?
Thanks for the video, saved me the hassle of figuring out how to get to the mechanism. I applied another mod which I think is even more beneficial and doesn't require any purchase at all. Imho, the pull at the second stage is way too long, so all I did was add a small "spacer", about 1,5mm thick, between the sear and the hammer release.I used a thin self-adhesive teflon pad, but it could simply be a few layers of tape stacked on top of each other. What it does is "pretense" the sear to where the lightest press on the second stage releases the shot. Works perfectly, I have a hair trigger now and the springs don't feel too stiff because the pull is greatly reduced. You can adjust the length of the pull to your liking by changing the placement and/or the thickness of the spacer. Night and day. Mod is super easy to apply, and you can use basically anything as a spacer as long as it sticks in place, even a few layers of tape stacked on top of each other... Happy shooting!
Do you have a picture of what you did? Sounds pretty easy.
Thank you for a confidence inspiring video! I've just changed my springs and looking forward to trying it out!!
No problem. I’m going to polish up the operating faces next.
Thanks, a very useful video!
Thanks for the video and for the item number for the springs it’s a cracking gun apart from the trigger weigh
I like the all metal construction of this pistoli
Well done mate. 😊
Nice video just bought the Mito S great gun for the money.
Excellent vid , my reximex pretensis has a bit of a stiff release .. might look into spring replacement , as ive taken care the adjustment as far as I safely can .. interesting ...
Interesting as the trigger of my RP 0.22 cal is just fine. There seems to be many videos out there about the UK version being quite hard on that trigger pull.
I did mine about 1 year ago it transforms the gun. Also heads up, it increased the power so if your in the uk check and adjust with a crono.
I made some adjustments to the Reg too and I do own several Chronographs, a must if you tinker.
How does adjusting the trigger affect how hard the hammer hits the valve?, Adjusting the hammer spring of course can increase or decrease power but never heard of adjusting the trigger affecting power, it's just releasing the hammer I don't see how that affects power.
Great video - thanks. You have a lovely looking rear sight on the Mito. Could you let me know what it is and where you got hold of it please?
This is the link. It’s currently out of stock but it would be worth ringing them to see if they can source one for you.www.airgunspares.com/fnprs-falcon-fn-pistol-rearsight.html
Watched the video right to the end, thank you for adding the ebay code and spring size. What Diameter spring is needed please?
Lovely work, are they for sale on rhe forum?
Hi, what size are the springs you are putting back in?
Just wondering where you get the rear sight? since it is not the stock one. I am looking for this kind for ages
Got the rear sight from John Knibbs International. This video will show you the Part number to search for.czcams.com/video/g4r5MA5HG24/video.html
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 thanks a million
Hello is the lock right nessasary and what is the advantage of doing that?
The adjustment screws on this pistol can have very loose threads, so can vibrate and move. Some light thread lock can stop them from moving, so you don't have to keep adjusting the settings. A tiny amount of Locktite 222 (or 221 if you can get it) will prevent this movement, but will still allow you to make adjustments without damage to the threads.
Would you not have had the same result, by adjusting the trigger sensitivity screw under the stock ?
Unfortunately not as the original spring has too much tension and can only be adjusted so far out, as the spring sits on a guide from said screw.
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 shortening the spring part that goes into the sensitivity screw hole to make it closer to 1 pound to trigger seems feasable based on your experience?
I also have large hands (10-11) and wondering how to improve the fit without imbalancing to much the gun. I wonder if I can manage to modify the trigger instead of adding material to the hand part (?). Have you worked or seen something on that ?
And TYVM for your video, the only one of this kind I have found so far.
Are the springs no longer available as I can’t find them on eBay ? Thanks
Does your wife know you stole her eyebrow tweezers ?😂
Thanks for that. Does anyone sell replacement springs or is it a matter of looking for something suitable? What's that rear sight on your pistol BTW?
E-Bay Item ID 222303808733. Go to drop-down menu and order 8mm length, 4mm diameter & a 15mm length, 4mm diameter. Both have a wire diameter of 0.4mm. Simple. Both UK supplied springs. John Kibbs International was where I got the FN rear sight from. The dovetail pistol rail did need some small packing out to fit (with layers of masking tape), but it’s tight enough, and works very well.
@@reevessairgunningreviews5572 Thank you.
@@stevemedlock6271 No problem👍
Next task is to re-foam the case so that it fits in with the sight in place!
What rear sight do you have on your mito please
