When I was homeless myself for about a year and a half I got into a shelter, they had beds and served a humble dinner that honestly still left you a little hungry, but was better than nothing. A man that owned a “Roach Coach” or Catering Truck, started coming by after dinner, and gave everything he had left to the shelter who gave it to us. While most people would have just thrown it out because they couldn’t sell it the next day, this man would go to homeless shelters all around the city giving them whatever was left at the end of his day. Cooked food, bageldogs, corndogs, etc. I got out of being homeless, that shelter no longer exists, and I don’t know if the man is still operating his truck or not, but I’ll never forget him or his kindness.
You’re not the only one who won’t forget, I assure you.
Was homeless once, when somewhere brought literally excess stock soda like cola, fanta and 7-UP you have faith restored
P
Yeah I don't understand why so much food is tossed when it could be given to people.... Well I do, it's a legal thing. If someone got sick they could sue so allot of places just toss it. Still unfortunate.
Also people need to stop giving canned food to shelters and stuff. Like some is fine but they need actual food. You can't live on cans of corn and green beans.
Ben there as well....
My first job was at McDonald's. I worked the morning into lunch shift. They use to throw out so much food. So I gave the sandwiches we were go to throw away to this homeless man who would pay for a coffee in Pennies.
He was so grateful. I got in trouble and told we were not allowed to do that. This same man tried to fill out a application to work. He had poor handwriting, he didn't have a home to write his address. He used the shelter as his address. The manager had showed everyone. They were all laughing and making fun of his application, and then threw it away. I had always been so shy, but this pissed me off so much. This man was TRYING to earn money to eat. I ended up quitting because I was so disgusted with everyone there.
God Bless you
I would have turned his name to his boss at HQ and blasted him all over every social media platform there is. Anybody that will do that to someone trying to better themselves needs to be named and shamed.
If a homeless man steal "omg he doesnt wanna work" but if he try to find work "hahaha fuck that guy" so... conclusion?
And a lot of people on CZcams will comment about people being homeless to just go get a job and then there is your old job with people who you used to work with...... it isn't as easy as some would think....
So 😥
I was fired from chevron gas station fir feeding homeless people the food at end of the day that I was to throw out I walked out happy w my head hi .
Well it wasn't urs to give away
I was a security guard at Canadian television. They wanted to replace an older dude who knew every corner of the place. Because he wasn't talkative with the TV personnel. I told them I'm out. Since i was a son of a millionaire. That man deserved his job more. Hope they didn't fire him though. They even made him train me. And he was having doubts. Strange

You were fired for not properly following guidelines. See giving out expired food is a big liability risk and not really your position to make unless you are owner/CEO outlining said guidelines.

Everyone is human, no matter their situation, I've been homeless for 5 years at one point in time. I am only 35 now but I know what it's like to be seen as nothing. Noone should ever be shamed to feel that low. The kindness i found was a restaurant owner saw me asleep behind his store and he didn't kick me off, he offered me a job. I've been working ever since. It gave motivation to do something more.
.
God bless that restaurant owner! I’ve never been completely homeless. But once in 2019 dealing with injuries from my job and not correctly getting paid, I almost would have become homeless. But God in His mercies saved me. He sent help from His sanctuary. It wasn’t much, but somehow I managed. I’m always helping someone throughout my life I still do it to this day. It’s always a pleasure for me. So I never lack provisions in my life, because the Lord ALWAYS come through for me. At times, I may have to wait. But it always works out. If I get into a situation, don’t have family to help me get out. So I depend solely on the Lord to see me through. So I’m glad you’re doing well now. Continue to strive for excellence! God bless you!
God bless you ❤️
I take so much for granted like I always complain when there's a blackout or no watere because we use a water pump because if there's no electricity there's no pump or no way charge my cellphone. Even though I'm always very very thoughtful and caring. Even made friends with two crows recently like two months ago were really close now and I love feeding them too today I gave them some bread and a tiny piece from my fried chicken breast then he came back to thank me I like to talk crow with them too it's kinda cool wahh wahhhh waaahhhh. 😊
I'm so happy for you! I know how hard it can be at times. I hope you are as proud of yourself as you should be! 🫂💕
If you do something kind to someone, they'll repay your kindness and it may not be rewarded. What's important is that you do a good deed.

