Winner - Best Documentary Feature (Burning Hammer Film Festival 2018)
Take a look behind the scenes of independent professional wrestling. Follow the lives of Keith Lee, Sammy Guevara, Terrale Tempo, and many more as they take you on a deep and personal journey.
This movie has done so much for me. Without the help of so many generous people, without their time, energy, financial support, love and care, this would now be real. This film has taken me to London, has opened doors in my field, and has given me a better appreciation of wrestling as a whole. I now give you Wrestling With Independence. Thank you.

*The most heartfelt and genuine documentary on wrestling I have ever seen, in a cooler world this would be on Netflix or Amazon Prime.*
Amazing to see so many of these athletes have hit the big time and are now on AEW. In your own way your passion for the business has been a part of their success. You should be proud of yourself Ray.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
It's not on Netflix or Amazon because distribution is a bitch, and I'd like for people to just have the ability to watch this whenever. Thanks for the kind words.
you probably dont give a damn but does anybody know of a tool to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot the account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Nicholas Gordon Instablaster =)
@Alden Maximilian thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Alden Maximilian It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thank you so much you saved my ass !
Thanks to all the wrestlers, promoters, staff and crews for all the hard work to entertain the fans.
Man, ive never seen this before, and im blown away at the detailing, the quality of the production an character portrayal and heartfelt stories put so elegantly.
You should be very proud of this work, because its fantastic
So glad I found this, stuff like this makes me proud to be a wrestling fan.
This was amazing and this really gave me the inspiration that I needed. I’m 16 and I’m gonna be starting training in 6 months and ever since day 1 this has been my dream and it’s good to know that other wrestlers are going through the exact thing I’m going through. Now I’m just gonna work harder for my dream.
Wow, lot of names just on the cusp of breaking out in that opening list; definitely intrigued immediately
Incredible documentary. I'm glad I found it. Any wrestling fan should make the effort to view it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wrestle Circus-RIP
Listening to that Keith Lee introduction and all I'm thinking is 'built a huge promotion around that man'.
Sammy Guevara mentioned this in his vlog.. I am really glad he did. Great work Ray Zombie and thank you.
Nice. Which vlog?
@@Rayzombie It was somewhere under 100, around #70. I had started watching in the 300's but wanted to see what led up to the AEW stuff.
Excellent documentation of the indie scene. Well done.
One year later and almost nobody from this film is an independent wrestler anymore. :D
This is way older then a yr old, adam Cole was shown he has been in NXT since 2017 . Sammy said Im hoping for a bigger 2017 2018 in this video .
@@themadviking5746 Yeah it was filmed early 2017 I think
What do you mean by "independent"?
Isn't that a good thing?
Very good! Going to show this to my daughter - she's 8 but wants to a pro-wrestler. She loves it. I think this can be inspiring for her and let her know what its going to take. I support her 100% and will start getting her some training once this stupid virus goes away - starting with Brazilian and working our way up from there. I've been a fan of this sport since I was a kid - I'm 42 now. Respect and love all the talent in and behind the scenes. Good Documentary too.
If anyone after me watches this documentary and tastes salty, that's probably because of my tears. Thanks, Ray Zombie
This really touched my heart the amount of passion everybody has here. Thank you for this!!
LOVED this doc. Apologies for barely finding it. 🤟🏾All the best!
Thank you for this!
Saw you on Sammy Guevara's Vlog. Y'all mentioned this movie. Glad I checked it out. Very well done.
I've been contemplating on a wrestling career, I appreciate this so much. There's a lot of big names in here too🙏🏽
Amazing doc. Shouting it out on my wrestling pod tonight for people to check out.
This is incredible, congrats man
Just sent this to all my wrestling buddies and awesome documentary sir
I loved every single minute of this video thank you so much
Hey thanks
The only thing in life is to be a pro wrestler but when I reached physical fitness my sciatic nerve tore and before it began it was over but I remain a fan the stories the thiatrics the show I appreciate what they all leave in the ring many thanks k Lee s callihan s guavara all wrestlers awesome!!!!!!!!! ❤️
I’m sorry to hear about that. My journey is about to begin. In 6 months I’m starting wrestling and I’m only 16.
Excellent piece!! I enjoyed the hell out of this documentary... as a videographer/photographer myself, and covering combat sports & pro wrestling.. this package was an inspiration... 🍻
Thanks man, really appreciate it.
