They just had it all, didn't they? What I love about this collection of tunes is how much it highlights the fact that behind all the swagger and the brash, bad boy image, Oasis had a real vulnerability about them- a vulnerability that people can relate to and that really speaks to me. I'm only in my early twenties but I've resigned myself to the belief that there will never be another band that moves me the way Oasis does.

Nah. It's better left as memories. I went to loads of oasis gigs in the 90s and noughties they were amazing. They could never re-create that. Ever.

I don't think Liam's voice can be bettered on Live Forever. When he sings the chorus I just think wow, utter perfection.
R u kidding? His voice breaks badly on the high notes......he just can't reach em. His voice sounds good in the verses b'coz it's comfortably within his vocal range BUT the chorus's r cringe worthy.
Liam could do the high notes really well in 1994.
I like his voice breaking a little during the chorus.... Let's you know it was live even noels bits aren't great.... Amazing what a bit old production does to add the finishing coat

Liam's voice is simply unique. You can tell the difference between when Liam sings and Noel sings. Can not stop myself from clicking back to the beginning...

It's awesome that Noel sings Cast no shadow in first person! I mean I always thought that in that song he was refering to himself but its great that he actually sing it
to be honest, i like the acoustic better than the album. you can feel the rawness and power in Noel's guitar and Liam's voice.
In 50 years everyone will appreciate how amazing this band was and furthermore how Noel is one of the single greatest writers / artist of all time

I'd agree 'Goal Hanger's' comment below, vulnerable but insanely good. Everyone just thinks of the press, and the perceived image of being louts, but you look at video's like this on youtube and you can see that they had talent. Liams vocals are the best for the last 35 or so years in British rock n roll.

you cant compare noel & liam... they are both ingredients... I love liam's voice & personality & noel's never ending musical geniousnessness... Nobody loves singing to Oasis like me... Rockin chair is my fav track... Beast.

We had the best before 2000 oasis, radiohead, blur, ocean colour scene, the verve,nirvana,metalica,rem, pixies,placebo, and many more before them that influenced are perents/grandperents and the bands we grow up listening too.Such as the who, the jam rollinging stones,pink floyd,eric clapton,david bowie the smiths,the doors,jimmy hendrix etc real bands/artists that sang for all not just one crowd of people about things that were meaningfull and they werent scared to point out the worlds flaws or be political to how society or a person felt they were experiencing in a whole over album sales in a way you cant blame the post 2000 generation for not being exposed to real talent but can blame such bullshit as x factor for the way its made way for how the music industry is now influenced by men in suits with album sales as the main incientives hoodwinking todays young just to be thrown to the side when its run its sales course real music will go from one generation to another unlike todays shit (aged 35)

i think i actually always prefered the acoustic versions even going back to mtv unplugged although that was just noel on vocals...but just how good does liam sound on some of this stuff and you really hear how good the melodys are.
