- Hi all and welcome back to another vlog from yours truly! This week I've sewn another make from Tilly's book "Make it Simple"...The Tabitha Dress! The dress is an add-on option to the Tabitha t-shirt that's featured in the book. As with all Tilly's patterns, the instructions were super simple to follow and perfect for a beginner to follow.
I made the t-shirt in Tilly's size 5 (UK 14) the skirt is drafted to fit your measurements.
Fabric used is a viscose textured jersey.

Looks amazing great job! Just found you on CZcams and Instagram. Can’t wait for more sew alongs.
Oh thankyou! 😁 Xx
The dress came out relay well you look lovely in it and I love the final photos and styling!
Oh thankyou so much! ❤️
I have wanted to make this for ages but I prefer to see how it is done rather than read the instructions, it's very helpful thanks so much for sharing. Love the fabric by the way.
I'm exactly the same! Before i buy a new pattern, I search on here first to see how it comes together. I prefer to follow a video than follow instruction book x
Hi, great sewalong thanks and the dress looks fab. We’ve started our CZcams journey at the same time by the looks of it! 😅
Love your honesty re not pre reading the pattern. I am in the middle of making this dress, hope mine turns out as lovely as yours.❤
I'm terrible for not pre reading the pattern before starting 😂. It's something I need to work on! I do love my tabitha dress. I plan on making lots more! Please let me know how yours turns out! ❤️
Looks great & thank you for sharing all your thoughts & tips. I’m just tracing off the pattern for the t-shirt & pjs & graded a little between the sizes shown after looking as the finished sizes. Your dress looks super but not sure I would make it as don’t often wear dresses.😊
Looks fab and thanks for the video. I'm preparing to make this atm x
Oooo let me know how it turns out! X
I love your fabric choice and beautiful dress.
Well done! I have this book and eyeing this pattern. You’ve encouraged me to sew one up now for spring!
Oooo yes... Do it! 😁 Xx
Great result and the colour is perfect 😄
Did you interface behind your buttonholes? I use a stretch interface for jersey. Brilliant. No puckers
Ah! I didn't no but I will buy some so I have it at hand for next time. Thanks for the tip 👍 x
@@gen_in_stitches you're very welcome. Just things you pick up over the years. Gives a lovely finish
Looks awesome!! I am so excited to see this on you bc now I want to make it! How much fabric did you end up using?
Oh thankyou! I used about 2.5 metres for this dress xx
@@gen_in_stitches thank you!!

I love it ❤I have the book I will try this
This is one of my fave patterns! I love the fabric you used so much!
You could have put some interfacing behind the buttonholes to stabilize them. Good job though xx it looks great.
Yes I never thought at the time. I'll do it on the next ine deffinatly x
I was just coming to say this 👍🏻👍🏻☺️
Thankyou ❤️
Dress looks great and colourway is flattering!Am interested in your sewing machine brand....new to me...vintage?
Oh thankyou! My sewing machine is a necchi heavy duty q132a. ☺️
Can I ask where you got your fabric from please.
Hiya, it was from pound a metre but sometime last year. I'm not sure if they still have it. It's a textured jersey x
How make skirt pattern x
