    Bruno is a brilliant captain and a great representative of the club. I think having both him and Eriksen playing in midfield has been fantastic, because they are both calm and intelligent personalities on the pitch and they are always attempting to inspire and encourage their teammates. That has had a huge effect on the club this season, then you add in the stability at the back and the presence of Casemiro. Who will start more regularly when he adjusts to the system and the culture.

    • @haimainjauo242
      @haimainjauo242 Před rokem

      Him and Eriksen can't provide enough defensively together. Too slow as well. We can't throw Casemiro in there and hope he will stop everyone. We NEED to buy a midfielder in January, not only a striker!

    • @giants2k8
      @giants2k8 Před rokem

      Caicedo would be the perfect signing and would compliment the midfield, whilst also adding depth. Casemiro will thrive in the the holding midfield role once he is fully integrated into the first eleven. Eriksen and Bruno can play together though, because Eriksen is deadly in the deep-lying midfielder role he has been playing predominantly.
      A striker is a major priority and is a position the team is sorely lacking in, Rashford has his moments but he isn’t a natural 9, he prefers to drift into wider areas, including the inside left zone. He just doesn’t seem totally comfortable up top at times and has a tendency to disappear from games when forced to stay in the central areas; preferring to make runs in behind the defense from wider areas. He could be more useful, perhaps as a shadow striker, with more license to roam. I reckon we need a deep-lying forward to improve the link up play. Perhaps one who is versatile at the top and can play a pressing forward role as well.
      We don’t need big name signings at the club, I want to see talented young players who fit the system and are going to contribute to the collective build-up and transitioning phases of the game.

      @@emmz4251 should’ve been* when he returned. Having Harry as captain is ridiculous when you have Ronaldo who’s played more games for United than most of that team not to mention his experience in football. Also if you want to talk about this season, captains don’t have to be the ones starting.. being a captain is far more than just the 90 minutes on the pitch… Ronaldo is a role model for millions. Also Ten Hag has hinted plenty of times that Ronaldo will eventually be brought back into the line up once he hits form and understands the way he wants United to play. Ronaldo’s last seasons at Madrid under Zidane and Ancelotti they were the type of coaches that did not use tactics.. they allowed the players to dictate the way they play all he would really do was select the team. Same way he did last season and continues to do this season with Madrid. It proved to be very successful and clearly when Ronaldo went to Juventus they tried to do similar except majority of Juventus’ play was to strictly play for Ronaldo as they don’t have the obvious quality of Madrid. Also clearly with Man United last season it also wasn’t working because United have no where near the quality to play that style, they needed structure. Enter Ten Hag and Ronaldo has been so accustomed to taking the game as it came and being free in his decision making etc. Now they have a clear structure and Ronaldo is being asking to do different things and once they learn to play as a unit as opposed to individually I see no reason why he wouldn’t get back into the line up. Also if you know anything about Ronaldo is that he has always had these spells where he wouldn’t score for several games but once he scored that first goal to break his drought he would go on a streak. Happened last season as well. Started off terribly but picked up form and was scoring weekly. Comparing Harry to Ronaldo, in all honesty.. you didn’t even deserve my reply. Lol good day

    Instant impact was incredible. At the time, the only comparison was to Eric but even then, Eric came into the best team in the land. We all know what bloody state we were in that January! He delivered (Spurs, ha ha) but also lifted everyone and we were 3rd, 2nd, semifinals as opposed to 6th or 7th. If only we could have had a few signings instead of our revenue going on dividends and interest...

    I must say that I have been one the fans that has been incredibly frustrated with Bruno at times. He has so much quality but would give the ball away far too many times. You look at players like KDB, Scholes, Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta who wouldn't be afraid to ignore a potential "Hollywood" pass in favour of keeping the ball and trying again when the time is right. I've always wanted Bruno to just be a bit more disciplined in his play. This season he's playing with more discipline and I've been really pleased with his captaincy when given it. Well done on a solid start to the season and when you see Lisandro again please give him a big kiss from me because he is an absolute game changer for us! GGMU