@Teresa Ronga...I agree be careful what you say or do. Just remember God knows our every thought, word and action that we will be judged on judgment day.
10,000 Thumbs Ups!
No doubt. My Angel is with me. I don’t want to live in shame for the things I do.
Her name is Hannah. She has saved my life more than once. She came to me one time. She showed herself to me. I knew her and she knew me. She appeared in a gift shop in flatirons near boulder. She was looking for me. She said I’m ok and that things change and I’m going to be around for a while and there is a master plan so be ready. She said she had to go and I hugged her and when I turned around to look at her she was gone. I went outside and she vanished. I sat and my wife met me and she asked what happened? I told her and she smiled. When we got home she gave me a book about angels and then I knew. I know she helps me. I had a heart attack driving 55 MPH through the mountains and passed out. Something kept making me turn my wheel. Three times to the right. I was out of it but was told when to turn. I went for 1/4 of a mile over a bridge all in a right turn up the road while still going right then hit a sign they tore my fuel lines and stopped the the engine. The guy behind me saw what was happening and knocked on my window and I came out of it. Still gripping the wheel. I asked what happened and he said you wrecked and I asked if everyone was ok and he said yes but you almost went head on with a semi. He said you turned three times and if not you would have died. I was glad no one was hurt. I was ok. That was #7. . I’m to the point that I’m going to search for it. I can’t wait. Time is running out.

I'd never forget, I worked in a bakery. We were told to throw away out dated deserts and breads even if still good condition. Me knowing that homeless people took from the trash I bagged the items put them next to the garbage. It was hard hearing my boss say no they have to get it from out the garbage, because of liability purposes. I understand the business side of it but I didn't like it. God Bless the Homeless 💞🙂
God bless you and your family 🙏❤️
You should see the amount of food that Facebook and apple throw away every day in the garbage dumpsters because they cannot give it away liability issues im talkin top quality food.. brother-in-law works at the chef at Apple and my ex-wife works of the chef at Facebook

This is one of the reasons I like the franchises that write donation into their contracts. Like Panera. To own one of their franchises, your contract states that you have to donate your left over baked goods to a local charity/shelter/etc. More businesses should incorporate such things into their contracts, even if they aren't capable of making sure every franchise enforces it. A lot of them will just to dodge the possibility that they are checked up on.
That could change of our states and local govts change some liability laws.

I always believe in treating others the way you want to be treated and to pay it forward. You never know when giving someone a few dollars or food or anything will completely change their life ❤️
YES!!!
How they need & want to be treated, not how you'd want to be treated. There's a grand difference...
When I do any kind act for someone & they thank me, I just tell them when you're able, just help someone else.
I treat people decently. Helped them out. Get treated poorly unfairly.
Gotta love the grandfather.
Always treat people how you would want to be treated. Great story!
But sadly, it doesn't always work out. Some bosses get to treat certain individuals in any way they want and get away with it, and it's not fair, bosses need to be held accountable for their civil rights violations against those who work for them, but too often never are, and it's not fair.
What goes around comes back good or bad! Enjoyed story!🥰😍👍👏💖💞💖💞
One good turn deserves another. What an amazing story!!

The manager should have called the owner to install hidden cameras around the register and safe areas. I worked at a grocery store where the registers had PC passwords to open when not engaging customer transactions. Each register till starts with a set amount of money. Part of the cashiers job is to guard that till. The till totals get reconciled daily against the cash transaction amounts for the cashier's shift. However, this YT, if real life, story could have been from a time before any of this retail cash security technology and processes developed.
A wonderfully cohesive story with the justice of kindness encompassing the kindest of all.

