Oh also, yes, we're now moved and this is my lovely new garage!! Currently no bench etc but we will rebuild and get back to doing more work on bikes on the channel, because I miss it massively.
Rack looks very good on it. I would get a rear rack. Especially if you are using it for daily commuting. Adding a lockable box on the back (although ugly) just adds another stage of convenience to the bike if being used as a daily.
Yeah very pleased with it :) Yeah I need to find a way to secure my work backpack to it easily and that's what it'll be used for :) Yeah that'll be the Vstrom! Really need to get boxes for it.
I really like the look of the Z900RS (still No 1 on my wish list) so I was a bit anti adding a rack. I was sooo wrong, it enhances the look and it's useful too, nice one! Cheers, Andy. Oh and cool garage!
I have not tired of looking at it one but :P I love it. Haha I'm glad you agree with it's fitment, I thought about it a lot tbh and was pretty sure it'd line up nicely :) Thank you! How's your new one?
@TheGorillaBiker New garage is coming along, I'm insulating with "ecoquilt expert" over batons then plasterboard. Then we are having a new kitchen so will have a full range of units etc to play with. Looks a bit like a bad sci-fi scene at the moment with just the foil ecoquilt up 😂. I'm really enjoying the work and once the electrics are done (diy) I'll be able to do my front fork refurb, hel brake lines, caliper service and oil change + filters. Not been able to ride much due to house move etc so looking forward to a good autumn. Cheers, Andy.
Haha a cool look so :P I would love to insulate this garage cus it gets bloody hot!! Ah I love when you have jobs and new parts to get dug in to, enjoy it amigo and enjoy riding it afterwards :)
That looked a fiddle to get back together. Looks great though, well worth the sweat 😀 Def looks good in black. It adds to the bike rather than detracting from it, so it gets a thumbs up from me... Other bikes don't suit this stuff the same, but this, it works well with it! 🙂
It wasn't too bad really, nice that its one of those things I think anyone could do at home :) Yeah I really wanted the stock chrome grab rail, then I saw this in photos and it just clicked! Rare that it works out that well :)
Hurray for a 2 car garage and working on the z900! That rear rack blends in well! Looks stock. If you keep popping off these Z900 vids you are going to make me want a Z900.
The 2 car garage is honestly the best thing. Made moving house worth it :D That was the goal so really happy it worked out. Hahaha plenty more inbound :P
Hi, I am new here. I am looking into buying the 'yellow ball' and that rack will probably go on it. Because... it looks great ! Much better (and added functionality) then the the OEM chrome bar. I don't know if they can also serve as a grip for a passenger because It looks very close to the plastics. Anyhow, looking forward to the 'cases' you're going to put on your bike. Stickers are ONLY ok on adventure-bikes 😁
Welcome :) Ah nice! If I could have afforded one, that's 100% the bike I'd buy if money was no issue. Yes, it is very useful, already strapped my backpack to it for work a few times. Very nice to get it off your back. As a grip, not while riding I don't think sadly but it's useful for moving the bike around. They are on! A video will be out tomorrow :) Haha I agree! Or really old battered ones :P
It looks great, sir. Very tasteful look and matches the bike very well. Prob the only bike I'd hesitate to put luggage or a rack on would be sport bikes, excluding sport touring, which I think looks great with hard cases, ex. Kawasaki H2 SX. 👍🏽
Thank you! Yeah they had actual photos on their website which really helps as I knew it'd blend in really well. Yeah that's fair, sports bikes for me are a very focussed on one thing machine, and I love them, but I wouldn't tour on them. I'd sell a kidney for a H2 SX.
Hahaha I've always used the terms interchangeably :D My mother gave up on trying to get me to speak words more better :P I generally say zed tho :P Thanks man, absolutely delighted with how that came out.
Nice rack there! Really, it's great looking and as you said it that part looks like it could be from the factory. That's going to make your bike so much more useful now. I just got a rack myself and I'm looking forward to installing it.
Haha I was waiting for someone to say it :P Yeah it blends so so well even with the frame. Delighted :) Yeah much easier to slap a bag on there now!! Ohhhhh send photos when you do!
Yeah it blends in the stock look really nice which pleases my brain hole massively. Hahahaha. No. I'm not saying I wouldn't be open to it in future tho :P For a different bike.
So I've had a quick scroll through the comments and I'm sorry.....are we not going to talk about the socks? Or are we just gonna pretend we didn't see that?

God bless the Patrons.
If god is V4 incarnate, then yes. I'm sure he blesses all bike people :P
Looks good and fits the bike, as you say. It’s still common to see those 60s/70s Japanese standards with big old luggage racks on them.
Yeah exactly, its not as big as the normal ones would be say but nice and slim :)
Rack looks very good on it.

Good addition to the bike !
Hopefully it also proves useful :)

That rack is neat as. Love it.
I also really like it, I just looked at it for a while when I was done :P

Looks great mate 😎👌 Agree no stickers on your bike 😖
Thanks bud :) Stickers are what panniers are for :)

GB, you've changed.... I'm sure I heard you say Zee instead of Zed during the video. The US of A is having a bad effect on you 😂😂
Bike is looking 👍

Bike already looked perfect but the rack looks very nice. Its the kind of bike that would work perfectly as a timeshare bike too 😏
Yeah it blends in the stock look really nice which pleases my brain hole massively. Hahahaha. No. I'm not saying I wouldn't be open to it in future tho :P For a different bike.
Fine it'll have to be with a V4 then 😎
2024 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory??????
I'm sold, heard it's a great beginning bike too
Super safe. Nice and slow :P
Looks well boss
Thanks bud! Delighted with it!
For anyone doing this, put soapy water on the grommets and the fairing will pop right in. The water dries and you don't have damaged grommets.
I afterwards went back and put red rubber grease on them all, much happier now once I replaced the torn one. Very good advice tho!
Next time, use a small amount of grease for those gromets, the plastic will slide very easy and wont damage the rubber
I put red rubber grease on in the end off camera, the rear most one was already goosed when I was looking back in editing.
i love the looks and i will buy one.
sadly they dont offer a chrome option
It's a really nice bit of kit. You could probably get it chromed afterwards if you wanted to but I'd imagine that'd add a fair chunk to the cost!
So I've had a quick scroll through the comments and I'm sorry.....are we not going to talk about the socks? Or are we just gonna pretend we didn't see that?
I'm glad you're back commenting, I was honestly disappointed no one valued my magnificent socks.
@@TheGorillaBiker magnificent is a string word....curious seems more apt 🤣
@@kazawhaki60 listen. They're magnificent.
