Hey, I am Jimmy from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is my new poker vlog channel where I share some of my hands with you guys!
I am playing 2/5 and 5/10/20 at Casino Niagara. New to VLogging please give me feedback and tips!
I prefer the replayer. It's easier for me to follow the positions and action.
as someone new to taking poker seriously, the first format is probably the most helpful thing i've seen in any vlog ever... even better because you're a great player. makes it far easier to follow along and understand the game. you just earned another sub
Great start. Well done. I do like the split screen. Position is so important and the split screen is good for keeping that in mind.
Awesome content and incredible first vlog. It’s great seeing the action through the replayer. Looking forward to more videos!
I prefer landscape. Portrait with a hand replayer just makes it feel like a study session. I come to CZcams for infotainment.
I just discovered your channel! Love the vlog you have as a Canadian in the Niagara area, bring it back!
Excellent video, great to see a blogger out of Niagara. Maybe explain some more GTO in your next blog
I liked both, the commentary was good. The insight you had on each hand was great and you didn't even give a lengthy speech like most video bloggers. Run it up!
Awesome vlog!! Looking forward to more.
I love the split screen dude. I think it helps visualize everything... while the 'beauty' of a wide-screen neeme/owen-esque vlog is appealing - for those who are learning and students of the game - more than concerned about the aesthetics --- this is the bee's knees. I will definitely be subscribing and following along! GO get em!
Great vlog love this side view of replayer.
In AKhh hand, my understanding is we should never put raise more than 27-30% of the effective stack, if we want to do, jamming would be the best option. Why? Because when we raise to anything more than that, we made V's weaker hands fold and better hands continue. So, I wouldn't raise more than 200 or rather jam.
AA hand too, not sure why you'd 4-bet to 260. Doesn't seem optimal size to me. Usually in 4-bet pots SPR is anyways too low postflop that money would go in easily by the river. When you make this huge 4-bet size, again you don't get called by anything worst usually. I'd start folding quite a bit of broadway suited cards too in V's shoes.
Xing back on A44 board is not good unless you know V is going to attack your X back range and take a stab. Exploitatively, I see this as a sign of strength. So, next time when you bet on paired board, I'm x/r bit wider. So, on these board it should be range bet small size. You don't need any Xback on these type of boards and don't worry about protecting it. Generally, you should protect your Xback range on neutral or unfav boards.
AJo hand, when you say thin value bet it should be like 1/3 pot. You bet too big on R.
I'd love folding ATdd to a 4-bet at live. Let's say if you flop an A, are you really folding to V's 3 barrels? If yes, then you should have folded pre. If not, you are getting crushed by better kickers. If you catch a T on flop like this one, how'd you play if V barrels? You can't call all 3 streets, which again leans to the fact to fold pre.
IMO, feels like your Xback range is overly strong. You need to start betting more yourself as live players don't generally take a stab. Feels like you are missing lot of value by not betting.
I hope this helps. And please keep replayer on the side it is easier to understand. Good luck!
I don't know if it'll help him but it helped me a little bit think about my hands.. the 25 game I play in is filled with beginners that I totally exploit so I'm always looking for new ways to do that
This comment is amazing. I am looking back at all these hands and agree with everything you are saying, especially the last point being that my check back range is too strong. I feel like a lot of my betting is definitely on the polarized side.
As for the ATdd I think I actually don't like the 3 bet here period. I feeling just flatting here better and would probably no do it again. You are right where I need to smash the flop or pick up diamon draws or else hitting a T or an A on the flop would just push me in a blender when V shows multiple streets of aggression.
Edit: also that A44 board 100% agree I should just range bet 25% here. The fact that I was folding a lot swayed me a bit to check to underep my hand to downplay my tight image that session.
prefer the traditional without the player, or maybe if you can make it only a 1/3 of the screen for those who want both.
Congratulations on making such a high quality first vlog. I watch many poker Vlogs and this was fantastic. I really like the split screen and also landscape. I think you nailed it by switching it up. Looking forward to watching number 2 and really like the way you play.
Congrats on the huge milestone! Some beautiful photography here, too. Subbed!
This is the first time ive seen someone use this format and god damn is it refreshing good stuff
I like the full screen mode but I’d suggest a mixture. Eg full screen with seats and action overlayed around the screen.
Amazing content! Nice to see some Canadian Vlogers! I'd keep the vlog exactly how you did this one, with both formats. It will help you stand out. GL!
As a newer player here I liked the first format, I was able to see and follow where the named spots are I.e cutoff, low jack, high jack, under the gun 1&2.
