Quilva well furi(the name stuck after I said it once) seems like he needs doesn't need to eat and it's possible that he is just a clone, while people of the planet that sent him to this Earth need to thrive with a growing population or something like that. besides that he doesn't need to touch the planet anymore. he's got 9 other places he can go and any building that isn't part of the earth ( like the floor his robotic flight suit was on) to be able to walk on it plus he can stay in the air by flight
It's like when something that is fundamentally different or inherintly evil interact with humanity and learn about their culture and views which causes it change their usually black and white viewpoints. Rider is a clone that was ordered to assimilate earth, but i doubt he was programmed or mindless. I think he had the capabilities to observe and process things around him, mostly for combat purposes, but it also made him capable of learning from others and makeing his own decision, a decision that doesn't necceserily mean saving the earth. He can either choose to protect it because of his positive experiences or destroy it because of his negative ones, booth not because of him following his commands but because of his emotions. He shows hatered when he choose to destroy it and defiance when saveing it, things he didn't meant to feel. Even if he follows his commands, he do it because of his interest in takeing revenge, and The Star only has Rider as long as their interests are mutual. Ultimately he became more than just an expandable clone.

Edit: The fact that the Star talks about who will "protect them next time" leads me to believe that she was lying about needing this world for Rider's species to survive. It's more likely that was a brainwashing lie told to Rider and his other comrades for them to think they are doing something good, when really all they're doing is assimilating planets on the behalf of whatever race or beings that control the Star.

He gets transmissions from the Voice about various threats from other worlds coming to the planet, that's when the Rider heads into action, going after the threat.

I got through this whole game on Furi difficulty savoring the "thrill of combat" , as they put it, but I turned it down to Promenade on this one. The last two phases were murder :|
I was so surprised, the first time I thought this boss on regular difficulty, it took me quite some time, about 2 hours. Then when I played through the game on Furier difficulty, I actually beat The Star on my 2nd try, after dying on the 3rd phase. Beat the final phase on my first attempt. Defeating all the other bosses on Furier makes you really damn good at this game. Now all I have to do is do the DLC, wonder how hard it's gonna be.
OH ffs the charged shots go through the balls? Damn this would have been so easy if I'd known about that. My fault for getting into a habit of just spamming shots I guess.

I feel like if Rider actually de-activated his firearms like the Star asked, it would've just been like "Well that sucks that this planet isn't suitable for assimilation" and just left. It's not like it would have straight-up ignored the fact that Rider told it it shouldn't proceed with assimilation, right?
No, the star would've put Rider away and see what's causing the malfunction, and send another one of the many Riders in storage to Earth. There's a theory that before the main character more riders were sent to Earth
There was a different ending that cuts the game in half .... if you chose to stay then that's it.. nut if you kept going and defy the creator ... then yeah welcome to hell lol
@@olegoleg258 to expand on that theory, the riders that are sent are killed. Once a rider dies, another one is sent. So to stop more riders from showing up, they decide to imprison the current one to stop any more from coming.
Also for the first part of the final phase: standing in the bottom center will have all the shots miss you, except for the pink ones which you still have to shoot

I mean...you're locked in by a sadist who won't let you go till you kill him. Then comes an insane laser pointer that tries to kill you till it dies. Then comes an old man trying to bring you back to your cell. A rusty robot fish wanting to kill you too. Someone who brought you down once already, and tries to do so again. Someone who actually is willing to reason with you, telling you you can't go...but you can stay with her, and maybe be happy. And you actually have a choice there. And if you decide to continue onward, then it doesn't even matter what anyone else tries, because you've already made your choice: you'd rather kill everyone than stay there. You made your choice. Don't try to go back
The devs sure fucked up with this one alright. Level design is retarded af. You allways have to charge up your beam which prevents you from seeing shit. No swordfighting and shooting slows you down. Whoever's idea was to make this level is a dumbass that almost fucked up a great game completely.
Not really. I took it down fairly fast. I spent more time on The Burst tbh. But The Star is really lame and and the challenge it provides isn't fair in my oppinion since it takes some of the few gameplay instruments that I have been using this whole time. Also it goes after The Beat that has just generated lots of feels. I felt like The Star broke a rhytm for me a little bit.

I chose to fight The Star too. Let's think about it, with their technology to even synthetic life as tough as The Rider, they were probably have more than enough techs to build any other things. There is literally no need to assimilate other planets with life forms. They can just build colonies around any rock planets and gas giants and use those planets resources to build anything.

