I've always appreciated whoever said "buying craft supplies and using them are two different hobbies." I know for you these are professional supplies, but I probably have just as much stuff with far less excuse!
A tension curtain rod and a few curtain panels would make a great addition to the new book shelf. Tie to the side for every day storage access. Let them down to hide the contents and pretty thing up for guests. LOVE WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL from across the pond in Alabama, USA.❤️👍🏻
I mean...the egg carton is neat and all but I prefer the "throw all the nuts and bolts in a big pile and cuss when I can't find what I need" method. Hahahaha! I'll definitely be keeping that in mind for the future. Thanks!
I cannot adequately express my joy at seeing your spare room. I find it so depressing that other people never seem to accumulate stuff like I do, despite regular decluttering. God, I miss charity shops! But I have cheered up no end now I've seen that even super-organized folk like you get clutter at times. Thank you Mr Carrington!
you probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Tanner Jameson i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I put a whole run of wardrobes up across one side of the bedroom and when all was finished, doors on and adjusted, screwed to the wall etc. I noticed when I stood back to drink in my marvellous achievement that.... I had screwed one of the little plinths on back to front and it was brown instead of white like everything else. I painted it to blend.
You’re like all my Dreams come true !!!! New Subscriber! I’ve think I’ve spent all weekend looking at you’re previous videos ! You’re super amazing you’ve given me motivation ! You’re so down to earth 🌍 too! You’re so price and up cycling mindful ! Iam going to try the tile painting next !!! Thankyou so much for this channel ! Ps I think you have such a beautiful calm voice too ! 💫😻
The eggbox for the screws is very clever! This is perfect use of a dead space. I'd pop a curtain over that matches the real curtain just to streamline visually.
What a great job of organising, well done. What is it about spare rooms? Ours is just a clutter magnet. The bookcase looks great and such a great idea using the shoe boxes (I'm going to borrow that idea if you don't mind) because they fit perfectly and are the ideal size to sort things by category. Whatever you need is always close to hand, so no more searching through drawers and boxes for twenty minutes, and the lids keep everything dust free too! Brilliant! Many thanks for sharing, your videos always brighten my day x Monday is the meteorological start of spring and only 4 weeks from tomorrow and the clocks change. Everything feels better in spring, the garden is already starting to wake up and the roses will be here in no time :) Have a wonderful weekend dear Mr Carrington, hugs always x
I live in Alaska, it is so dry here pretty much all year. I use a humidifier now and then. Static electricity gives us shocking personalities when we shake hands. Lol 😆 Very nice video, everything looks so nice and neat. Satisfying!
Hello Mr Carrington, Thank you for your inspiration to make a nice verb of your household chores, I feel much more like working in my house yourself, have a nice weekend
Using the egg carton is smart. I think making errors when putting things together (especially furniture) is common, I know I sure have done it, no matter how much prep I've put into it. Job very well done Mr. C ! tfs 🐤🌵🌱🌴💐🌷🌻🌞🏜️💗🐣💐🌷🌹🌸🐤🌵🌱🌴💐🌷🌻🌞🏜️💗🐣💐🌷🌹🌸
My 21 years old daughter entered my bedroom to help me fix something and I was watching your video. She said: that's nice what he is doing. Wow he has a nice voice. His voice is so soothing. I said: yes he could read anything and I wow calm down. She said: he's nit bad on the eye euther. 😂😂😂😂😂
Looks good I hate when I tidy up I don’t know if I’m getting old at 55 my back kills for me when I tidy up my craft room I miss is going to IKEA once IKEA is open again I’ll be up there thank you for sharing keep safe take care all the family 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😊
Love how your shelves turned out.I agree with putting flat box together ,it has happened to me on more than one occasion. It is satisfying when you have eliminated items and see empty space. Thanks for sharing.
The paints... if you have a spare tray you can put all the chalkpaints on it. The spray paints could have a tray or a shallow box (perhaps a box lid) to stand in. Than you can easy pull out the whole tray/box and see all paints.
All the shoe boxes look get and organised . In time if thou if you find that you don’t want to be looking at the shoe boxes with all bits and bobs in them , you could always put a curtain rod up along the top length of the bookcase and hang a piece of material up to cover it up.
I know right but it's a thing in Britain (& Ireland), it's sooooo damp. Almost all rentals have a black mold problem if the tenants don't air & heat the unit adequately, and most don't as they're afraid of electricity bills. We build with stone/brick/concrete so our buildings last, but need to be 'de-humidified' all through the damp & winter months. Also, because we don't use tumble dryers (for power use/cost reasons), we often dry our clothes on racks indoors, in winter & when it's raining. Other than that, we line dry. That folk would use need to use a 'humidifier' is quiet alien to us.
