That is correct. The new machines are smart material compatible. You do not need a mat to cut these. Cutting mats are sold separately.
What would be the benefits of getting a mat?
@@coachsandoval You would need a mat for cardstock, non-smart vinyl, or vinyl pieces that are too small.
