“Alien: Romulus” takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (“Civil War”), David Jonsson (“Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy”), Archie Renaux (“Shadow and Bone”), Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”), Spike Fearn (“Aftersun”), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (“Evil Dead,” “Don’t Breathe”) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (“Don’t Breathe 2”) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. “Alien: Romulus” is produced by Ridley Scott (“Napoleon”), who directed the original “Alien” and produced and directed the series’ entries “Prometheus” and “Alien: Covenant,” Michael Pruss (“Boston Strangler”), and Walter Hill (“Alien”), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (“Charlie’s Angels”), Brent O’Connor (“Bullet Train”), and Tom Moran (“Unstoppable”) serving as executive producers.

@@abrimfulofasha my theory is that the blob that floats through the red barrier is the charred chap. He gets resurrected (I think by black goo). And that causes the body morphing.
Just my thoughts.

I've read the leaked plot. It's going to be mental and alien fans will love it.
That xray scene might be one of the best moments of the film that looked brutal glad they didn’t show it all.
Safely my most anticipated movie of the rest of the year. I absolutely love Fede Alvarez’s take on Evil Dead from 2013, and I think 2016’s Don’t Breathe is a rock solid film as well. With this, I don’t think someone could better could tackle this particular franchise. When it comes to the trailer, a trailer’s job is to raise the excitement, and this trailer absolutely did that. Can’t wait to see this movie!

@@NinthShinigami Absolutely. I’m hoping this movie will be a great bridge between Alien & Aliens and the current state of sci-fi & horror. Having elements that respect those two films, but also injecting new life into the broad strokes of what that pair of films did fantastically.
@@MichaelTomsyck agreed. I see this movie the same way I see Godzilla Minus One. Every way to make it for the modern day and age with VFX and technology, but keep some original stuff in there while still treading new ground with it. A tough balancing act but one that feels natural for these franchises 🔥
I would have zero faith in this if it didn't have Alvarez name on it. Ridley Scott doesn't mean much these days but Alvarez knows horror more than any other director working in the genre imo. Him and Ari aster horror GOATs.
Imagine a The Thing movie with Fede Alvarez as director & John Carpenter as producer?! That'd be awesome!
That x ray view of the chest buster in the girls chest was SO FUCKING SICK!!! This looks like it could be one of the best
that scene was crazy awesome, they never done that before!! as well as the one trying to keep the tentacle out of his mouth from the facehugger!!
The reveal that the thumping sound was the chest burster banging against her rib cage was horrific! Like some twisted rendition of a heartbeat. 😨
I really liked that added scene. I do wish that they would have saved it everyone to see in the theater. It would have been awesome to see it for the first time on the first watch.

this trailer looked amazing. they’re bringing back the horror roots, the claustrophobia, the alien in the shadows, all of it. also we appreciate the quick reactions 🤝🤝

100 true....even in aliens the scene where Ripley throws the facehugger off her across the room and it gets back up...that far shot of the facehugger running back towards her really freaked me out.....this movie looks fantastic

This is what modern horror trailers should strive to be shows enough to get you excited without showing you the entire movie. This is my most anticipated movie of the year. Anytime Fede Alverez is attached to a movie, I will always be interested. Love your channel, man, between you and cody Leach. I'm always watching yalls videos.
They have absolutely killed it with these trailers. I thought the first teaser was one of the best first teasers since The Force Awakens. And this trailer may have topped the first, the ending where it's just silent as the title fades in just like the original Alien teaser, perfection. Not to mention that the movie itself looks absolutely incredible, I am so damn excited for this.
This..was NICE. Glad that Scott allowed someone else to give a fresh direction on this franchise. Plenty of nostalgia..from the original title blocking.. to the steel metal iris opening from the Dallas moments. Somebody has actually done some homework. Atmosphere,color palette,sound effects are all so impactful. I can't wait for the full blown experience. Your critique and insight are on point. Thanks for the overview....keep grindin' them out!! I love the call back to the original movie line "no one can hear you scream" but to cut the sound away during the word "scream" and leaves the word out, while seeing her scream.
I like the focus on the face huggers too. It’s looks like we are getting multiple sequences with them little buggers.

My two favorite things a new Alien movie and a Sean Chandler post. The trailer looked really interesting and it definitely had a creepy vibe. I can definitely see Fede’s creative view.

I agree…..this movie appears to be everything I’ve been waiting for. As a huge Alien franchise fan I am more than stoked to see this movie. Fede is bring old school back and he’s bringing the terror with it too.

I can’t believe I’m saying this (although I didn’t grow up with the first two, despite being a massive fan) but I think this one might actually top those for me. Everything being shown and everything Fede has said about the film is just an Alien dream come true for me
Ever since the movie had fede’s name on it, it’s been in the my top 3 for movies that I am most excited to watch this year along side of joker 2 and Robert eggers’s Nosferatu. Now with what has been shown off i am pretty confident of saying that this is the movie I am most looking forward to watching in the summer.

when the girl is blocking the light shining on her face with her hand, the shadow of her hand on her face looks like a face-hugger

I think most movies fail the box office nowadays. Its not always the movies. People cant afford to go anymore. How fcking expensive is it to go to a movie these days!
It looks like what the fans need and want. They say the movies nowadays are carbon copies of eachother. Ridley Scott tried something totally different and look what happened. Now, they are doing the good old formula and everyone seems to be happy again. For now.... ....

Holy crap now i gotta finish alien isolation soon
there's just 6 cast members and one is an android, we see the brit and the asian girl get face hugged, leaving only 2 more plausible kills in the film as im not counting the android or the main played by Cailee Spaeny. So i'm not expecting gore porn, maybe 2 to 3 really gory scenes with 95% tension and horror.

Sean you should really check out the game alien isolation. It’s canon to the alien movies and the main character is Ripleys daughter. This movie looks a lot like it.

It feels like it would have to do a lot to beat the predecessors (the classics) and those more recent within the genre (Dead Space video game series). I was not impressed with this trailer. I do actually wonder if it will be better than Event Horizon which is one of my personal favs in the genre but not overall. I felt 0 intensity in the trailer, I don't know why. I was impressed with earlier trailers, still wait and see for me.

I did not want to see people dying. These scenes now have no tension as you know what will happen. The first movie had an incredibly ambiguous trailer. Why we have to show kills I do not know why

I'm hopeful but also cautious. The director has done good work, love that it has a true horror vibe again & cinematography looks good.
On the downside, a crew of inclusive box ticking teens, so many references/same shots as Alien & Aliens makes it feel like a straight reboot but for modern audiences.
Just have to wait and see.
