I heard this song in may of 1990. Lost a dear person i really looked up to. I had turned 18 years old on February 17 of the same year. Man, it hurt so bad. I was a senior in high school about to graduate. My first real hiccup as an adult. Took me a very long time to even semi deal with my loss. I had never been through this before. Im 52 now and been through it many times now. I have to say it doesn't get any easier when you really deep down in your soul love someone. But i like to believe im a little stronger now because of the Grace of God. He gives me so much peace that can only come from Him.

When I was 5 I cried to this song to my aunt not knowing why I was crying.. I had not lost anyone in my life. But she said I cried with a deep soulful cry every time it was heard.
I lost my husband of 21 years in 2020 and this song came on and the emotions I felt as a child came flooding back… I am not sure but I think God was preparing me at that age of the pain I would feel… this song means so much to me.

These guys played the 1st night at The World Music Festival, LA Coliseum, April 7th, 1979; my first concert. Saw a lot of bands during that 2 day event, but came home with a Cheap Trick, Cheap Trick T-shirt. They had some great songs, but 10 years after their 70's breakthrough, they really hit it with this Classic Rock Ballad.

They were such a great, rock band 🎸 I had the privilege of seeing them, with Ted Nugent and The Baby's back in the late 70's and they blew everyone away!
