Every video that I see the center snare in - he looks so UNFAZED by what they're playing. It's awesome!!
That's how it should be when your chops are right... You should actually get more energy as you play, not less. The sticks be doin all the work and my mans is doing it right.
I don’t think people appreciate how wicked hard it is to do those stuttered rolls Colin writes. To stop a restart the hands in a middle of a low fast roll without changing the pressure in the hands so SO HARD and those guy and girls in the flats are so consistently good at them. It’s unreal. The pinnacle of world class talent
you mean in the opener where the triplet roll breaks up? That is pretty cool. Not too too hard if you just think about placing another rolled note in between the 2 and not stop the moving hand
The low end clarity from everyone on this line is god tier
Dear lord that snare line
This has to be the best line in history, yeah? Everything is so hard, so clean, and so cool. I don't think I've ever heard a bass line that's even in the neighborhood of this one.
The last time I saw Boston Crusaders was in 2008 so imagine my surprise watching this video
@@evanleima4191 Well, I am old and I am more referring to the late nineties. :) :) :)
Been following the activity since 1982. I have seen lines get better and better. This is unbelievable.
People getting hype at all the big stuff, but not the snares inner beats. Holy clean
I can practically see puffs of air from how locked in the vertical alignment is!!!
Fam we were all listening to the low stuff and laughing at how good it was… at least those of us down in front were
I never thought I'd say this but yea, could be the best line in history.
is it just me or that pearl carbon fibre drums are so good !! damn the sound so big !!!
These aren’t even the carbon core drums… just the standard maple! Insane!!!
@@Ridebmx34521 I'm guessing they sound so good BECAUSE they're maple.... and of course because they're Pearls
6:15 is the most seamless break and re-entry I’ve ever seen. Had to rewatch a few times to be sure I wasn’t seeing things.
This might be the best drumline i have ever heard
We were there before the full battery moment, and the snares had a 12" rolls exercise that was immaculate, I'm talking no ticks or over balancing or interpretation inaccuracies, it was the most beautiful thing
I went from hearing this corps very early season to hearing them at semis and being absolutely blown away by the change in skill and the improvement.
love the low stuff shifting in sticking, love the ballsy double stop shots, love the full choppy open rolls, fast rolls and 4s. just a treat
This 2022 drumline always looked focused, intense, and ready for the moment! And they played like it too! .4 tenths from winning the DCI Drum Trophy... Looking forward to these guys in 2023 and beyond. ✌️🥁😎🤗
Drummers know how good this line is. One of the best lines ever.
this. this right here. this is it.
This is the best Battery I have ever seen. The hype in this lot alone should tell you how good they are
It really doesn’t get better than this.
what the actual hell... the standard for DCI drum line just never stops rising...
The BOOK brings me to TEARS!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT
Holy, this has to be one of the cleanest drumlines I think I've heard. Incredible playing
Drum break writing is really clever and fits the snake motif of the music so well. This snare line is bonkers
Disrespectfully clean.
I love that you can tell it’s Colin in the front just by his signature hand/arm movements.
This is my pre workout
This is the best lot video I've ever seen
Awesome book and hands. Some serious drumline hype going on 👏👏👏👏
Their technique and the style of these rams reminds me alot of mid to late 90's BD.
Colin wasn’t playing around this year. Sanford tier stuff right here.
You know what’s even more hype is that most of this talent is returning next season
everything ab this is iconic
There needs to be separate battery/front sub captions and/or a field judge.
Colin is the best writer in DCI and it's not even close.
It seems everyone's saying it and I'm going to mirror (most of) it...this, hands down, might be one of the raddest drumlines in history. A beefy book - SO MANY notes! - being cleaning executed. Can't wait to see them at Finals!
As a side note - there are things they're doing that are helping their execution. They're playing most of the high velocity passages at very low levels. When I was in HS, we had a competing drumline that did this (Castle Park from Chula Vista), from roll passages to singles, but I always loved it because they're were clean and the book was exciting!
That said, I watched a video of the Atlanta show and I think on the move BD was cleaner. More, I think BD has a tougher book in terms of rhythmic and rudimental variance, but I absolutely LOVE what Boston is doing this year and the enthusiasm they're generating. Drumline is THE BEST!! :D
I think this might be my favorite line to date. Just insane
BAC killing it.
