Catania Sicily solo travel vlog, pistachio pastries heaven, best city views, Italy’s amazing gems

Thank you so much everyone for watching, have you been to Catania? Catania is an ancient port city on Sicily's east coast. It sits at the foot of Mt. Etna, an active volcano with trails leading up to the summit. The city's wide central square, Piazza del Duomo, features the whimsical Fontana dell'Elefante statue and richly decorated Catania Cathedral. In the southwest corner of the square, La Pescheria weekday fish market is a rowdy spectacle surrounded by seafood restaurants. Catania has the best pistachio pastries in the world and the best pistachio ice cream. The churches and the palaces are stunning and the baroque architecture will amaze you. Stayed in the most beautiful luxury bed and breakfast in the historical center in Catania and loved every second. Solo travelling in Catania was amazing and I definitely need to come back for the Etna mountains and Palazzo Biscari. What have I missed in Catania? Would you like to travel here? 👋 hello...I have a choice to move to catania for work. I'm currently in America. Would you recommend? Didnt see alot of trash displayed in your video. Anything i need to be aware of?

Hi❤️thanks for watching ❤️I haven’t see trash honestly, there is trash around the markets and especially after people leave until they clean but overall I’ve been in lots of areas outside the centre too and it was pretty clean and safe, at least that’s what I’ve experienced. Catania has a bad reputation but I loved it, it’s different if you live there probably but I think it would be a great life experience for you and you’ll learn so much. You should be aware of the bureaucracy probably as I know things are very slow in South when it comes to services and documents, I found people nice, warm and friendly. Maybe avoid walking alone at night, I didn’t so that, or at least Google the dangerous areas where is robbery and avoid those.