What's still fascinating is the human compulsion to pay someone back who has selflessly helped them in the past personally when they are greatly wronged even at great personal expense.
3 decades and i still own so little in my name, but one thing i am so proud about is that i never stepped on anybody or do harm on anyone, i would always strive to be a good person that would always meet anyone with a smile on my face and treat everyone like how i wanted to be treated, it pays nothing to be a genuine and honest person 🥰
That was a good story I’m glad his Grandfather caught her out and he’s well rid of her and the little boy got his surgery as she’s a good woman ♥️
Whether it's a true story or not, it's still wonderful. My late parents always told me never to look down on anyone unless you're offering them a hand up. I've never forgotten that.

Our family just rented a house last month. We were homeless for nearly a year. A kind man allowed us to rent his tiny office so that we had a roof over our heads. We did not have an oven or a shower-- but it was still the greatest blessing.
Really a blessing
And who, from the beginning, wasn't hoping the old man would turn out to be his Grandfather! From the exchange of who was changing places to go on a trip I was praying that the homeless man sleeping out side, the same one she gave more than she could afford to, was her guardian angle? God Bless!!

@@oscarguimbal7961 while I have no problem with the idea behind the story, It's oddly put together. They are getting married in 4 weeks, but Grandpa sends him off for 6 weeks. This was a good story. I had to watch it again. Especially when I learned the homeless man was grandpa. 😊😊. I thought it was Leah stealing. Anyway, I had a brother who was homeless his CHOICE, (long story) he told me how he would get food from a restaurant nightly. They had to throw it out daily. My brother asked the guy to put it on a bag for him. The guy did it but he had to ACTUALLY THROW IT N GARBAGE and my brother take it out. That was the plan in case the boss be looking. Brother came to my house one night when 4 rotisserie chickens In a bag. It was good. Then my brother told me how he was getting them. Many memories of him. RIP BROTHER. MUCH LOVE. 🙏😊😢
Absolutely
Amazing story , Camille sounds like a keeper for sure . ❤️
I worked at a fast food joint in 1994. At the end of the day, we put all the left over food in clean garbage bags and left it by the dumpster. All we asked the homeless was to please throw any trash away in the dumpster so management didn’t find a mess in the mornings. Some guy bought the joint and changed everything over night.
He made us toss everything into the dumpster and padlock it at night, and we no longer got a free meal while working. He lost every employee within six months. After that, the people he did hire were so rude, he lost the customers too. He was shut down in less than a year of buying the restaurant.
She may not get her reward for this on Earth, but she’ll definitely get her crown in Heaven where it really matters.

I was also homeless living on the street literally after my divorced. With no family member to turn to I would go to every dumpster every day after my part time job, no one at work knew I was homeless. I would take a shower after everyone left. After one year I saved enough money to buy a car and lived in the car for 2 years after I found two full time jobs. I would only sleep for 4 hours every night, paid off my debts and saved enough to start my own business.
That’s what I did. My uncle and my aunt was sued by a homeless man for food poisoning so he claimed. I remembered my uncle and aunt used to feed this man every day even allowed him to clean himself in their restaurant restroom. Than a couple months past, the homeless man hired an attorney sue my aunt and uncle for food poisoning. My aunt and uncle lost and had close their restaurant and pay this homeless man over $240,000.00 a person like that man made a lot of kind people rethink about helping homeless individuals.
I didn’t get any help from anyone and I didn’t asked anyone for help. But I was focused on getting off the streets and never to let myself become homeless again. Today I own three successful businesses.
I had to live on what the food pantry could give me. After getting my life back together, I would buy food and donate it to the food pantry. I still do this to the day. If not food, money.
I can’t believe I sat here all that time to watch and listen to this, glad I did; it was a beautiful story❣️
