  • Here are many example equations, so you can get lots of practice classifying them into the major types of chemical equations. In the video, we'll look at examples of synthesis, decomposition, combustion, single replacement and double replacement. The last two reactions are sometimes referred to as single displacement and double displacement.

      my teacher has this weird ass accent and doesn't know how to explain. for example, i ask him how did he know it was synthesis, he woud say, "just simpliy balancee the equation" and i am like wtfffff

    This essentially just saved my life, cant believe after 2 weeks I assumed that what I'd been learning was overly complicated and hard to understand, but now within a span of 20 minutes I know exactly what I need in preparation for my exam tomorrow, so thank you haha

    Thank you very much for how well you present the topics in Chem. You have a natural talent and gift in teaching. I just notice a minor flaw in the generic representation of Double Replacement; shouldn't it be: AB + CD yields AD + CB ?, since (A is pos. ion and D is neg. ion) and (C is pos. ion and B is neg. ion); thus, having a consistent order of sequence.

You break chemistry down into pure layman's terms and make it so simple to understand. You also get so hype about the topic, it's a lot much more entertaining than listening to my instructor's lectures where she sounds like she's falling asleep herself!
