I love how everyone playing an ocean world seems to forget that dried kelp is a thing...
Is it weird I was the only one to remember lol. I had recently started a world that spawned me in the middle of an ocean and fed on kelp until I got other food sources haha
I just find the fact that you need to cook it as inconvenient for me, so I feed on drowns instead, as its hard to find coal
@Jan Sitkowski I only run from trident ones, and target fishing rod ones. I choose those drowns because they are melee, which you can lure to near above the ocean, and then kill them. I am used to killing drowns while unequipped, so I tend to take advantage of it
@Jan Sitkowski Plus the kelp needs fuel, and the hunger it fills makes me feel like its a waste of coal

The actual hardest seed is a glitch where you spawn in lava, with no edges to jump on to, so you just die. Literally impossible.

i dont remember what the seed is, but i watched someone escape that spawn. they used an old glitch where you could crouch by walking constantly into the corner of a block, and then slowly mined out with their fist im pretty sure

Difficulty has nothing to do with world generation. Only the seed determines that.

There is a seed where you spawn I lava but the next spawn is next to it.
I've honestly had more inconvenient spawns sadly..but they were an oddity
I got one in a modded playthrough on 1.12 where i spawned on an island with the nearest land being 16+ chunks away, real beautiful spawn tho

I think it goes back to the old Minecraft days. This may be totally wrong (couldn’t find the info on the wiki) but I seem to recall that charcoal was a lot less effective than coal I.e. it didn’t burn as long or cast as much light.
Coal is more efficient (coal blocks smelt 80 items) and doesn't require smelting something else just to get fuel (you have to put wood in a furnace, to get charcoal, when coal you just mine in the dozens then slap in the furnace and its ready to smelt or cook stuff) just to smelt another item..it's just more convenient until you can start mass filling your furnaces with lava (either from the nether or with newer updates dripstone farming lava for the furnaces).

Elinore Reichman-curnow honestly at the start of the game, an ocean monument would be bad. The loot is bad and the guardians and elder guardians are absolute hell to deal with

Minecraft isn't much harder or easier seed to seed. Most likely this guy could've just boated over to a mainland in like 20 mins and then done a normal run through

After all it can take really long to find a Nether Fortress if you are unlucky
@@ericmerlin1597 yeah they're are faster seeds, and you can get lucky and get diamonds or a 12 eye portal but there aren't really many hard seeds Ig. Ig Minecraft is made so u cant get that unlucky but u can get very lucky

It’s not impossible, you just need to find the second stronghold.
There are infinite strongholds they just generate a certain amount of blocks away from each other
It wouldn't matter anyway, because its on bedrock (unless java and bedrock share seeds)

As somebody that loves island seeds(?) I need to try this. (Also any seeds where you start near an ocean is easy for food imo. Kelp is easy to get, can grow into massive bunches. And fish usually swim around, and can drop bones, to grow more kelp lol)

Possibly. Or that might've been intentional, since I think swimming consumes hunger faster than treading water. Don't quote me on that, though.
It's possible he's saving for hunger or he's used to swimming like that because old versions of Minecraft didn't let you sprint while swimming. If you want to swim faster then you can just approach a nearby dolphin and use the "Dolphin's Grace" effect though. But I guess he didn't utilize that in the video which further proves my point that he's an old player like me. lol

In bedrock there is literally a seed where you fall into lava because you start in a ravine

OMG! This seed is perfect. I've been searching for a seed for an ocean survival world. I did what I called a build your own island world once on WiiU. By hand on survival I destroyed all the islands and brought them down to 2 or 3 blocks below water level. Even all trees were destroyed. No saplings. The only thing I allowed was the bonus chest for supplies. I kept the stuff in my inventory for when officially started playing that world. A lot of work for pure survival, lol. The best part of it was a large cave hole that went down and had grass blocks below water level for when I cleared away the land. So when i dug up dirt from under water I was able to build an island with grass to spawn animals and mobs.
I really wanted to do the same on Switch but where I had trees on that other world, I wanted to do a world where the only wood was from underwater. No help from spawn chest this time. I started to explore your seed and to my suprise I found a section where a hole was going down into ground with grass blocks below water level. I'll be able to build an island with grass. Nice. I'm going to destroy islands and trees by hand on pure survival and since the world is infinite, I'm only going to play within the map's boundaries. No cheating and going to distant islands for trees past the edge of the map. Thank you so much for this wonderful seed. I'm so glad you gave us the number. It's exactly what I've been looking for. I wish I could do a video on it, lol. It's going to be difficult but fun.