Yeah there were bad guys like this 3-masked dude, but they had this lady, this BABE who straight up wanted to care for me like I was her KIN! Right up until I had to continue the mission. Then there was a guy who was just like us, but different, he treated me with respect, like a buddy! He felt joy, something nigh-impossible for our species. Then there was this girl, just before I returned, who did nothing wrong, and our mission had me MURDER HER! I've made a decision, to redeem myself in hopes that there are more people in this world that are like them. You could've taught us how to return the kindness we're given, to feel passion in our mission, to let us know how to HOLD HER HAND!
This game was the best challenge I ever had. I played it when I was high. Cause that's the only time I had good reaction time lol... but great game On this level there us a cheese. After you defeat him quoting part of his speech ''Algalon the Observer yells: I have seen worlds bathed in the Makers' flames, their denizens fading without so much as a whimper. Entire planetary systems born and razed in the time that it takes your mortal hearts to beat once. Yet all throughout, my own heart devoid of emotion... of empathy. I. Have. Felt. Nothing. A million-million lives wasted. Had they all held within them your tenacity? Had they all loved life as you do?'' Edit: deleted the second part it didn't really make sense with furi. Anyway the basic idea is their desperate struggle doing everything they can even freezing time itself seemingly just for a chance to stay alive that itself might have been what changed his view.
So i defeated the star.. I looked for Training and there are 2 Bosses missing.. the 7th got rekt by bunny man(Or maybe he is the 7th?) and the 11th is missing(the Star is the 12th) so whats with the 11th?? Sorry for bad english
Justin Ahmad the Bunny Man (aka The Voice) is the 7th boss, he was the one who built the prison, by that logic The Star is the 11th boss, there is no 12th
In the DLC you can fight the 11th boss. In the Xbone version there are cutscenes connecting it to everything but the other versions do not have this. And then there is actually a "secret" second DLC boss named Bernard that is the ultimate test of your skills. You can only fight Bernard by setting difficulty to Furier and going into Training I think. Bernard isn't really attached to the story continuity and both their model and arena look half finished, but it is indeed the biggest challenge as it mixes and matches elements from every other boss into one absolute clusterfuck endurance run of a boss fight.
7th is the bunny man. He was forced by the Song to be a guardian, but wanted to see his daughter so he freed Rider to kill them all and escape with him He pretended to kill the 7th guardian but all he did was to use a beam to simulate a fight
this boss was disappointing to me, it was slow, frustating, and even though I lost to this one less then I did against the dup sword guy I cared a lot less about it.
I hate how everyone calls the player character Rider. His name is the stranger, the group he was with are the Riders. They are all named that, with no actual name. Even the wiki has it right
This fight ruined the game for me. I wish I could go back and take the other choice, but there is no way. Perhaps I'll replay the game once more, just to get furier. But I'm not going to do this awful fight ever again

@@thesnatcher3616 Bed of chaos can eat my ass. The Star and bed of chaos are basically the same in terms of utilizing the worst game mechanics. Bed of chaos wants the player to platform to it's heart while sweeping them into holes that kill instantly and the Star just takes away your sword, puts you in this shit camera angle and fires projectiles that blend into the ground AND your attacks and requires you to do well with furi's shit dogding delay.

So i defeated the star.. I looked for Training and there are 2 Bosses missing.. the 7th got rekt by bunny man(Or maybe he is the 7th?) and the 11th is missing(the Star is the 12th) so whats with the 11th?? Sorry for bad english
Justin Ahmad the Bunny Man (aka The Voice) is the 7th boss, he was the one who built the prison, by that logic The Star is the 11th boss, there is no 12th

The Voice (Bunny) is the 7th but there's no fight. The 11th boss is the DLC one
In the DLC you can fight the 11th boss. In the Xbone version there are cutscenes connecting it to everything but the other versions do not have this. And then there is actually a "secret" second DLC boss named Bernard that is the ultimate test of your skills. You can only fight Bernard by setting difficulty to Furier and going into Training I think. Bernard isn't really attached to the story continuity and both their model and arena look half finished, but it is indeed the biggest challenge as it mixes and matches elements from every other boss into one absolute clusterfuck endurance run of a boss fight.
7th is the bunny man. He was forced by the Song to be a guardian, but wanted to see his daughter so he freed Rider to kill them all and escape with him
He pretended to kill the 7th guardian but all he did was to use a beam to simulate a fight

this boss was disappointing to me, it was slow, frustating, and even though I lost to this one less then I did against the dup sword guy I cared a lot less about it.
I hate how everyone calls the player character Rider. His name is the stranger, the group he was with are the Riders. They are all named that, with no actual name. Even the wiki has it right

This fight ruined the game for me. I wish I could go back and take the other choice, but there is no way. Perhaps I'll replay the game once more, just to get furier. But I'm not going to do this awful fight ever again

I guess that’s why it’s an optional boss. I think it’s fitting for a secret boss to be extra hard and for this game to go to its roots in the bullet hell genre. I guess I’m in the minority, I’m honestly surprised to see so many people hate this boss. I loved this boss fight, probably my favorite
I think Midir shits on this boss as far as difficulty. However i will say i probably wouldve had to but a new controller or 2...
No way. On Midir you can summon and chug estus as much as you'd like, here you can't do shit to heal yourself

Bed of chaos wants the player to platform to it's heart while sweeping them into holes that kill instantly and the Star just takes away your sword, puts you in this shit camera angle and fires projectiles that blend into the ground AND your attacks and requires you to do well with furi's shit dogding delay.
