Plum blossoms which are similar to cherry blossoms are also commonly used as decorations in Chinese culture as they are the national flower of China.

Its decorating colours primarily consist of natural earth tones/soft tones and soothing neutrals, to induce a sense of relaxation and calmness, since zen means âmeditationâ. So in my opinion, to call the island âimperial-themedâ as written in the video description gives more accurate image than calling it âzen-coreâ.
I consider my island ânostalgia-coreâ. I have villagers that remind me of loved ones and I created places that I used to go to as a kid (the beach town my family visited, a boardwalk, hiking trails) I love itđ€
Mine i feel like is natural core. I have three headstones in a graveyard to represent the three loved ones I lost that broke my heart. And cherry to represent my sister whom is one of the three people I lost will forever be on my island. I may get Dobby to represent my dad and I have to find an upbeat kind of energetic female character to represent my best friend that passed

These unique themes are what keep me going in this game I swear! I just ditched my cottage core-esque theme for a Disney Luca-themed island and I am having more fun with the game than I ever have before. Highly recommend trying out something new if you're feeling the burn out!
How do you get enough items for such a specific theme? Iâm only getting burnt out because my progress is stifled by 1. Having to make a ton of custom codes that arenât the fun kind to make. And 2. I donât have all of the items needed so I get frozen in place.

It seems like these days we add the word âcoreâ to the end of a word and call it a new decor theme đ. Iâve started ignoring themes and just appreciating them for what they are rather than trying to label them bc that gets complicated lol
One of my biggest pet peeves is everyone adding "core" at the end of every single possible theme and calling it a new and revolutionary aesthetic ughh. I'm not one to call something cringey but I physically cringe when I see someone calling a theme "something-core" when it doesn't roll of the tongue at all.
My island is gonna be a combination of horror and kidcore. My favorite type of horror is nostalgic based, which involves very a childish and whimsical feeling combined with an unsettling atmosphere. Think of dont hug me I'm scared as a general feel of the theme

I think it would be fun to do one island for every color, but throw a secondary theme on top, for instance, elegantcore in all green, or fairycore in all purple etc.
Parts of Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah have âlushâ deserts where there can be a lot of sage brush and other bushes or cacti that can at times be colorful.
I tried visiting atlantica, it lagged so much that my frames dropped to like 15 fps, and it felt like my eyes were going to explode, but it was so cool!
I would absolutely love to see another video like this! I feel like I get so bogged down with cottagecore or forestcore that it's easy to forget how wildly creative you can get with ACNH. I also really liked how you delivered the islands in the video - in-depth tours of one island is great, but I enjoyed the fast-paced paragraphs about all the great aspects of 12 islands

OMG STFU THAT FAIRYTALE BASEMENT!!!! that is AMAZING. the entire island is incredibly creative and beautifully executed. I will forever be so impressed by the creativity and talent of my fellow crossers. This game brings out the best in people. This iteration has been my favorite by far and I can only hope the next version is even better. But this... with the online experiences and now the 2.0 update.... there's only small quality of life updates I could even ask for, so it's hard to imagine everything they're doing to make the next one.
My theme is a dark forest with a murder mystery story for you to follow. There are clues for you to solve it along the way as you explore and I spent a lot of time terraforming. Itâs based on a real mystery in my family that Iâve never disclosed until now âșïžđ

I'm trying to think of different builds to have on the island, but I've got plenty of time for that since i need a lot of diy recipes still anyway.
I've seen some of these islands before on CZcams. Several acnh youtubers have done full island tours of some of these islands. ⥠At 10:47, I love that view, that spot. Cute little Japanese looking restaurant, sitting area. ⥠I loved seeing all these islands. đ

i think an interesting theme that personally, i'm doing for my island is a city-core and farm-core island! Like separating the island into two sides for example; left side city, right side farm core. It's a great theme, that is very original that you probably won't find a lot!!
I dont have themes except for my home area, I only care about looking like a functional place to live for my villagers, well except for Fauna, Wolfgang, and Maple. They live in the cottage/country side of my island.

