- This was my first time listening and reaction to DIMASH with SOS d'un Terrien en Détresse.
Someone who commented on the video said I had been Dimashified so I decided to host the video here on DIMASHIFIED.
I had to move the video on this new channel because the CZcams algorithm was killing my education channel (contemporary singing for French speaking people).
Please forgive the cuts, I'm still learning.

Vocal coach reactions are the best, because they understand what it takes to do what Dimash is doing.
C’est vraiment dommage que Dimash soit si peu connu en Europe. Depuis cette performance il s’est encore amélioré (notamment dans sa prononciation des langues étrangères), il n’avait que 22 ans et il en a 29 aujourd’hui. Il est très connu en Asie notamment pour sa tessiture impressionnante (estimée à environ 8 octaves), dans le grave il peut descendre jusqu’aux notes basses des barytons (do 1) et dans l’aigu, la note la plus haute qu’il ait jamais émise (en sifflet) a été mesurée à 4702Hz, soit un ré 8. C’est vraiment une force vocale de la nature, il a une formation lyrique effectivement, avec un doctorat en musicologie et en composition, il a l’oreille absolue et joue de 7 instruments, mais il a refusé la place qu’on lui a offert à l’opéra pour faire carrière dans le genre qui lui plaît le plus, le crossover.
Bref, vraiment un artiste incroyable que tout le monde devrait entendre au moins une fois dans sa vie je trouve.
Oui mais politiquement, les maisons de disque ont le monopole et malheureusement tout est bloqué. Heureusement qu'il y a internet :-)

It was my first time listening to him and he was in a talent show so my reaction was as honest as possible. I now know who Dimash is.
He was only 22 yrs old when he entered this competition in China. The year was 2017. 👍❤️🇨🇦
This was 2017 he is kazak. 24 yrs old here. He will be 32 in May 2024. He does all genre. Highest note d 8 please check other songs on his CZcams channel u will be amazed ty

After watching and listening to Dimash for over four years I still have goosebumps every time he sings.
I’ve been watching another vocal coach’s videos my own range and diaphragmatic support and improved breath control.
Dimash hasn’t just touched my heart, he has also touched my body and voice.
I don’t think he ever does this song the same way in performance.
Dimash is a very humble man and he always thanks his musicians.
I’ve never heard a person like him.
I’d like to share with you the vocal coach’s CZcams channel which is: The Fairy Voice Mother. She goes through the vocal techniques but, more importantly, talks about how the anatomy changes with such accuracy.
Your analysis in this video is wonderful and will be useful in my own progress.

Thank you very much for your comment Tim! I'm new to reactions/voice analysis videos. So even if my French School Vocalize channel is about vocal technique (and about how our body allows us to achieve such and such sound), I'm still searching for the right amount of reaction/teaching for those specific videos. I'll go and watch a couple of reactions from the coach you mentioned to get inspired :-)
Thank you for your reaction. Pls don’t critique him on his French accent - he does not speak the language, just like many other languages that he sings in but does not speak. His vocals are incredible. I hope you agree! I am a huge Fan!! 👍🥰❤️🇨🇦
I don't critique his French. French people were the harsher to criticize his French and I told them "can you even sing in Kazakh or in English with a proper "th" ?". I sang multiple times only learning the lyrics using phonetics and he's doing good although he can improve his pronunciation. I am very thankful he sings in French.

Hi, Dear! It's been a long time since your last Dimash's reaction and I miss it. Dimash continues very active and creative. He sang in a duet with the great Placido Domingo and last week released a new video called When I've got you. And it's wonderful! It's totally different from what we're use to see. Juste que vous savez que l'original a été écrit pour la tessiture vocale de Daniel Balavoine. La seconde version est interprétée par Grégory Lemarchal, le redoutable chanteur. Et maintenant, Dimash a réincarné cette chanson, bravo à lui.
Bien sûr, je sais :-) La version de Daniel est pour moi "un classique", celle de Grégory me fait pleurer et plait beaucoup à mon fils de 7 ans (bien qu'il demande à écouter Dimash). (je suis coach vocal, chaine @schoolvocalize ).

J'aime bien écouter les 'vocal coach' et surtout ceux et celles qui savent bien expliquer les techniques de chant comme vous. Il y en a très peu en langue francaise. Thanks David. I posted it on my French CZcams channel (contemporary singing education channel). It got me hundreds of thousands views but was killing the work I did to find French singing students (as Dimash audience is international). And I had to take it down. So this video is a 2nd time post :-)

It is not that bad :-) He sometimes pronunces an "s" which is supposed to be mute like in "pourquoi je viS". It is already very good and a great work!