Solid work too, can’t complain about a day like that. 😀
Replayer is great for following the action
Great video! The split screen seems to be very helpful. Thanks for posting
Hey, new player here showing up from reddit! This being your first vlog was really awesome and im looking forward to more content! Only advice I'd give is try to look at the camera a little more (I know it feels awkward haha) but besides that this is amazing! keep it up and congrats!
Thank you! This means so much to me
Honestly, really good format and vlog as a whole! Great job.
came for the poker stayed for the drone shots of Niagara. great vod
wow only has
I'm actually very surprised too
Great vlog! I think I prefer the format you used initially
Great vlog. I like the methodical approach and replayer makes it very easy to follow.
I like the first format, but I feel like you could put in in the top right corner of the screen or somewhere else so it’s not too big.
Great video man!!
This is Good and it is more clear about the situation.
Great vlog! Enjoy the replayer format (because you're tracking opponent stacks also). I also really like when you explain your thinking on bucketing your hand ranges, maybe talk more about nut/equity advantages too since you seem studied up on GTO.
thank you for the feedback will do on the next video.
Heey man, I turned 21 a while ago and I am soo happy to be for my first time ever in Vegas at the end of dezember. Are you there? Great content keep going!
I'm on a poker cruise right now, so no I won't be. Next time I'll be in Vegas is wsop
I like havbing the table but maybe make it smaller, no need to have it take that much space.
i think maybe put the graphics on top of the actual video
I was also thinking this. Replayer is great, but the size seems kind of awkward. Replayer on top seems like a good idea!
Unfortunately replayer on top might squish the video since it was filmed in portrait mode on my phone. Making the replayer smaller is 100% a good idea.
Nice scoooop
I’m subscribing for the split screen. Please don’t disappoint lol
Attaboy Jimmy! Great Job
Thanks Aaron!
I liked your video and the split view! Nice work!
05:57 I WANT MORE OF THIS.
Simplified game theory tid-bits that are easy to understand.
Replayer is so superior, awesome idea! Will get a lot of subs for sure, good content
Nice way to keep track of what's going on keep it.
good job enjoyed the hands. i dont have a preference on the format. i had pocket aces the other day but i ended up folding on the turn to an all in shove after i raised pre flop, flop and turn. I still dont know if i played that hand correctly or not but i did walk away with 5X of my buy in so i guess i should be happy, yet still thinking about that hand lol.
I vote for the Traditional format.
A fellow Toronto gambler!
I liked the replayer
I prefer classic but up to you
Congrats on 1st vlog. Good luck! Add an intro and outro and some non annoying non techno music.
Brilliant!! Loved this
A mix of both. Good job!
Your camera angle seems different than other vloggers, more of an eye view vs a table view. How did you accomplish that?
Yes I wanted to try to capture flop. I'm using a phone holder that fits in the cup holder
What camera u recording with is it yr phone ?
I liked the replayer!
Really enjoyed the video 👍👍👍
Replayer + more technical/game theory commentary.
Consider turning K9hh hand into bluff?
Nice commentary. 🔥🔥🔥
I am confused I was always taught the worse your position the higher you raise as your opponents, button etc, are calling wider. Is this logic not correct?
As an open size it Is definitely not correct. If you are UTG you want to open small, unless your range coreects for it. If you are playing a very tight range you can open big UTG. However, as a 3 bet size you are correct. 3bet 5x in the sb and bb and 3x in position
Also mix of both
Does there in casino in niagara falls just poker game ? Or they have also a black jack ?
They have BJ
I like seeing Canadian poker. Nice session
u ran like God
Is that a free online replayer? I want to document my casino sessions but they are pretty strict on filming here.
Great vlog bro
Hey, good vlog! just wondered if you would be happy to share your background etc so we can get to know you better :) I am in London!
I'll definitely maybe make a video about that. But I'm chinese canadian. Started playing poker seriously in 2019. And just really never had a doen swing. Covid hit and almost quit, but then decided to stick through it. But I'll share my graph and sessions etc in another video for sure
Hi I’m new here and i know I’m a couple days late but i enjoy the table/positions on the right.
you are right on time my dude :) Thanks for feedback!
With the last hand (Ace 10), it would have been hard for me not to bet the turn.
I’m coming to Niagara Falls next weekend. How is casino Niagara? Are there any other decent poker rooms nearby?
unfortunately, casino niagara is the only casino with decent poker. There are other smaller casinos with will run 1-4 tables, but they are terrible $15 rake structure.