Mushrooms, snails, frogs, moss, ferns, shiny rocks, mismatched tapestries and twinkle lights, shaggy colorful hair, foraging. Goth meets hippie meets crustpunk. I have 4 pet rattos that I adore that I think are pretty "gobbo", too. đ„°
On my Island I have every section themed after the villager living in it. All the areas are connected to a cafe/restutaunt, each restaurant having an area behind it. Thereâs just so many great items that I wanna use Elvis- old kingdom/town, with the tailors and cranny Klaus- in front of the museum in a big garden with statues Rudy- playground area and pirate beach Erik- Forest/woods with the camp Me- Orchard, Farm, Beekeeper and overall dark cottage core Merengue- In the middle of restudaunt/cafe area Tiffany and Cherry- Modern Neon Nightlife City with arcade and bands Sprinkle- Winter and Ice Once the update is there; Ione- space and Mystical Shino- Asian

Love!! I really enjoyed this video! It's amazing how there are so many themes that people have done for their islands that I haven't seen yet! We're all familiar with the common popular themes, which I myself really enjoy, but it's SO refreshing to see different takes and different combinations of existing themes to create something really unique! I especially loved the abandoned kidcore island! Would love it if you did a part 2-I bet there are SO many other island types we haven't seen yet. Like cyberpunk ones! Never seen anyone do that one until recently and I LOVED it

Me too! Iâm a huge fan of goblincore but I couldnât find any islands that fit the theme. Tho mine is less goblincore and more just a basic natural theme as when I started the game I didnât have anything particular in mind lol
My island is literally gonna look like a normal little town until you walk around and find bloody trash bags and a random dead body on the beach, with a side of mini military camp tucked away in some corner lmao. I like to imagine how funny and cool it'd be to make it look like a happy little neighbourhood but it turns out there's some conspiracy crap going on behind the scenes with the military, missing people, etc
I have a Newsies themed Island and I get quite a lot of compliments even tho a lot of ppl whove gone to my Island dont know what Newsies is lol. Its essentially Early 1900s New York, a lot of Brick and wooden patterns in a big old box of controlled chaos and I love it. I get to use a lot of the Retro/damaged items along with a lot of brick/wooden textures but in a big city setting. Its still a work in progress but its theme is probably why Im so committed to my island bc it takes a lot of brainstorming to make certain items work

Goblincore is actually an aesthetic, not just an island theme! It is also known as Corvidcore. It revolves around mushrooms, bones, bugs and insects, frogs, moss, and literally just being weird. Itâs basically cottagecoreâs older cousin but chaotic.
Iâm currently working on an icecreamcore and tropicore island! Some of these were very beautiful and inspiring, and gave me a few ideas for my own island!

my last island was super unplanned and thrown together-- it was 5 stars and pretty goblincore, but the layout made no sense. i decided to restart (i completely restarted since i hated my island name) and i was planning on doing dark academia with a prestigious university kind if vibe, but i got white streetlamps (i'd been hoping for black or brown) so i tried to change my aesthetic to cottagecore with a lot of bee vibes-- i immediately got bored of it and wasnt loving how it was going so i've kind of impulsively decided to try and make it all magical/overgrown ruins themed. hopefully it goes well

A lot of us get bells from players who mod-treasure islands and stuff like that. A resource I used before I had access to treasure islands was nookazon :)
time traveling to new years etc and farm free miles then trading miles in for bells . i dont mod anything just use that exploit. takes some grinding but worth it.

Itâs named Neverland and the villagers are gonna be Poppy (as LRRH), Dobie (as the big bad wolf), Colton (as prince charming), Savannah (as cinderella), Chai (as alice), Ruby (as the white rabbit), Bob (as the cheshire cat), Doc (as the blue caterpillar), Cherry (as the queen of hearts), and Julian (as himself, heâs fairytale enough to have his own spot). Iâm gonna be the Mad Hatter, and I hope itâs gonna turn out well!

Yeah China and Japanese are pretty similar because of the cherry blossoms and feel both places give, but Japanese has less red.

i think an interesting theme that personally, i'm doing for my island is a city-core and farm-core island! Like separating the island into two sides for example; left side city, right side farm core. It's a great theme, that is very original that you probably won't find a lot!!
I dont have themes except for my home area, I only care about looking like a functional place to live for my villagers, well except for Fauna, Wolfgang, and Maple. They live in the cottage/country side of my island.

