Kim Namgil is a well respected actor and musical star in Korea. He is the literal reason why Jin started studying acting because of a movie that he was in and Jin was so inspired by him. It's insane that they are now friends. On Namgil's youtube there is a video of them together when Jin went to a movie premiere. It's also on bangtantv
Fun fact, Chris Martin of Coldplay has adopted Wootteo and the little guy sits on stage every night on their world tour. Chris (and I believe other band members) also wears a pin or a fabric patch of him on what ever clothing he wears for the show.
I love the friendship between Jin and Mr Baek .You can see how genuinely they care about each other.
On suchwita jin said that when he comes back from the military he wants to share the alcohol he made, with army and bts, his exact words were “"There's a promise Baek Jongwon made with me, while I'm serving in the military. I told him I wanted to give alcohol I made as a gift to a lot of people and he said he'd make a lot while I was away so that when I come back, I could give it away to our fans and our members."
So Mr. Baek was actually in the middle of filming his own show about regenerating a traditional Korean market at the time, so that's why he had a camera crew. So I agree they probably said can you just film the call.
As to "why are they so good at acting." I mean, Seokjin literally graduated from Konkuk University (a very very difficult university to get into and very prestigious) with a degree in acting and film 😊

yeah there's two types of spelling for Korean, first is Romanization which is the official phonetic spelling used on govt documents, and then the natural (english) translation. Like "Yoongi"'s and "Jungkook"'s names are romanized as "Yun Ki" and "Jeong Guk"

i don't know if anyone told this to you but seokjin did go to a traditional alcohol competition as a guest with chef baek and chief rokdam too!
This was so pleasing to watch with you and congratulations on your future bundle of joy!!! But yeah this was amazing, the food looked soooo good and the im not that knowledgeable about alcohol but this series was so educational and fun, I cant wait for jins return- i will definitely be buying his brand of drinks (chestnut taste? yum!) And Jin honestly looks and is so angelic, I mean he's always beautiful and sweet but his innocence and ethereality shines so much here especially with that sweater and his beautiful chestnut hair and his intelligence and kindness and genuine desire to learn, as well as his chemistry with everyone in this series, is so fun to watch. Jin is so charming, Mr.Baek is so charismatic and sweet and their banter is hilarious and so father/son like ( i adore that jin is close with mr.baeks kids and wife omg) and I loved seeing Kim Namgil (Jins actor friend and the one who inspired jin as a young teenager) show up too, he's been so supportive of Jin for so long now and their chemistry is top notch. And Jins master was so charming and sweet and cute, ugh I loved this so much!

Also, since you finished Bon Voyage S4 I believe you're going to watch other stuff now and I wanted to recommend to you guys Jin on Running Man, it was his promo for The Astronaut and one of the last shows he was on before going to the military, and it's soooo much fun!!! I remember you liked the episode BTS appeared for a segment and this time Jin is part of the whole episode!!

Its just that the older ones dont swarm them so you only end up seeing teens or maybe young adults
true and if i look at it, people not knowing him was probably more because of the area they were in than the age demographic ,countryside and in a traditional food market!
Btw, just for reference when pronouncing Korean words:
If there's an "a" e.g. in Namjoon's name, it's pronounced soft, as in "wall".
If there's an "ae" e.g. in Taehyung's name, it's pronounced harder, as in "tape", but without the kind of i/y sound if that makes sense.
The "eo" e.g. in Seokjin's name, is a soft o sound, as in "bother". The "o" is very similar in sound to that one but a bit harder/longer.
The "i" e.g. in Jimin's name is pronounced similar to the ee sound in the word "beer", but a bit shorter.
Not trying to say you need to pronounce everything perfectly of course, but I wanted to type it out just in case, since I've noticed those can be confusing sometimes.

South Korea is notorious for having one of the strictest drink driving laws in the world. That's why they are being that cautious. I forget what the actual BAC is, but it's basically zero, or as close to zero as you can get.
They literally have businesses where you call them at the end of your night out or whatever, and they will send two people to drive you home in your car (the second person drives that driver back).
I was missing Jin so much 💜 Yesterday we got a video message from Jin and now I watched 2 hours of Jin content with you guys🥰 thank youuu~~

Everything with starch can gets sweet becauss starch is just a really long chain of molekuls that gets to be sugar if broken down. You can try it with any piece of bread if you chew it for multiple minutes, like really multiple minutes until its been mush for a long time in you mouth and then its sweet
About drinking culture... the drinking culture in Korea (and asia for the most part) is completely different to western culture. Drinking is a huge part of Korean culture, and it happens a lot within the workplace between employees and employers after work at the end of the day, as a sign of teambuilding and upkeeping morale or spirits. Drinking is very common in Korea, happens so often that it has unfortunately become one of the leading causes of health decline.

1:59:20 That's no lie. Some of the BTS artist made merch was sold out even seconds before it went on sale. It was a horrific time that I still think about hahahahaha I only managed to get a JK mikrocosmos mood lamp, but I would've liked V's mute boston bag too, but oh well. I did manage to get these good day Jin pajamas for a friend from a reseller though.

My thought is they actually had this conversation and plan. Then Jin decided to make it a content for Big Hit to put out for him so he and Mr Baek re-enacted the conversation for the camera.
