With how popular the anime is now, I can see another Baki crossover in Rise, only this time, you fight a MASSIVE and stronger Goss Harag. Why? It's pretty much the closest thing to the Hanma polar bear. Or Capcom can go the easy route and have us fight a Rajang instead.

@@Edagui97 DUDE, YES. I FREAKING LOVE KENGAN ASHURA. I can imagine a Rajang collab quest, mostly because not only is Rajang the most hand-to-hand monster in the game, but also because his eyes can be a nod to the Kure clan.
@@Edagui97 That sumo arc is weird. I mean not bad? But not great, for me personally. It’s pretty clearly a sort of training/testing arc for all the rest of the cast.
Musashi is kept in limbo maybe until some series finale stuff I bet. Like an actual final one on one test for a more mature Baki eventually becoming on par with his father. That makes the most sense to me because of both his bouts with the Hanmas not being real fights but gauges for each of their strengths and habits. Or maybe he comes back to help fight some new antagonist who’s a big threat to the whole martial arts world. I’m clinging to hope, lol.
Baki is also going to be in Street Fighter VI as well...as a playable character.
Seeing this... I wonder what crossovers will come to Monster Hunter Rise.
Would they do cross overs in rise? MHG was a celebration Title from what I understand which shows so well with the designs and the amount of collaborations!

Thank you very much, sad we didn't get everything from XX but this is actually insane. Going through G3 solo now and can't wait to get to G4 so I can start farming for some of these as layered sets. Love how some are badass gear, some incredibly pretty and in case of Fan Club just dripped out jackets and shirts. Also love all the Palico armors. DMC,Yugioh,Starfox and many more, really hope MH6 has a fraction of this many quality collabs

Since you can have npcs fight with you in Rampage. Imagine how cool it would be to have someone like Dante or Hatsune Miku go toe to toe with an Apex Rathalos

With Sunbreak being out - and Rampages being thrown to the side (as they should be) - I doubt Rampages will get any updates.
We do have Follower quests now, which are 500 times better than the Rampages, so there's that.
garo is a very obscure toku here in the west, to see it the game was kinda surprising.

Honestly, with how massive the greatswords are in Monster Hunter and how they did a lot a manga collabs in gen, it’s kinda surprising it HASN’T happened yet...
Honestly surprising how Rise didn't do a collab with AoT or Nier like they did before. The maneuvering gear would've worked well with wirebugs, not to mention the VA for Mikasa and 2B voicing Fiorayne
I've been yelling from Day 1 that they should Collab with Demon Slayer, RISE theme is Yokai and basically you hunt monsters that are direct references to the Japanese Folklore but nope... the devs are too cheap and lazy.
I really hope MHR gets as much as MHGU got
It never will. Generations was a celebratory game and thats the main reason why they went all out with the collaborations. Not to say that it will never have its own, but to expect this level is just looking to be dissapointed.

MH3G actually has a JOJO quest though. And it is ridiculously hard one.
90% of the rewards have been moved to the DLC shop in rise. Really stupid, cause in the older games I think "wow that's really cool I wonder what hard quest he got that from" now it's just sadness that feel.
I 100% did NOT expect either the Yu-Gi-Oh or Baki crossovers here. Now I gotta look into playing this one after finishing Iceborne and 4U.

The retsu palico is amazing
i have to say that I really love the monster they choose for the Yu-Gi-Oh event. They ask you to hunt of all things a White Dragon. That's by far one of my favourites.
Now if only it had blue eyes, or some of its attacks sparked some lightning...

Its silly to expect this level of collabs. What generations did with collabs was unprecedented until it came out and the reason for that was because it was a celebratory game. Not saying i wouldnt be happy they went all out aswell in rise, but its highly unlikely.

However, this kind of crazy collabs have always existed even before Generations (in fact, quite a lot of these DLCs were carried over from MH4).
It’s become a tradition at this point that MH games will get all sorts of crazy and funny DLCs from many manga/anime and Japanese media, but now that the series is going global and the shift in the target market, GenU is likely the last game ever to get such a variety of DLCs.

I don’t think it has to do with GenU being a celebratory title to have all these DLCs, which is why I mentioned MH4. Such mixed bags of DLCs are a staple of older MH games.
ALTHOUGH, I have to say that the DLCs in GenU is definitely “unique” in the way that the English version was able to keep most of them, as they’re usually get cut from the localised version.

Game is still new. I'd wager after the 3.0 update, we'll get more event quests. Don't forget E3 either. That will probably have some special events too.

Yeah there is, lots of people are still on. The people who beat Rise are either returning or they’re new to GU. There’s people entering and leaving my lobby constantly and I’m only HR11 haha, I love it more than Rise

MHGU didn't have timed events
You can technically, but the quests are no joke, so you won't be able to get the stuff you want right away (unless you're a god at monster hunter). You'll need to rank up quite a bit. So, it takes some time, but yes you can get this stuff.
This gamr is literally 10 bucks on the switch, got it and I own it for the 3ds. Better than Rise

@@charlielainez1148 I was so excited when they add the Rampage mode hoping for some Siege mode like Lao-Shan-Lung exists and they ditched that in Sunbreak, i was so excited again the second time when they introduced more monsters from GU hoping there are Deviants but there was none and in the last of the updates i was hoping there would be White Fatalis, Black Fatalis or at least Ahtal-Ka but no... they went with a recolored Malzeno instead and ditched the development of the game for good for a massive stupid cashgrab and stupid plushie sets. I could list all of their fckery and it will probably go on and on... can't believe they went from Iceborne to this unfinished and effortless installment. I admit that i was foolish to pre-ordered Sunbreak because i still have my hopes up, never again...

Seeing comments like “are these free?”, “are they timed events?”, “Is it over or can I still get them?” really shows how good we had it in older MH games where DLCs are free, plentiful and more accessible.
It’s good to see that Rise is doing the Event Quest the traditional way, but also sad that they had to promote it like it’s never been done before when it has always been the way they do it in the past. Similar to how some modern games promote themselves for “not” having micro transactions.
Older games also have lots of manga/anime DLCs as the games were mainly aimed at the Japanese audience back then. Though a lot of them were cut out in the localised version due to licensing issue (which makes it all the more surprising for me to see how GenU was able to keep so many Japanese DLCs intact). But now that the series is going for a unified global release starting with World and the shift in the target market to a worldwide audience, I feel like Capcom will never pick up the manga/anime and other Japanese media DLCs again because it might be considered “too silly” for non-Japanese players (or long time fans who are already used to it), western players might not care for it and likely the previously mentioned licensing issues.
There’s still a chance we could see such DLCs in Rise as it’s making an attempt to please the Japanese audience, but I highly doubt it.
I'm still mad that hey kept Inuyashas sword only in Japan in MH Tri.... We just gut a lame blue LS instead.

I can't complete the Nakayoshi: Silver Crystal one. After I've deposited the first crystal, the cave entrances get blocked up and i don't know how to clear them
1st crystal route : 1 > 2 > 3 > 9
2nd crystal route: 5 > 4 > 3 > 9

same happened with the sailor moon event quest , maybe the license for the collaboration expired. You can still unlock the special rewards you just need that other hunter post the quest for you.

You go to your chamberlyne and access the dlc menu, select quests, and the whole list will be displayed, you just select the one you want and done

Anyone know how to beat the garo quest? I can't beat golden rathian at all. Whether I'm used a thunder weapon or not. I still cart too much. Anyone got any advice on beating it? Because there's not a lot of information on how to beat it. Edit: nvm i managed to get the subquest once yesterday lol. Somehow won by a palico beating it but now can't get it today...
