- In Part #2 of my 'introduction to Private Equity & Venture Capital, I focus on the details of fund formation, i.e. we explain how those investment vehicles are raised, who the players are in the private equity space, etc.
The focus is on the lifecylce of those funds - from fundraising and deal sourcing to investment and exit phase. We explain the concept of the J-curve, the '2+20' fee structure, including the concept of carried interest.

One question - Is PE life cycle remains same for growth capital or venture capital investments?
pretty much - in terms of fund structure, investment flow etc . In terms of holding period Growth Equity is similar to PE. WHile VCs often hold their investments longer.
Apart from M&A, secondary market share sales, IPOs, what are the other strategies a VC can deploy in current times to improve their DPI?
For a given portfolio, short of focusing on exits thats it. I assume M&A refers to sale to strategics. Create valuable portfolio companies & demand will rise.

i would search under the larger investors websites (Sofinova is one) - they tend to publish quite a bit on their research. Hope this helps
