Clarence got way to much hate, I loved this show since how down to earth it is. It’s a reflection of people’s childhoods. Still glad it’s getting the attention it deserved

What I think is interesting about clarence’s ending, is how the school building got destroyed by a Bulldozer, and when sumo moves to that school, clarences leaves a random Bulldozer running and never stops it. What is even more interesting though is how in one of the episodes after that (I don’t remember which one) you can see a random bulldozer in the background just driving for no reason, so I think that that is the same bulldozer that Clarence left running, and it eventually destroyed Sumo’s school. Weird thing about this is that I’ve never seen anybody go over it for some reason.
Just goes to show that the small details will eventually be prominent.

I love how in the show everything is gross and dirty, but as a kid you really never considered how filthy everything was ,you where just trying to have as much fun as possible
The lore of this show is deeper than I thought and I am not complaining
Never forget how they pulled off an american psycho reference with Jeff and it fit perfectly.
I really don't know why as an adulting man, I'm still obsessed with this show. Glad he mentioned about "Reminding us of our childhood".

Show was underrated for sure! Kids who watch this and relates deeply to the scenes really have had a special place for this cartoon in their hearts like I do.
This show really grew on me over time. I never cared for it when it first aired but after watching some reruns a few years ago I realized just how laid back and fun it really was

i honestly enjoyed clarence. it had its fun and interesting moments. i can see how some might see it as annoying and maybe the art style as 'bad', but my brothers and i really found it entertaining. i always wondered what happened to the show, since i just remember one day that they stopped airing new episodes and never really hearing about a final one (only ever rumors that it was cancelled, which is true). its good to know how the show MAY have ended at least now.
This made me realize that Clarence had WAY deeper lore than I thought...
The episode with the Clarence dollars really sold this show to me as not just another average cartoon. Literally taught children about hyperinflation

I think it'd be great if you'd make a "Why you should watch ..." format in the same style you make these recaps: with hundreds of cartoons upon to choose from you inevitably end up skipping over some gems here and there and a "Why you should watch ..." format would really help in that sense (for instance I heard of Clarence before but I never heard of Over the Garden Wall);

This is my all time favorite show. I have seen every episode and season multiple times. I am so sad people don’t give it the hype it deserves. If you actually watch it not only does it have good comedy but very good meaningful and good points. Also I’m very upset they took it off of HBO max, very disappointing 😔

This is a gem in my recommendation I've always pondered the lore of clearance.
I didn't realize how dark this show was. Like damn, Jeff paralyzed that kidz Clarence's dead brother, the man from hell. Also the show takes place in Arizona. As a Arizonaian, I remember them talking about a place in their town or something, it was the water park episode where the slide just broke and killed all those kids, whatever I remember them mentioning something along the lines of a town and I was like "Holy crap the show takes place in Arizona". That's kind of weird as someone who lives in Arizona and because Arizona is only ever mentioned as a joke in shows or just referenced because of The Grand Canyon

Always loved clarence because it was just kids being kids, but I didn't know someone could find such deep meaning in the show
Being a child that can do anything without being concerned of anything was the best thing back when we were still young and unaware of some stuff that much. And now that I am a grown male, I realized how much those times were meant to me. Things that can never brought back. I hoping that kids these days enjoy their life as a kid becuase it does not last forever. May everyone find the joy and meaning to their life forever.

Imo i absolutely loved the first episode, it was so chill, had such good vibes and clarence wasn't an obnoxious and oblivious asshole like in the rest of the show, quite the opposite, he was kind, considerate, he was not the smartest but he showed it in such a silly way that it really was charming.
But then he just became the most annoying oblivious bastard in the whole town, and the worst part was that he would get away with doing such horrible things:
- destroying jeff's toy
-breaking into another family's attic and tearing a hole in it,
- pestering benson while he was literally IN THE HOSPITAL just to then kidnap him, drive him through the entire hospital and then RAM his bed into a set of locked doors, getting them both in full sets of casts, NOT TO MENTION THAT HE KEPT PESTERING HIM AFTERWARDS as he couldn't even move)
-Potentially paralyzing Gilben(this one's a theory but in the 1st episode gilben is fine and moving then clarence pushes him and he falls into his iconic pose, just to hold it for the rest of his days)
And it's not even his fault, everyone around him just dismisses every misguided deed he does, so he never learns to actually f*cking listen to what others tell him and understand why he's not helping. NO, they're all ok with whatever he does because "Oh, Clarence". that's it, he doesn't grow, he doesn't learn anything, he never goes back to being the sweetheart he was at the beginning, he just stays this obnoxious apathetic kid who was never taught that others feel thing apart from joy and happiness, so he assumes everyone feels just like him and will respond just like he would to anything he does.
Tl;dr: my boy clarence was a good kid on ep1 then he became beyond annoying and noone did anything about it.
I never watched the show, but from clips and stuff I knew weird things were in the show...this proved it haha

The episodes that included Balance and Jeremy along with the one with the little buddy doll were crys for help around the middle of season 1 the creator and voice actor of Clarence,Skyler Page got a disorder which made him go crazy and see stuff that weren’t real that’s why after season 1 Clarence sounds different cause his voice actor had to be swapped,Skyler Page saw different personalities of himself and put them in the show as a cry for help
