When Asta replicated Yami’s death thrust with the air pressure from his katana I was losing my shit. I joined the hype train when ep 40 came out and man am I glad I stuck with Black Clover for 2 years. It was one helluva ride for sure. I like how this episode is called “the faraway future” or “haruka mirai”, I know Black Clover will come back one day, somewhere in the faraway future
I think they are waiting for more source material, they went ham on the last arc or two, with so little amount of filler that they caught up, something they haven't been able to do for 2 years
The creators said they want it to be more of a gap between the mange and the anime so we gotta wait for the manga too get a lil further

Asta’s name also means “love”. Just goes to show how much she loved both of her sons. Liebe was a second chance for her to raise a child because her magic would’ve killed Asta and there was nothing that she wouldn’t sacrifice for him.

What i find incredibly interesting is the idea that Asta is facing his fears in the form of a devil and everything that he thinks he cant be without it but he doesnt shy away he persists knowing that hes gone through even worse and these fears have been the whetstone of it all. Thats why i find it even more inspiring to see him befriend that personified fear and use it as his power to go forward with and become even better. It reminds me how mushashi miyamoto managed to turn his anxiety and fear into his greatest strengths and allies.

Bro am I the only one that feels bad for Asta having been given away by his mother and quite literally REPLACED when none of it was needed because he had no magic, like... you poor, poor boy.
His mom didn’t just drain mana from people she drained their very life force. So asta would have died if she kept him that’s why she lived alone because she sucked people’s actual life out of them
Asta turned out pretty good tho. I don't he would have gotten a setting of he didn't have yuno. And yuno would have never tried either without asta.
Actually Chapter 328 already stated that her magic capability isn't just sucking mana but also a life force. That's the reason she leave Asta at the church. Her magic didn't work on Liebe because of Liebe's anti magic skill.

Slight correction. It not that he has anti magic, it more like liebe is a demon without magic which is why he wasnt affected. Liebe was born a demon without magic and he develops "anti-magic" when he was sealed in the book cursing at the higher rank demon for years (which happens after licita death)

The anti magic is making him do it the hard way now, but the magic he does build is absorbed into his body, making it not be negated by his anti magic(because it's already assimilated and not magic anymore). Like his mother's ability with non-magical objects, his is with his non magical body

@@williamjohnson9935 I haven't even read the manga or watched the show in like a year and even I can point out like a half dozen reasons why this theory completely doesn't work in the lore. Asta is strong because he trains and has mastered ki. He has no mana, people have said this from the start, not that he has mana he can't control. No mana. He also has anti-magic which drains his mana, so he would become weaker every time he draws his sword. His mother drained him of his magic in the womb. I shouldn't have to point this out to you. Next time try using your brain.