@@exploitableiq $15 rake? Ouch. Btw I saw your post on Reddit and decided to come check it out. Great videos so far. Solid editing and analysis. I’ve recorded a few sessions myself and started editing them. Keep it up man!
Great video!!!!
Replayer format is great
Great content. Subbed
like the table, but not in a split screen. how about put it around the flop
Actually that's a great idea! I may have a picture in picture
do you have wechat? would love to chat it up some more with you about poker every now and then - i play online but i plan on hitting my first casino after 3 years of practice similarly to where you're at in your "career now". doesn't hurt to ask
definitely prefer the first half format
Great content.
I’m not a professional but min- raising Aces under the gun doesn’t seem wise. I’ve never heard that theory before about raising less the first you are to act
hi, it is very common now a days to 2x or 2.5x utg. The strength of your hand should never affect you open sizing or else you will be exploited by it(ie. Raise 5x with AA but 3x with AJ) the optimal UTG is mathematically 2x. At 5%, 4bb rake, the EV of AA when min raising is 8.53bb, if I were to increase the sizing to 2.5x, it drops to 8.52bb. Keep in mind that this is assuming everyone is pleasing GTO, you can choose to choose a bigger open size if you think the table is weak and can exploit them that way.
@@exploitableiq thanks for the response. I don’t know if a .01 bb is much of a reason to not exploit all the non-GTO players that you run into in live poker. I’m subbed, good content!
I would 3.5x open AA from early in live cash game
ALso watching it at 1.25 speed sounds much better
U raise your cards soooo high after looking at them when your moving them to the side.
Side by side is much better
Live table format
Idk. Was it 2 5 or 5 10. The pictures throw u off
it was both, 5/10 didnt have a seat so I played 2/5 then switched
first format. you stand out from other vloggers and it's easier to visualize the game
Replayer
5-10-20 at casino Niagara???
Yes
Okay I take back my comment you play way too face up it was actually giving me a snorgasm. But I will subscribe because these vlogs will be great to fall asleep to.
Thanks for the sub! I actually realise making vlogs now that a lot of my sessions are very theory focused. I don't get out of line much, so it will definitely be more boring compared to other vloggers. I don't have enough money as the other vloggers to start punting, but I'll get there. For now, I need to just keep focus on winning, the entertainment will have to come later.
I like the split screen. The guy you stacked with KK was he sitting in the seat you moved out of?
He was not I moved from seat 10 to seat 4. He was in seat 6
Portrait
wow poker wow so wow poker
Great vlog. You look familiar, perhaps weve played each other.
If you are in toronto and play underground then yes very likely
@@exploitableiq yup lol
@@anthonyf596 wait did you come to my game before? I do remember an anthony F
Your play is decent but negative ev when you’re not running as well as you did, which is when average players are exposed. Sorry
Keep it as the original format please. The split screen format it's not good, you will not reach alot viewers by doing this. Don't change a winning recipes please 🥺
Man your vlog would be so good if you wouldn’t nit and run
Bit hard to do, no idea how these guys can play 10 hours and not get fatigued. My average session length is 4-6hours. I rarely play over 8 hours.
@@exploitableiq but how do you justify click baiting us with 5-10-25 when you played one hand (which happens to be aces)and took “a lunch break?” It seems an awful lot like you just were a nit until you doubled up and then hit and run. Also there is nothing wrong with GTO or bringing it up in your vlogs. You just do not use your perceived range and even having a royal draw wouldn’t bet until you made your hand. I think I counted one time you made a bet without a made hand.
@@scooters4845 are you sure you are replying to the correct vlog? It's 5/10/20 starting from 7:20. I did not get AA at all in the 5/10/20. I got AA in the 2/5 stacked villian then moved to the 5/10/20 cuz a seat opened. Also what royal flush draw are you talking about? The only hand thats close is 11:20 where i had straight flush draw and i did bet the draw not the made hand... I think one of your concerns might be I'm not bluffing enough, but there are times where I cbet the flop and they fold that I don't include in the vlog because the pot is too small. Also, it's not always bad to just bet with a made hand as long as your exploiting their calling tendencies. Anyway, I'm not sure if you watched the correct vlog or not since I did not play only play 1 hand in the 5/10/20 with AA. Watch the very last hand of the vlog that was the biggest pot of the night that I won with AT which is also the image in the thumbnail.
This guy has female hands and to top it off, long finger nails, WTF?
That’s not legal in any casino.
Not true.
Please go away and never come back for the good of the poker community
