The other day I accidentally went to the wrong store. I mapped out the wrong goodwill and at first I was annoyed cuz it was small and raggedy lol -- *but then* I found the most amazing, silk, patchwork, quilted jacket! 🌟💃🏻
It was meant to be!!!

I have had the best luck at small thrift stores! And it's worth going through every rack just to find that one great piece! Also, IMO I get overwhelmed at huge stores because there is SO MUCH to look through. In those cases I pick my favorite sections and focus on those! :)
You have influenced my thrifting. Please more of the shop the runway. Not just Gucci but what about McQueen or other designers.

I love getting dressed and going thrifting! The community there is always so nice and I get so many compliments.
Yes, more than anything I miss the community! I always end up having fun styling up (and getting styled) the fellow thrifters in store.
I think you could include more specific tips in a future video: eg look for some basics, not just the most extravagant pieces / be open to buy sth that needs some adjustments / look for specific brands (with examples) / pay attention to the fabrics (quality over design) / buy things that you imagine worn with at least 3 outfits out of your existing closet.
Best thing in the day to thrift with you. This is over the top inspiration. I'm not in love with "Gucci or Gold Goodness" but I'm a major fan of "get down to it thrift shopping"! You did it today!!

I’m really inspired by everything you do! And I’m not into vintage but at all (though I’m really into second hand!) and I’m not into maximalist style either but you do it so so well! Oh Today I saw this well dressed 80's Vibe Chic here in the Midwest She was rocking it hard core floral long jacket, Lace under shirt Braided leather loafers, We just looked at each other as I was Western vibes today.

I set myself up for thrifting by wearing comfy shoes (with arch support lol), a light jacket with large pockets (chore coats are great) for my phone and keys, and I ditch my winter coat in the winter. No one likes to sweat while thrifting!

Not a bad thrifting trip! :) love your finds! You should go thrifting at Deja New in Irvine one of these days! It’s one of my favorite stores and all proceeds go to helping women find employment! I’ve found gems in there at such good prices!

I’ve NEVER thrifted with an outfit like that! Love your tips, but as an avid thrifter, I’m usually in a dress or leggings and tunic so I can slip things on and off easily. Usually no fitting rooms exist!

"Cracking me up" with the cracked phone screen...at least your phone still works! I am getting rid of my super-long, super-wide pants that I have had since the 80s because I hate dragging my pants hems in the dirt/water/snow. Maybe someone else can use them. YES KRYSTAL HOT SAUCE IT THE VERY BEST!!!! I tell every one about it.I’ve been using that brand for over 20 years.. Love It! Pro hot sauce tip if you like chicken wings. Butter, Krystal hot sauce, pepper, salt and garlic powder.Yum

When you buy leather or suede jackets what do you do to clean them- or do you just bite the bullet and wear them or have them professionally cleaned (which TOTALLY cancels out the bargain of a thrifted piece...) Really interested in your input- THANKS ❗️🙂❗️
I don't usually worry about having them cleaned.
@@bjonesstyle Thank you for your reply- Longtime thrifter here- I still worry about the “ick, where have they been?!?” Factor but have taken to hanging them in my backyard inside out for a really good airing out- it’s 27 degrees here today (Upstate NY) and brutally windy so that’s perfect for my needs- thrifted a near perfect condition 1970’s cinnamon coloured thick suede bomber jacket that is blowing about now in the backyard- Day 3 I think... 😜😜😜❗️
Hey Hey: If I can’t wash something (wool coats, etc.) I put them in the dryer on gentle for 20 minutes minimum. That’s enough time to destroy any bugs or icky things. I haven’t ruined anything yet!

Waiting for your Answer/Opinion of what you do when buying a thrifted leather or suede jacket... ❗️❗️❗️
For cleaning? With leather (I don't normally get suede), I use leather cleaner for the exterior (u can find it at walmart or anywhere) and the inside lining i steam and spray with Lysol. I think u can even clean the outside with warm water and soap. Doing it urself is waaaay cheaper than dry cleaning.
@@itstrinitykaye Thanks for your input- a baby wipe can be used to go over leather (google it) and I like the Steam idea but AEROSOL SPRAY?!? NO, NIX, NYET❗️Just thrifted a FAB 1970’s Excellent condition Cinnamon coloured Thick Suede Bomber jacket that is currently on DAY 3 of being INSIDE OUT on a hanger in my backyard in Upstate NY where it is presently 28F and BRUTALLY WINDY 🌬 which I’ll take😊❗️

You didn’t seem inspired by what you purchased. Or maybe I didn’t feel inspired.
Honestly the same is about me. I feel that it was fun at first when sustainability was put first with low prices. But now i feel that she buys so-so much that it becomes even more than an average person will purchase from a non-thrifting store monthly. It has lost it value, in my view. The same thing in dramatically many colors, textures, patterns. I have started feeling overwhelmed, i guess.

You need pay more attention when buying clothing from trift store they has strains holes some are dirty am buyed some cat plates trift store in my thowan not have beautiful stuff most are garbage allots shoppers plus trift store are so expensive hings prices am buy for less money

Never have complaints to your videos but the lighting in this video was awful to dark could hardly see anything.
I really tried to watch all of your video but just couldn't stomach it. Your clothes actually everything WOW and NOT in a good way. Just goes to show how different we all are