@@krisuler7734 Oh, my gosh, it's neat! Think of a witchy vibe, but make it kinda muddy and chaotic and full of mischief. Mushrooms, snails, frogs, moss, ferns, shiny rocks, mismatched tapestries and twinkle lights, shaggy colorful hair, foraging. Goth meets hippie meets crustpunk. I have 4 pet rattos that I adore that I think are pretty "gobbo", too. đ„°

On my Island I have every section themed after the villager living in it. All the areas are connected to a cafe/restutaunt, each restaurant having an area behind it. Thereâs just so many great items that I wanna use
Elvis- old kingdom/town, with the tailors and cranny
Klaus- in front of the museum in a big garden with statues
Rudy- playground area and pirate beach
Erik- Forest/woods with the camp
Me- Orchard, Farm, Beekeeper and overall dark cottage core
Merengue- In the middle of restudaunt/cafe area
Tiffany and Cherry- Modern Neon Nightlife City with arcade and bands
Sprinkle- Winter and Ice
Once the update is there;
Ione- space and Mystical
Shino- Asian

These island themes are so creative!! And the islands too were so gorgeous! Iâm currently doing a normcore island because Iâm basic lmaoo but if i were to ever get a second island I would absolutely consider doing a theme not sure what Iâd do though!

Love!! I really enjoyed this video! It's amazing how there are so many themes that people have done for their islands that I haven't seen yet! We're all familiar with the common popular themes, which I myself really enjoy, but it's SO refreshing to see different takes and different combinations of existing themes to create something really unique! I especially loved the abandoned kidcore island! Would love it if you did a part 2-I bet there are SO many other island types we haven't seen yet. Like cyberpunk ones! Never seen anyone do that one until recently and I LOVED it

Me too! Iâm a huge fan of goblincore but I couldnât find any islands that fit the theme. Tho mine is less goblincore and more just a basic natural theme as when I started the game I didnât have anything particular in mind lol
My island is literally gonna look like a normal little town until you walk around and find bloody trash bags and a random dead body on the beach, with a side of mini military camp tucked away in some corner lmao.
I like to imagine how funny and cool it'd be to make it look like a happy little neighbourhood but it turns out there's some conspiracy crap going on behind the scenes with the military, missing people, etc

I have a Newsies themed Island and I get quite a lot of compliments even tho a lot of ppl whove gone to my Island dont know what Newsies is lol.
Its essentially Early 1900s New York, a lot of Brick and wooden patterns in a big old box of controlled chaos and I love it. I get to use a lot of the Retro/damaged items along with a lot of brick/wooden textures but in a big city setting. Its still a work in progress but its theme is probably why Im so committed to my island bc it takes a lot of brainstorming to make certain items work
the 8 island is probably chinese / japnese themed because i saw some features and like custom designs with like chinese so i think its rlly cool!

Goblincore is actually an aesthetic, not just an island theme! It is also known as Corvidcore. It revolves around mushrooms, bones, bugs and insects, frogs, moss, and literally just being weird. Itâs basically cottagecoreâs older cousin but chaotic.

it was so fun seeing another goblincore island! i am currently creating one myself, but slightly less vibrant, and more dark than the one shown in the video :)
my last island was super unplanned and thrown together-- it was 5 stars and pretty goblincore, but the layout made no sense. i decided to restart (i completely restarted since i hated my island name) and i was planning on doing dark academia with a prestigious university kind if vibe, but i got white streetlamps (i'd been hoping for black or brown) so i tried to change my aesthetic to cottagecore with a lot of bee vibes-- i immediately got bored of it and wasnt loving how it was going so i've kind of impulsively decided to try and make it all magical/overgrown ruins themed. hopefully it goes well

My island theme is probably vintage springcore, Yes, itâs confusing but basically thereâs a few vintage hints and references I guess. Then the springcore part is like abandoned, but not the scary type LMAO

What I don't understand is how these players are able to get large amounts of bells without having any orchards. I've thought about redoing my island, but I can't bring myself to ruin my orchards
A lot of us get bells from players who mod-treasure islands and stuff like that. A resource I used before I had access to treasure islands was nookazon :)
time traveling to new years etc and farm free miles then trading miles in for bells . i dont mod anything just use that exploit. takes some grinding but worth it.

Iâm currently doing a fairytale theme! It doesnât look as good as the one in the video (seeing as itâs the first island iâve actually had the motivation to finish), on mine, thereâs 3 main sections, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland. Itâs named Neverland and the villagers are gonna be Poppy (as LRRH), Dobie (as the big bad wolf), Colton (as prince charming), Savannah (as cinderella), Chai (as alice), Ruby (as the white rabbit), Bob (as the cheshire cat), Doc (as the blue caterpillar), Cherry (as the queen of hearts), and Julian (as himself, heâs fairytale enough to have his own spot). Iâm gonna be the Mad Hatter, and I hope itâs gonna turn out well!
