Music @ The Royal London Hospital - Michel (Mike) Pongo brings his piano magic to the hospital

Councillor for the ward of Chadwell Heath in Barking and Dagenham Council, Michel Pongo is also Deputy Chair of the Hospital's Health Scrutiny Committee, Barts Divisional Clinical Governance Lead in the NHS, and Campaign Coordinator of Dagenham Constituency Labour Party, among several other roles.... But more significantly today, and - in any spare time he has left - he is also a very capable pianist!
The music he chose to play came direct from head to fingers, with no musical score in sight; and it was just the right kind of music to gently pervade the foyer space, and also the outside plaza where our speaker carried his music and singing to the many people enjoying lunch or conversations in the warm sunny weather.
In a moment of special magic, Mike was approached by a lady who began singing along with the piece of music Mike was playing; she took up a microphone, and together they delivered an impromptu duet. It turns out this lady sings in a choir, so perhaps we may have found a new vocalist and group to come and sing for us...?