GOD TIER.
I love this Drumline but I still can’t get over how the tenors seem to be holding them back a bit. Some great exposed moments for the quads for sure, but the snare/bass sections sound more mature and achieve more consistently. If the tenors reach full potential, this Drumline will be one of the best of all time unequivocally.
I mean, they’re superior. No question. And waaaaay better than any Colin Drumline I ever marched in. Of course, he’s writing the best beats of his career these days. That’s for sure.
Been thinking the same thing all season. Snares have that Colin sound quality figured out. Although, I haven't seen them on field. In any case, this book is just bonkers! Love it.
I agree. The snake feature just seems to be way too long and difficult for the quads.
@@DatGuyWithNoName They will get it and it will be tight at finals, without a doubt. Very difficult and demanding book, and the errors sound mental to me. So, a little more seasoning and some hard earned reps, and I think 🤔… you know, they’ll be great.
Possibly the best battery section ever
YESSSIRRRRR
This line reminds me of the 98' Devils. Pure perfection. Robbed at finals. Shame on DCI for sidelining the drum judge because of money.
NEVER FORGOTTEN
Dang front ensemble causing 3rd in percussion
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
🔥🎶🔥🎶🔥🎶🔥
Snappy!
Holy balls
This is the cleanest I’ve heard a line in forever! Please tell me they won best line
No way this group is 3rd….no way. There must be something up with the front ensemble….or they started a fire on the field and got points deducted.
Or Jeff Ausdemore (Bluecoats megasimp) was the judge for the competition
There's been a lot of great drumlines in our corps history 👏🙌but this line is really 👌the best drumline in the history of the corps known as bac, I thank you for the hard work you all put into this year 👍I send much love and respect to the Boston crusaders 2022 drumlines corps is made of giants and this one is standing tall. Bac forever ♥❤💙
What are they on and where can I get some
FUCKING CRAZY
6:20 is so satisfying
how do the dci lots work? do you just have to be lucky with where you are and hope you catch a band you like or are there set times each band is in a specific area? i’m going to the allentown performance in august and it’s my first time going to a dci performance
I swear this line has the same energy as Phantom 2010 PROVE ME WRONG
I’ll always respect a clean recovery 6:15. Good Shit whoever you are lol
great writing makes it an easy decision to play great.
Anybody have sheets lol
Best drum line ever?
Clean beats only. It’s that simple
Emc?
I really hope they defeat Blue Devils, they just seem better in every way to me
Seems to me the Sanford will depend on who is actually judging finals.
Some tend to lean toward west coast and some east. Just sayin' based
on observation.
🥁
Christ
3rd in drums, what a joke
Yeah they probably should up the difficulty on their front ensemble stuff. That’s what’s getting them Behind I think. You can see it in the sheets. Cont 3rd achiev 1st. It’s obviously the front ensemble. Ask yourself, how many front ensemble videos of Boston have you seen lol. The battery is undeniably the best battery in the history of drum corps. And they might be so good they drag the percussion ensemble to the sanford trophy.
tf were they on this year? 😂😂
As good as they have been, this is a bit sloppy at times. I hate to say it but the tenors are holding this line back.
As someone else said in the comments, the ticks seem to be purely mental. By finals they should have the confidence to nail it.
@@subbot8077 it would seem they unfortunately did not nail it. 4th in drums says something.
@@trevorwoolley7432 even tho the line wasn't perfect, the front ensemble weighs into this
looks like a lot of twitter bots here in the comments. drunk crowds will hype anything, and you’re letting their hype make you think it’s clean. like every time the quads play a scape it’s basically a guaranteed rim, and people think this is the best battery ever? bots.
This video really doesn't do the line justice. Honestly the tenors were a little sloppy in this video but there are plenty of videos of them ramming through their quad break without rim ticks
I think a majority of the drum community knows this a drumline that will go down in history. Beyond wild how good everything they do is
Exxxxactly
I agree, but in drum corps it has to go beyond the lot. SCV still has something to say about that.
Your right, at finals they went down! History.
score it how ya want, everyone wants to be part of this
@@veot.2869you’re forgetting front ensemble affects percussion scores...
