The nostalgia
It's amazing and also kinda sad to see just how much everything has changed from when you were little, because when you look back, you see that almost everything from your childhood is gone. All the time, I look at the new shows that are airing now and I wonder how the children of today's generation can watch them. And then I look at old shows that have either ended or stopped airing altogether, and I wonder why they couldn't air those shows again. And then old shows like Sesame Street and Clifford the Big Red Dog have changed so much that they would now look like completely different TV shows if they didn't keep at least some of the old characters. I miss the way things were back then, but the world is nothing but change, so we all know we have to accept that.

I remember these too well. I’m just trying to sleep (12:51 am here in Delaware and i have to get up at 7am to go to the mall for Black Friday with some friends) and my brains just like “yo you remember this?” And so here I am. I was born in 03 and I remember (at least up until 2011 at the end of my second grade year) seeing these old logos. This brings me BACK. I miss being younger.

Thank you for preserving all of these. I was born in 2008 and was lucky to experience all of these. I remember tuning in to PBS Kids every Saturday morning to watch Thomas and Friends. And sometimes during school days in the afternoon I would see shows like Wild Kratts, Dinosaurs Train, Clifford, Curious George, Martha, and a few other shows. I remember most of these from 0:00 - 2:41. I also remember the time Chuck E Cheese’s sponsored PBS Kids. And even Chick Fil A at one point.

So this begs the question:
If Dash and Dot are the mascots and the IDs are mostly of them doing things kids usually do, why isn’t there a show of them on the channel with full-on 11-minute segments? I would watch that.
I would literally start watching PBS again just for that one show
It should be all 4 siblings (dash dot dee and del), and an ensemble show about their adventures and misadventures (kinda like friends)
It could also be a crossover with other old pbs kids shows

Remember watching these a lot back then. What a time to be alive as a '00s kid.
I grew up with PBS Kids for most of my childhood (from like 2010-2015), barely watching any other programming besides it. My favorites by far were Clifford the Big Red Dog, WordGirl, Sid the Science Kid, Dinosaur Train, Super Why, Curious George, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Arthur, Cyberchase, Sesame Street, Martha Speaks, and Oh Noah.
It warms my heart to come back at look at these again. Dash and Dot literally produced my childhood, and I will be forever grateful for it.

I grew up with both the classical ones and the modern ones (born in ‘06, watched till around ‘17). Though they both bring back great memories for me, the classic ones take me back to when the best shows were on there. Curious George and Odd Squad were always my favorites

I remember the PBS Kids from 1999-2008. but, I've never seen a 2013 PBS Kids until early 2017. They look 60s-ish or 70s-ish. Those character designs are interesting to me.

I was a 2002 baby and grew up with the OG designs of Dash & Dot. I honestly love these better than the new ones, due to those having more personality. The newer ones look like something an 8 year old made with Adobe Illustrator.

And then there's a story.
I once had a nightmare where dot was in a spacesuit and looked like one of those mascots who go to different events. It was creepier than the one in the bumper. Big, bulging eyes. She then turned into an octopus like the one in the transform bumper. Luckily Squidward was there to stop her.

I remember when I was six we went to my childhood friends house often just to watch pbs kids since they didn't have cable, and I remember vivid nostalgic memories where these bumpers would show up right before Fetch. I feel like the 2008 ones look so good, it is the same kind of "nostalgia" I get when looking back at the CN city bumpers, its like a time capsule of an older generation of kids that are now going through teenage/adult hood. I wish they could have done a better job in the recent bumpers. They look lifeless and boring to me. The biggest thing I liked about the older ones was that they looked creative and it felt like they put a ton of effort into making the characters alive. I just hope that if pbs kids ends it does with a bang instead of a whimper. Just seeing those old bumpers from 2008 made me rekindle my memories with the channel. I just don't want that to be ruined by a bunch of corporate executives.

Wow thank you for posting these! I was born back in 1999 and I went down the PBS kids rabbit hole after the Cyberchase theme popped up in my recommended a few days ago. I’m 23 now and it’s crazy for me to see people here comment “I was born in 2009 and this was my childhood”. I stopped watching PBSK once I started high school in 2013 but this vid brought back memories of watching these shows until 6:00 on a school night.