We were building a new kitchen but I couldn't get the hang of the flat pack instructions. Made me really fed up till I woke up one morning determined to at least make one cupboard. Went on you tube and never looked back. We had a 'cardboard carpet' for months!
I've had a Meaco de-humidifyer for about 3 years and can really recommend. I first got it for a flat I lived in that had no windows in the bathroom and was leading to damp/mould, but its great for my new victorian flat. Amazing how much moisture it gets out
Felt your frustration, I put a 6 drawer unit together, drawer runners were upside down 🤬, loved watching the transformation, decluttering is so satisfying x
Hehe! I have the same handheld label maker, it’s so useful. Defo looks great and very organised. I still can’t believe you found that champagne box! It’s brilliant. Great video Mr C 😀
Omg this is everything !!! I've been taking so much inspiration from you! I've been charity shopping for past year and half now (previous to lockdown) I have never owned real plants and I gave it a go I now have 8 plants in my living room 😄 🤣 😂. And your style is also my style you have so so many things in your home I also have ! Most your planters / frames and the tassel pillow i also have lol I also have the wicker starburst mirror you have lol 😆 I just love you Mr Carrington! I've just organised my fridge now I will be doing all my crafts ;) xx
I can learn a lot by following you Mr. C. We have a lot of spaces that need organization and we've lived in our new home for close 2 years now. Don't even know where to begin bcuz there's still chaos in a few places, but thank you for the ideas & motivation. Just a tip...I'd put up a small rod or wire with a curtain to cover the shelves and boxes so no one can see them. Thanks for sharing as always. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 😊❄💜
What a transformation, what my sister calls solutions! I have recently re-arranged my craft space in my office by putting up one of those grid things with snap on tubs, perfect for all my craft tools and now all easy at hand when I need them. Amazing what you can do with a simple solution like a book shelf or storage system. BTW, I also have tons of tape of variousl sizes! I seriously think tape just sneaks in the house while you are asleep! Thanks for sharing your ideas!
"something about flat pack that tips me over the edge"...😂 Oh Iwan, I hear you my friend!! Mind you, watching I was thinking how well it was going & loved your eggbox organisation of screws and tiny parts. Great video 👌 x
Those bookshelves from Argos are brilliant for the price. I've had the deep version and a narrower version in wood effect for nearly 3 years with loads of heavy books on and they're still going strong. I have a dehumidifer too, I find them great for drying washing without making the house damp in Winter.
I’ve got a dehumidifier to dry my washing in the winter. At first I had it in the spare room and it did dry a bit quicker but not much. Then I moved it to my tiny utility room and now it dries the clothes really really quick. Got to keep the door to the room shut though.
It’s so funny to hear someone say the need a dehumidifier because living in western Canada, we have two humidifiers in our condo going 24/7. Great job organizing; the space looks fantastic. I’ve just completed an organizing project in our condo and it really feels good to know what you have and where to find it; I too was buying items that I already had but had forgotten that I had them.
I can totally relate to your frustration for flat pack furniture! I recently put that very same bookshelf together but it took me ages and, of course, I went wrong too! Glad to see you have some clutter in your place - never thought I’d see that of you as you’re so organised! Looking good now but I would hide it with something too.
Completely relate to your flat pack building feelings of being 'tipped over the edge' to the point of hysteria 😂😂 I too am guaranteed to attach at least one thing the wrong way round or in the wrong place every blimmin' time!!
Hello from USA Iowa. Found you through You Tuber Catherine on, 'Dainty Diaries'. She gave you credit for inspiring her to raise her computer screen and tidy her desk! Your organization is impressive. Looks great! Motivates me for sure!
Hi Mr C, I'm de-cluttering our storage cupboards on our landing at minute, iv'e bought some storage boxes and i'm going to tackle it today, you have done a good job there, thanks for sharing and you got yourself a thumbs up from me as always xx
It's looking good Mr C! Good to see another spare room that gets cluttered! Have you thought about exchanging the bed for a chair bed? Gives you more space and versatility. My spare room was transformed when I put a good sofa bed in it.(Just needs a tidy up!)
Awesome job Mr C!!! I have finally caught up with your videos 👍🏻. I finished paining my house and have decluttered!!! Next will be organizing basement😝. Cheers 👋🏻🇨🇦😉
Hi Mr C loving this look .. just fab it's always good when you can lay your hands on them bits and bobs .. I'm longing for the chairty shop to open or something as I have some furniture to get rid of .. I best pop my tea on .. have a lovely evening XX 🙌💐