I saw the Reddit post about this and thought I would give it a try. I was totally impressed by it. While it didn't have longer or more interviews with some of the talent in it (Laredo Kid, SCU, Tessa, etc), it is still an amazing look at the life on the indie circuit and why they do it. I can't recommend it highly enough and will be telling my friends about this gem.
Thank you , fascinating look behind the curtain so to speak, loved it. be safe.
Sammy & Ricky are the future of AEW
Loved this!
A beautiful documentary!
Most of these guys are now in AEW, WWE and Impact. Amazing stuff
..And now half these guys are hanging with some of the best in the world.
Thank you Ray
Thank you, my friend 💙
So proud of these guys
Great job. I miss Wrestle Circus.
Great Stuff, thank you for the Upload and the hard work you put into this!
Glad you enjoy it!
that was awesome, i enjoyed every second of it
Thanks friend 💛
Amazing documentary!
Thank you!
Really great video
Great documentary
38:20 "I don't pay them." is what he needed to say
...several very "human sized" sides to this documentary. Well done boys and girls; well done.
I've been a closet wrestling fan off and on for forty years. Out of HS and college, I'd considered it but was fearful of the stigma. I'm too damn old now.
Cool angle to the storyline.
Thank you.
Well done 👍
The real professional wrestling🤘
Very good documentary
Incredible Flim Showcasing The Stories of these Professional Wrestlers
Awesome!
Thanks!
Good job
Inspiring!
In that ring is a whole other world.
On my road right now great motivation 👌🏿🤙🏾‼️‼️
Great stuff. #connectingpeoplethroughwrestling
good movie
Does anyone know the song that starts at 22:01?
Great documentary, could have not had the awful strumming the banjo in the background though !!
people always state bout growing out from liking pro wrestling . why ? it's theatre , its mini movies , soap Opras, escapism. People don't say they grew out of watching soccer or baseball, or watching ( fake ) movies, or stop reading fake story books ( Harry Potter etc ) or grown adults dressing up as there favourite ( fake ) superheros at events . so why does wrestling get a bad rep
I wonder what Keith Lee’s dad thought when he saw over 15,000 people chanting Keith’s name for two nights in a row while getting worldwide exposure in the farthest reaching promotion in the world. I know he isn’t making as much as he would in the NFL, but that may have never happened anyway, and most football players aren’t highly cheered for specifically.
Can anyone tell me who is 11:17? Seems like a funny wrestler
Who is Sammy Guevara's t-shirt graphic designer?
And now the majority of these people are in AEW
U see the dummy saying its about money who is he loser no heart u see sammy and others who love & live it they make it money is the by product of passion and dedication of what u put in
I’d love to see just a Sammy doc
check out his youtube channel its pretty good.
kehw I love his channel
"the odds of being a carny wrestler are slim to none"?! Dafuq?
lost soul's....
Eamon LOOKS like a wrestling fan lmao
Really hurts to see Keith Lee talk like that and then see how he’s being treated on the main roster :(
marry me keith lee
8:02 biggest indy crook ever.
is ray zombie related to rob zombie?
nah
And now please with actual independent stars like Alex Zayne, Josh Briggs, Cara Noir, Danhausen and many more.
this was filmed in 2016-2017 when these guys were the big indie stars
And now we have new indie stars, so why not making a second part.
@@suoquainen Because I dont have $10,000 to throw around for a movie yet.
No problem, i can wait. :)
The guys have always loved wrestling...the girls seem like they just wanna get famous...
Old man taking pictures of your cut. That's when you know you haven't made it.
Privacy is nothing.
That Keith Lee guy will never make it...
Documentary was super boring.
These guys make no money. Its sad that these indy shows are kind of sad.
This is more like amateur community theatre. They really aren't professionals but good amateurs I guess.
U clearly no nothing
U dumb yeah? They are professionals
I’d say you’re ignorant but your watching a documentary explaining independent wrestling. You’re plain old stupid.
Women's wrestling is the worst... Sure people like Sasha Banks are great to look at but the execution of everything from the wrestling to the character, it's all terrible! I can't stand women's wrestling!
You’re an idiot
@@daviddelfarno3850 good job addressing the points made, ask your mom if you're allowed to add more details...??
