      When switching to nix???
strong points for arch are AUR, cutting edge versions, full customization and bragging rights...
      - Nix stable branch itself has thrice the number of packages than AUR
      - fearless full customization, you even start to customize systemd daemons regularly...
      - we can install any version of any package without conflicts.. which means, i have nightly builds of many packages... bleeding than AUR
      - with all these.. it's stable than Debian....!!!
      - and also NIX BTW bragging rights.... (cuz first time learning to configure sucks.. ngl, but then is smooth road ahead..)

I've been using Rnote daily for almost 2 years to study electrical engineering. I enjoy it a lot and i'm not looking to change. I think the UI is really intuitive and it even has a left handed mode too. I use an hp 2in1 laptop with a Wacom Bamboo pen.

I used Joplin until i discovered Obsidian. The markdown implementation is way better, Joplin tended to get my text formatting wrong a lot of the time. Also, Obsidian is much more customizable. It's true that it doesn't come with any free way to sync your notes out of the box, so i use Syncthing to back them up in real time.
Obsidian was a game changer for my note taking.

I think, I tried Joplin several years ago and it wasn't suitable for my usage. Also probably it didn't have sync feature at that time. Instead I used SuperProductivity. I like it for features like tracking time, syncing with cloud, timeline, backlog, etc. The only thing that I don't like is an interface. Joplin's interface is a little better on my opinion.