Brass hook for the lamp would be good or just stay the bracket black to match the lamp. it'll look like it's part of the lamp. Love the organization!!! ❤️❤️
I have a Meaco dehumidifier and I would recommend them, I found it really helped with removing moisture from the air from drying clothes indoors. It also helped the clothes dry faster. I was always amazed by the amount of water it collected.

Such a fab way of making use of the space Iwan. I bet it feels so satisfying now you've got that done. I really need to get organised as my spare room is cram packed with clothes and bags and shoes etc etc.... I've so much stuff accumulated over time, most no longer fit's or gets used. I love a decluttering video, probably because I'm nutoriously bad at doing it myself, I just 'pile' things! And of course it wouldn't be a Carrington classic without some diy - even if you happen to put it on backwards!
Great video brilliant storage solutions. I have dehumidifier and I bought it many years ago from Lidl it has been so brilliant as my bungalow was always getting black mould around the windows and it has cured it all. Looks great, I will be doing the same with shelves. Getting containers and will be sorting all my craft items. Love your ideas. Thanks, be safe.
I love watching this type of video because it gives me that visual push to sort that cupboard that's been waiting for a long time to be sorted 😁
I'm so glad!

Really impressed with the job you did organising your office
/ spare room. Great job Iwan. Love watching your decluttering and organising videos
Love how your shelves turned out.I agree with putting flat box together ,it has happened to me on more than one occasion. It is satisfying when you have eliminated items and see empty space. Thanks for sharing.
Ooooh! You could leave all those containers to dry next to the dehumidifier ...
I'd pop a curtain over the shelves so it hides the boxes, looks minimal and you can draw the curtain across when you want to retrieve something
Or a roller blind they are so easy to fit these days and you can often find a bargain
The paints... if you have a spare tray you can put all the chalkpaints on it. The spray paints could have a tray or a shallow box (perhaps a box lid) to stand in. Than you can easy pull out the whole tray/box and see all paints.

Hi
Love your organisation. I know what you mean when you have doubles of something. It's a case of 'where is it? Oh I'll buy another.'

Awesome job Mr C!!! I have finally caught up with your videos 👍🏻. I finished paining my house and have decluttered!!! Next will be organizing basement😝. Cheers 👋🏻🇨🇦😉

May I say a job well done Mr C xxx

WOW! Great job!!!
Started sorting my crafting/dressmaking stuff out and discovered I had 25 pairs of scissors 😀 Love the egg box idea.

Looks amazing! Excellent job! Come to America and do mine Lol.
Such a fab way of making use of the space Iwan. I bet it feels so satisfying now you've got that done. I really need to get organised as my spare room is cram packed with clothes and bags and shoes etc etc.... I've so much stuff accumulated over time, most no longer fit's or gets used. So need a serious sort out!!!! Just need to get motivated, which I'm finding very difficult to find😕Thanks for a great video👍 😀

Hearing the dehumidifier can dry clothes had me sold. Will look into it as I have been using unibond disks instead. Great video by the way.
Dehumidifiers are brill i got 2 one downstairs and one upstairs i wouldn't be without mine .great to dry my washing
So satisfying to watch! There's always that sense of a job well done after such a project.
Looks brilliant 👏
I love a decluttering video, probably because I'm nutoriously bad at doing it myself, I just 'pile' things! And of course it wouldn't be a Carrington classic without some diy - even if you happen to put it on backwards!
Great video brilliant storage solutions.
I have dehumidifier and I bought it many years ago from Lidl it has been so brilliant as my bungalow was always getting black mould around the windows and it has cured it all.
I just use when cooking or at night if the temps drop too much.
I need to declutter my craft room now just such a big job I am not looking forward to it.
I make cards and blog them usually for family and friends.
Very good job, when you have extra space you know you done very well! Knew the labels were coming out LOL!
Great video .😎🥰
Organizing and reorganizing is my favorite thing. I call it therapy LOL. Did you get refreshed peaceful feeling I know that things are where they should be when your in need for them. A lot easier to find.. thank you for sharing. And God bless💙
Hi mr c good job 👍
Nice one Mr. C . But thanks to you I am now clearing up my office space and I am currently surrounded by mini storage boxes and chaos . Have you ever started something and thought .... WHY DID I DO THIS ? lol
I like how you stored your gift bags. Smart! Have a great day!
You could use a tension curtain rod across the bottom section of the bookshelves and put in paper rolls or other tall supplies.
Great job
Thanks for this. You've definitely inspired me to get my stuff organised.
For your paints and sprays, you could always do a swatch/paint sample so you can see what you have without having to pull out all the tins x
Love how you organized everything!!! Well done!!!!!
Worked out well, I do like a bit of reorganising and storage. It is amazing the stuff you find (like the Sellotape) that you forgot you had.
