Why we love Crystal River Florida! Its old Florida with its beautiful marsh landscapes, crystal clear springs, wildlife galore and so much more. You can swim with the manatees, take your family scalloping, venture out in to the Gulf of Mexico and do some epic fishing. The lists of outdoor activities such as kayaking, boating, hiking, eco tours will leave you with endless options to have fun and make the most beautiful memories with your family. Theres plenty of good food to be had in town as well some of our favorites were Cody's Roadhouse and The Boil Yard don't forget to try those out. We live in Florida, only about 3 hours away down I 75. Went there for the first time ever the last week of scallop season. Homosassa really, but we ended up driving up to Crystal River a couple times and after taking the boat out on Kings bay, having drinks at the Plantation Tiki, finding "down town," eating at a couple good restaurants, and socializing with the locals and out of towners, we left convinced that at a minimum we should buy a property there. Absolutely amazing place.

Agree! We've decided to leave Naples for Crystal River, we're packing up, just listed our home. Ready for smaller town life again.
