I already have a Happy Planner but I fell in love with the mint Recollections planner (funny enough I had a mint nail polish on when I picked it up)... I justified my purchase by saying it was for my senior year of college!

I had the same problem with the sticky notes ripping but all of mine did that. I am glad it wasn't just me.
Thabnk you for doing and posting this review! It's going to be nice for those of us in mid-size and small cities to have a source of readily available supplies, even if it's not the highest quality. I'm looking forward to jumping into Michaels to buy a pad or plastic pouch occasionally and then save my online orders for the times when Filofax or Kikki K quality is needed! Thanks!

Those are cute
I haven't tried these Michaels sticky notes, but I do have others and I've noticed you have to peel them carefully or they'll rip like they did for you. You almost have to press down the top as you're taking them off... It's not every page, but it seems that some are glued in more than others and will rip off if you just try to quickly peel one off. If you're aware of that, they're ok.

OOOOOOmg!!!! that mint color, is SO amazing... I just went and picked up one of these today, they were pretty much sold out, but I went with the "sky blue" the 2nd color that you got, LOVE it! I'm very new to the whole planner community, but I have followed you on Instagram and here on CZcams for quite some time now and with my massive OCD for organization, I am so glad that I found out about all of it!! I have gotten a Create 365, Happy Planner and also a fauxdori off Etsy so far, but still just have not found "planner peace" lol. I really think this Recollections binder planner will do it for me ;) Do you know if anywhere on Etsy sells inserts, specifically for this planner??? TIA!! love your videos!

I have searched Google and CZcams trying to find ideas for decorating the cover or outside of my Recollections planner. I know it is a "leather" type planner and you can't do as much, but it is kinda boring on the outside. If anyone has any ideas or know where I can find ideas for decorating or sprucing up leather planner covers, please let me know. Does anyone have issues with bulkiness when you carry it in your purse? Lastly does your planner lay flat? I am new to this type of planner and am just looking for tips from those of you with experience. I really love the ring binder system. Btw, I will pose this question on other YT videos. Thanks.
countrybunkin 1974 acrylic paints would probably work. freehand, stencil or stamps...

Yeah, as cute as the Micheals stickies are, I'm not a fan of how exactly they come off and stick. Def better than Target dollar spot, but still not like, you know, Post-it notes kind of stickies. I'm SO tempted to get a Michaels planner or inserts, but I SO don't need it, lol.

Which would you suggest to buy? I am indecisive. Don’t know which to buy. It seems that the recollection brand is a cheaper alternative. Is it a bit thinner than the kikkk k one ? Seems the rings are a bit smaller ?

I have a very silly question for you. I think most Michael's stores are pretty much set up the same way. I need to know if you can tell me what section or area of the store where I can find the planners. I went awhile back to try and find a planner and the person working told me they don't carry planners. Which is obviously not true. She just didn't want to help me look for anything. Anyway, I looked but not too hard and I couldn't find any area that had planners. I thought it might be where they have the scrapbooking stickers and stuff but I didn't see any planners.

My recollections planners and stickers had that aweful fake leather smell. I could not stop coughing. Sorry!
