On October 11, 1992, Sanders played in a Falcons game in Miami and then flew to Pittsburgh, hoping to play in the Braves' League Championship Series game against the Pirates that evening and become the first athlete to play in two professional leagues in the same day!

Sanders actually did not play in that baseball game (Game Five of the 1992 National League Championship Series at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh); as Justice says, Otis Nixon was the Braves' primary leadoff hitter and center fielder, whereas Sanders was essentially the backup. Indeed, he only started two games in center field that year after the month of August. And since the Braves lost Game Five of the NLCS in a blowout, there was no incentive for manager Bobby Cox to use Sanders as a pinch-hitter or pinch-runner late in the contest, certainly not after he had just played an NFL game earlier that day.
However, Sanders would make some starts in the 1992 World Series versus Toronto in left field, in place of a slumping Ron Gant.

May he rest in peace but Tim McCarver was one of the loudest with his negative comments over Deion attempting to play in both games ⚾️🏈 it was something we never saw before and unfortunately the way they baby athletes today. We probably won’t get a chance to see it happen again.

The rumor is that Braves general manager John Shurholz instructed manager Bobby Cox not to put Dion in the game for whatever reason. Dion dressed for the game but didn't play. Which was unforgivable considering what he would have accomplished that day. The Braves could have had him pinch hit or even punch run. Shame on the Braves
