    Hello, Cassondra! I've been watching many of your videos, Yellowknife can be so underrated sometimes! I have a question about trades, carpentry that is, would you say there's much building over there? Is the trade more active towards renovation or similar? Is more of a seasonal thing? Thank you for your videos, hope you and your family are doing great :)

    Thanks very for that beautiful video. Whenever you are planning to go outside like that, you can use google earth map to get exact location. You can invest in a compass. Is the terrain mountainous, and does it have forests?

    • @LifeinYellowknife
      @LifeinYellowknife  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you! So, we often don't have service but we do have a compass. The problem is when we lose the trail it's really hard to make it through the thick forests or marshes or whatever. When I say we are lost I just mean we've lost the trail. Chris said there is something we need to get that will show us all the trails offline though, I think that's def worth investing in for sure! The terrain is both! lol!

I’m not sure it’s the same there but lol!!!!! Def in the province we are from the nurse practitioners make like 80-100K so it can very in Canada hahahaha

    • @LifeinYellowknife
      @LifeinYellowknife  Před 3 lety

      Best of luck with the move! You’re moving at the coldest time so you’ll need it! Haha!! It depends I think on what job you’re trying to get. I’m pretty sure Chris said that they are not really hiring nurses right now (I think just because of covid stuff) so that may impact you a little. It might be best to get a job before moving? I don’t know what your field is. I do a Yellowknife by month series so that you can see the weather in each month and other things. I have a playlist called Yellowknife every month that you should check out! You’ll see the one starting in May still has snow. :-)

      Nehan Ghimiray I would think so. I’m sure they try to hire from within Canada first because it probably costs more and takes longer to deal with all the legal stuff I imagine? I’m totally guessing though as I have no experience with it.

    • @LifeinYellowknife
      @LifeinYellowknife  Před 3 lety

      No, I'm getting that question a lot lately! No, there is no contract. The only thing that is sort of like that is that they pay for your move and if you don't stay one year you have to pay it all back. And it's a lot of money! They'll also pay for you to move back to where ever you're from if you stay a certain amount of years though, so maybe that's three? I forget!
